Beal to the warriors any second now..

Anonymous

Btw I have a feeling Jonathan is going to slip to us

Anonymous

Been waiting on this 1

Anonymous

Sorry to hijack, but I assume you won’t be covering game 6 of the finals?

Anonymous

Excited to hear your thoughts on Kuminga Being that the draft is less than a week away, I doubt you'll be able to do any more scouting breakdowns but I'd like to hear thoughts on Trey Murphy vs Chris Duarte at 14.

Anonymous

Scroll down in the feed, you'll see the game 6 breakdown.

Anonymous

The wrist analysis alone was worth the price of admission. <3. How are his screens?

Anonymous

Damn, look at him roof Jordan Poole!

athleticalchemy

they didn't have him setting many form what I saw.. but you imagine with his physicality he be more than willing.. specially with stephs gravity

athleticalchemy

yeah its a squeeze this year...I might just try and fit in a lotto big board.. but with admittedly not nearly enough time to truly evaluate all these kids. If they keep the picks and I have covered them yet I will do deep dive post draft

Anonymous

I'm team Kuminga. If they could push Wiggins on the defensive end then I think there's hope for Kuminga to get better.

Anonymous

Hey wanted your take on a trade, I thought would be great for the warriors, it would be sign and trade involving Kelly oubre, and Eric paschal and our 14, heading to pistons for Bey, plumle and Wayne , I know Wayne is free agent maybe he could also be signed and traded, plumle would help with depth at center, bey is a perfect 3and D the can take advantage of curry gravity and so would Wayne. Pistons would get another great wing defender and paschal is small 4 who could come off the bench for them, and pistons would use the 14th to replace bey??

athleticalchemy

If they like the kid as a person you pounce! It’s just a real tough evaluation.. the g league comp is solid, but the circumstances are so different

Anonymous

A 6'8" Westbrook is a really dumb LeBron.

Anonymous

Alch I'm curious on your take with all the pacers news. Is wiggins wiseman 7 and 14 for myles and brogdon a fair trade? Maybe they keep pick one of the picks, im not sure, just curious what you think.

Anonymous

ditto. This is the prospect im most curious on Alch's take. cant wait to watch

Daniel Fries

you gonna do any olympic takes?

Anonymous

How reliable is talking to former coaches etc about him? And assuming that's what Presti did, how likely is the eye of the tiger? And do they have tigers in the congo or only lions. His physicality is super special.

Anonymous

If he's still there at 7, then he's the pick. At 7 with the high rookie price tag, there's gotta be upside, if not move down or off the draft capital entirely.

athleticalchemy

normally yeah.. bu we see how the big 3 is putting the pressure on them to get a win now player

Anonymous

If he's there at 7, the Dubs have to take him. I also wonder if this kid might have another couple of inches or so to grow, since he is so young? I realize that really can't be known, but an interesting thought. Of course, watch the Warriors shock us all and take Josh Giddey at 7. That would be a Warriors like move.

Anonymous

Love these breakdowns. Really excited to see how they pan out. Quick question.. do you have any interest in covering the Olympic team or is that situation just a lost cause?? 😂😂

Anonymous

at 7 if he is available, got to take him.

Anonymous

Your draft breakdowns, and last year’s too, are so great, but often leave me more confused than I was before. Not a criticism—more like it’s what a good teacher does… gives you the un-sugar-coated facts and let’s you make up your own mind. The first half of the vids I’m like “Yes! This is definitely the guy! Please let him be available at #7! F Beal!” Then after you present the downside I’m like “good lord, stay away from this washout!” I guess you just never know…in a world where a 41st pick becomes MVP, and a 35th is a perennial DPOY candidate…conventional wisdom ain’t what it used to be

athleticalchemy

I will talk some in the weekly Hezi and might do the medal games.. but this has been the longest season I’ve ever had to cover, I needs little break from the breakdowns

athleticalchemy

I go thru the same process creating them! Kuminga scares me. I hope they got a good amount of time with him off the court. That’s where they should use Steph.. he should be at the dinners and stuff.

Windfury

Here is a trade proposal based on some news I saw about the Rockets and Pacers with the Rockets trying to get the Pacers 13 pick for Eric Gordon- Rockets get: Oubre in sign and trade, with Houston being Oubre's second home growing up, and Warriors 14 pick Pacers get: Eric Gordon and Rockets 23 pick Warriors get: Myles Turner and the Rockets 24 pick Just a thought but I think its one of the few sign and trade destinations Oubre would be interested in.

Jello Smooth

Fam bam… been waiting for my alchemy update …. Kuminga gives me MKG vibes

Jello Smooth

Kuminga MKG, Stanley Johnson - Uber athletes that whose fundamentals suck … his gifts were given and not earned…. Nah … I let someone trade up for him

athleticalchemy

I like it.. I agree I could see him wanting to go there.. even tho KPJ will take the alpha role. KO will think it’s his initially. Imagine Kerr being forced to run out twin towers at times

Anonymous

Bro looking at the rookie Giannis pics and than looking at this dude he could really be a beast in a couple years.

Another nice draft vid. If Kuminga is there at 7, Dubs have to really think about taking him. I think they should if he's there, but he is also very raw. Do the Dubs want another project after the Wiseman experience last season? It'd be better than what happened with Smiley last season, at least. Also, I'm not sure if you'll have a chance to get to him, but what are your thoughts on Franz Wagner from Michigan? He may not be a sexy pick and 7 may be high for him, but he looks more ready to contribute now than Kuminga. 20 year old 2-way wing at 6'9" who defends at a high level, passes well for a big wing, and a good outside shooter at 34%. Only knocks are a lack of athleticism, slightly right hand dominant and a slow release. He also has some international experience playing with Alba Berlin in Germany before his 2 seasons at Michigan. Could be this year's Deni Avdija.

Apparently he’s grown: “Wagner, who told reporters he now is 6-foot-11” https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/nba-draft-2021-why-franz-wagner-thinks-hes-ideal-warriors-fit

Hey Alch, curious if you've checked out Chris Duarte? I love his game, I know he's older, but I don't really see it is as that big of an issue. Love his game and it seems he thinks the game out and knows where to be. Athleticism isn't anything off the charts, but he's solid. I think he could be a smart enough player to be flow in the offense and his defensive fundamentals are solid.

Branden Edwards

If he's there at 7 they have to take him. Stash him in the g league for a season

athleticalchemy

Outside the top 10 he sounds like a nice pick. I haven’t taken a look. But I like what I’ve heard.. shooter and a dawg

Anonymous

Going after the Draymond "I'm a basketball player" mold, I like him lol I just want guys that know how to play. Especially with the window slowly closing, we need dudes that know how to rotate a defense and want to get after it. If Duarte got some Dillon Brooks in him, I couldn't be happier.

Anonymous

I don't get this "have to" mentality. There is a reason he is sliding on the board. If we put him in the g league we basically forfeit a valuable roster spot that can potentially be the X factor that helps the trio win one more championship

Anonymous

How are we feeling with the pick guys?

Jello Smooth

Alch nailed it … moody at 14 and Kuminga with moor trade value…

Anonymous

Im honestly seeing this guy more like a gerald wallace/ Josh Smith style player. hes a lot stronger than the guys they compare him too (at age 18). also i think his mindset if when he is out there is going to be defensive activity and using his athletic ability that way. .... i dont see jalen brown at all.

Anonymous

I finally got access. Whoop whoop... Great comment about his wrist. Seems to me the ball coming to much to his midline could be adding to that problem?
