Can't wait for the Davion Mitchell breakdown

Anonymous

Why make a video on a kid that absolutely won’t fall to 7; Don’t want to sound like a d^#% but let’s see the scouting report on Davion Mitchell, James Bouknight, Franz Wagner, Moses Moody, and even Chris Duarte for the 14th pick.. Oh yeah and Jalen Johnson and Zaire Williams for extra wing help.

Anonymous

If he drops to 7, he's absolutely the pick. Curious if the Warriors try to package 7&14 to try and move into the top 5

Anonymous

Maybe the warriors can move up to top 5 by packaging the 7&14 picks?

Anonymous

Nooooo not for no Scottie Barnes hell no.. We’re not looking for projects; we need players that can play right now.. The only player I would move up for is Jalen Green but sheesh James Bouknight is a walking bucket himself.. People will realize how good this draft class is a couple of years from now.. There is a ton of depth and we’re better off having two swings at really good players

athleticalchemy

I got to do my due diligence.. hence why I had to look at Scotty! He is vital to the context of ranking these guys

Anonymous

We’re going to move up in the draft for an all defensive player who isn’t crafty enough to score at a high level?.. We need more scorers that provide good team defense.. We have enough defense in Draymond, Klay, and Wiggins.. Plus when Wiseman actually starts getting better on D; we will be elite.. We need more scoring power.. Can never have too many scorers.. Brooklyn will be the team we need to beat next year.. We need at least 5 bonafide scorers

Anonymous

If we could convince Derrick Rose to play for the mid level then we should just draft James Bouknight and Chris Duarte or maybe even Moody and Mitchell.. But we need more walking buckets

Russ

Do u think we can possibly get him at 7?

athleticalchemy

You go get the BAP .. Jalen could be Terence Ross (again I got see more) but don’t draft for need.. that’s worst idea

Anonymous

The Warriors will most likely draft a 2-3 year project because ownership knows we are not a championship team without Game 6 Klay, whom we have a slim to none chance of getting this following season.

Keith Reynolds Jr.

Greta breakdown bro... When I saw him in highschool I said to myself I hope the warriors get him some day. He has dog in him and the second unit for sure needs that. Him and JTA would be a great defensive combination out there. I see Iggy in him. The dream would be him and Moody or Trey Murphy, but we will see how it goes. I think the warriors could possibly get him. I think Houston would take the guard out of the G League, and Magic will take Mitchell. He may be there for the warriors. We will see!

This was a helpful analysis for someone who doesn't watch college ball. While I Iike Scottie as a prospect, last year's debacle has shaken my confidence in the W's Player Development team's ability to develop an raw offensive player like Scottie into an All-Star. Bouknight and Moody are the two guys I'm eying at 7 and 14. Great work as always‼💪🏿

Scotty Barnes is a freak of nature. He has the size to switch everything defensively, perfect for the Warriors. His love for the game it evident whenever you watch him play. Scotty is a force multiplier, the kind of player who makes everybody better. You will have to move up a few spots to get him, but it would be well worth it.

There's so much talent and length in this draft I don't think the Warriors need to trade up. Good players will slip. I'm hoping we can see videos on Wagner, Moody, and Bouknight. But thanks for this video Alc! Can tell you like him as a prospect.

Anonymous

Many people and Warrior podcast holders advocate that we should draft a player ready to contribute day one. They often pick Davion Michell, which i think is a bad bad choice for 7 spot, possibly not better than Wanamaker. The hard truth is if only care about immediate contribution, you should go for veterans. When drafting, you should go for talents, and find some skills the player can contribute in day one. In this case , I like Scottie Barnes a lot.

Anonymous

Alc, good analysis. is Mose Moody also on the list for your prospect analysis?

Anonymous

the thing is we don’t want another Wiseman case, someone with raw talent but can’t help Steph

Anonymous

You said top 5 so is Jonathan kuminga not in there?

athleticalchemy

I will eventually release a big board, as of right now Suggs and Kuminga are on the bubble of the top 5

Anonymous

Imagine if the Warriors could have drafted Tyrese Haliburton and Saddiq Bey from last year's draft. They were both on their radar. I think they're capable of finding that kind of value this year at 7 and 14.

Anonymous

Hope you check out the tre murphy kid

Anonymous

Nice work! I loved the breakdowns you did last year on prospects. It's such a fun time of year when us fans get to play armchair GM. I'm going to get selfish and hope/wish you're able to give us breakdowns of: Suggs, Mitchell, Bouknight, Keon Johnson, Moody, Kuminga, Wagner, Jalen Johnson, Giddey, Kispert, Trey Murphy, Zaire Willams, and Sengun. Of course, the top 3 picks would be cool, but I'm more curious about your takes on the players that the Warriors may be picking up.

Drafting 8th, no matter who they get, he will have some sort of weakness or flaw. This kid (unknown to me until now) looks to me like someone who will never be a shooter in the NBA, but his defense looks outstanding. Can the Warriors afford a non-shooter on their second team? That will put a lot of pressure on Poole, who would be the only real scorer on the floor. I look forward to your future videos to see if there might ba a more complete player out there.

Ryan Mitchell

Love these draft breakdowns - absolute fire

paul reboca sr

brother Alch, have you peeped out Tre Murphy? this kid is something else. if you get a chance check him out. i think he could be a nice piece our our warrior puzzle. be blessed

Anonymous

These breakdowns are the best part of the sumemr

Anonymous

I'm beyond excited for these great breakdown! Hope you get to Davion Mitchell soon 🙏

Anonymous

nuanced takes! if we're keeping the 7th pick, i think a vid on bouknight vs moody would be pretty interesting, since those 2 are the best prospects at that draft slot. what do u think?

Anonymous

The sleeper i love (maybe at the 14 pick) is Trey Murphy. His film is impressive....6'9", over 7' wingspan, over 40% for 3's, can pass a dime.

Anonymous

Seems like a Kerr type player

Anonymous

LO’s game was just so damn smooth tho! Miss watching him, don’t know if Scottie has that kind of fluidity in his movements. And if he isn’t smooth and doesn’t want to be physical when attacking the rim, it’s gonna be tough. I think he’s too confident to not improve and show out down the line

Anonymous

I like that he’s not being talked about, could be a steal for any team. I’m impressed with his shot selection, he rarely forces anything

athleticalchemy

No you right.. LO was much more fluid and talented. But character and work ethic is s different story. It won’t look the same but he could have a similar impact

Anonymous

More of this please I look forward to other draft clips. Appreciate all the top notch content!

Vulacior

Would for sure help him to learn from one of the best shot contesters ever in Draymond. But just a dray, to me he'd be a 4 in the warriors system for sure.

paul reboca sr

i can see the writing on the wall, its over for the bucks. i have a feeling that Giannis isn't coachable at this point of his career. 2 time MVP? that

paul reboca sr

thats why curry being a 2 time MVP and Giannis, look at the humilty in both players.

Anonymous

Great breakdown. It will make watching him in the NBA, no matter what team he's on, much more fun!
