Awesome video Alc, really enjoyed this one

Andreas Wiedemann

good one. didn`t think of it like that

Anonymous

Great stuff. More history stuff like this would be awesome.

Anonymous

This was amazing Alch. Hopefully our environment is conducive for Kuminga, Wiseman and Moody

Anonymous

Great job Alc.

Anonymous

Great piece Alch! Wow…love these documentary pieces.

Anonymous

Loved this. Appreciate it more knowing that you put your creative, investigative, and insight skills in to it more so than your typical game breakdown.

Anonymous

I still remember back then how every single Warriors fan was begging for him to get more minutes...

Anonymous

Dope video homie

Anonymous

u should do more of these old school throwback vids, helps keeps things in perspective

Anonymous

dope style of video man!

Anonymous

man i was incredibly high on randolph back in the day as well. I remember hearing about some nba teams looking at him as recent as 2 years ago but never pulling the trigger. really is a head scratcher that he never became a productive nba player

Anonymous

i hope you're not alluding that this could be james wiseman's path... another lefty with all the physical traits in the world... not sure my heart could take the disappointment again lol

Anonymous

Man looking back, I was hella desperate to see if guys like Brandon Wright and Randolph would be great players. We were down horrendous 😂

Anonymous

You should throw this on YouTube.

Anonymous

How do we get you on Netflix? Alc Doc's coming to a theater near you! Super impressive work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous

Love how you basically broke down life - nature, nurture, timing, environment, character. Ingredients that mix and always produce interesting results. Love how you throw in the mystery of how things unfold. Who knows if there would have been a GSW dystany if AR stayed healthy. This reflective doc style is super powerful!!! Super amazing work!!!

This was a sick video. Its like I was watching an ESPN 30 for 30. Just watching the highlights of Randolph, he looks like Siakam with a better handle. The duo of him and Curry couldve been deadly, but I dont think I can justify trading Klay and prime Draymond for that potential. An all-star trio beats out and all-star duo 9 times out of 10, and then who knows if we ever get KD. This was an awesome video and seeing what couldve been with Randolph is unfortunate. As much as we did like Nelson for the most part, his hard nosed approach did definitely stifle his impact. I dont see him ever coming back to the NBA. Not at 31. That being said, do you think you can do a video like this on someone like Andris Biedrins that was a whole story in itself.

More docs bro. Sick video

Great vid. Oh how important environment is to develop talent, sculpt the individual. I remember this draft, and then the subsequent next year and then the next when he was with Curry and how the future seemed so bright. I was super pissed how Neilly was jerking not only his playing time around, but how I was being jerked as a fan, wanting to see Randolph develop and wanting to see him play but then Neilly doing his "thing". And it is with this kind of hindsight and experience that I view the current Warriors cabal. I think that the coaching staff completely screwed Wisemans first year. The warriors dont run a simple system and to run Wiseman into that system, shooting threes and complex offensive dynamics was ludicrous. Anyone, anyone who understands developmental methods for learning a skill understands that you develop basic foundational aspect to your game and then layer idiosyncrasies of a more complex game on top of that foundational expertise. You do not build a house on a rotten foundation. Neurologically and functionally when we are not secure and in perfection in the basics, then the whole house of cards just collapses. I am hoping the Warriors realized the error of their ways and that is why they brought in Atkinson , Mahlalela, Milojević, etc. In the entirety of my schooling, all the way through post grad, I had only 2 great teachers, (both fired). These beautiful souls, in both cases, made me rethink my life focus and my career. They evoked from me interest and my best self. And they were rare. There is no difference between this example and any learning environment. Right now the Warriors veterans, only need guidance. The focus for the team should be developmental, to get the younger players up to speed, enhance and integrate their skills. Great teachers will do this. I hope for the best.

good one

Sensational Insights... more of this please.. Biedrins next? Lol - The getting paid effect...

Ayee this was good!

Anonymous

I have a lot to say on this but most importantly this has to be my favorite alchemy breakdown ever.

John Z

Legit, you hit it on the head. I thought Randolph was our guy for the future after Baron dipped, didn't even pay attention to Steph lol. Trip seeing Ingles as a rook too. Great stuff Alch.

Anonymous

This is dope Alch! Now this is a guy that can be compared to LO. Looking back at his highlights, I would be more excited for a guy like this than a Wiseman. The motor is different and AR had a nastiness about him, he just felt like a sure thing.

Anonymous

Fantastic, man. Thanks

Anonymous

Im actually kind of worried that Wiseman is not gonna get himself enough run and will fade out like AR did. I was really upset he was milking the injury into summer league... the guy seriously needs run.... and it seems like he just looks for reasons to sit out.... even back in college.

Anonymous

Wow, that was good. Production values through the roof. And a little James content thrown in!

Keith Reynolds Jr.

Great video!!!!! Like you I thought AR was going to be the one man. Funny story. I was out with my boys at a bar called the redroom in SF he comes in and was like sitting in the corner all by himself. Very humble dude but very introverted as well! To the point where is was very noticeable. Maybe that is why he likes staying out of the NBA spotlight. Kerr to my unfortunately has a lot of Fon Nelson in him. That scares me for the rookies we have and there development. The warriors let Don Nelson ruin a few young players man, and I hope Kerr doesn't do that with the young guys we have.

come on bruh. its a meniscus injury not a booboo. you dont just kiss it away

CNeep

Wow. What a great break down and nostalgic blast from the past for us true believers in the Dubs. You may or may not believe this, but weirdly I was thinking about Anthony Randolph a few days ago. I think I saw him randmoly in a NBA reply video or something. I was wondering what happened to him. Mystery solved.

Jello Smooth

Amazing bro, I forgot curry and Randolph were even on the same team…. but timing and environment - would Draymond be that special if he did not anchor a team with the best shooting known to man which made all the other little things so crucial … screens, passing in the half court… this short was exceptional homie!!!

Anonymous

this gives me chills… Hopefully Wiseman has a better career path

Patrick Kennedy

So so good. Great choice, Alch; do what you love!

Anonymous

One of your best episodes. Thank you

Anonymous

This was awesome, Alch. Bravo!!

Jerry Heverly

This is precisely why Steve Kerr is the most valuable person in the organization (with the one obvious exception).....and despite the dubious criticism of his x's and o's abilities. Nellie was a smart tactician. He was responsible for Run TMC and innovated other strategies, but he did not have Kerr's ability to handle the NBA egos. If you want another crack at an NBA tilte.....stick with Kerr.

Anonymous

fantastic production. one of your finest video.

Anonymous

Nice video, alch. Man, i remember watching AR back in the day. I didn't watch much nba basketball back then (i live in the philippines so nba games conflicted with my college schedule) but whenever I get to watch warrior highlights, i always thought that AR had great potential. I remember feeling bad when he got injured because I became a warrior fan in steph's rookie season. I believed steph, monta, and randolph had enough talent between them to lead the warriors to many and possibly deep playoff runs after developing for a couple of seasons.

Anonymous

To me AR was too much flash and highlights but not enough fundamentals(good picks, box out, passing, things that Looney does consistently well that gets him minutes)

Anonymous

Have you read the 6th man? Exactly what you are talking about.

Ryan Mitchell

Dude - whhhhaaaat!! That was so legit! I have underestimated your skills Alc. love it - 🔥

Anonymous

This is a great video. Very nicely done.

Anonymous

Nice one, Alch! I was so amped on Randolph and so frustrated at the time that we never got to fully see him develop. Man, that blast from the past does bring up some sour memories though of how dysfunctional shit used to be in dubs land.

Anonymous

Really exceptional work Alch, it was fun going down memory lane.

Anonymous

As someone who only got back into following the league in the last 4 or so seasons I really appreciate it anytime a quality content creator focuses on the history of the game. Great stuff Alch you're well worth every cent us patreons pay.

Anonymous

Man this hit so hard Alch.. On your 30 for 30 shiiit! its still fuckin dope on my 3rd watch. Haha I didnt even know ingles was a GS rook either!!

Anonymous

Damn this was straight fire dude
