Joker lowkey gotta drop a 40 pt triple double every game for them to win

athleticalchemy

He has to switch those PnR this hovering he is doing is just useless. That and I’d come out and try and pop a few 3 s on Ayton early.. get him to crowd you more

Neba Jorgacevic

Jokic is a perenial overacheiver and all he's done in throughout his career is overacheive. He has also steadily improved every year and he likes to make everyone happy around him which translates into team basketball. So they won a series without 5,6 players from last year's roster, playing as a team, with different people stepping up at different times. Now on the other hand Suns just beat reigning champs and are riding high, they also have Paul who in their mind deserved to be MVP so the came out firing on all cylinders looking unbeatable these two games, but that being said Paul is 36 and father time will have a say, probably sooner rather then later here.

If this Suns team can make the finals, do you think they have a shot at beating Brooklyn?(Yeah I know I wrote off the Bucks and 76ers, but I don't think either of them have a chance against the Nets) Also, if the Suns do make the finals, since you're in the Arizona area, you should consider taking yourself and your daughter to a Finals game. Would be a dope experience for both of you seeing CP3/Booker/Kyrie/Harden/KD on the biggest stage.

athleticalchemy

Yeah there are a ton of elements at play. No shame in going out to this Suns team. But ultimately, you look at the power teams and say how does Jok stay on the floor? They are all PnR dominant

athleticalchemy

If Joel can stay upright, I feel like they should put up a good fight. ... love to get to a finals game! Probably be 7-8 a pop tho

I like that two-faced analogy with Šarić. Imagine if he played like he did tonight in college as a rookie. He'd be a top 5 pick regardless of his lack of athleticism. But if he played the way he tends to not only in stretches of games but stretches in the season, he'd be lucky to get swooped up in the latter end of the 2nd round.

It's possible his defensive liability keeps him from ever winning a title, but to be fair, how many plus defenders has Denver surrounded him with? They got Gordon which seems to have been a great fit, but as good as Murray is/was, and Porter Jr. has shown he could be, neither of those guys will ever be elite defenders, they're just trying to be adequate. How good we've seen Jokic make these backup guards look, maybe he doesnt need two elite max level offensive weapons surrounding him. Maybe its moving off of top tier weapons or assets to get a collection of versatile two-way wings who help limit the defensively liability the Joker creates in the post-season.

Michael Strahan 😂 😂 A-1 references as usual! Suns/Jazz would be dope. Navigating Gobert would be a diff story for these Phx wings.

I was unironically a Darop Saric fan during his rookie year, the dude was literately carrying the sixers as the number one option. To this day I still believe he should've won ROY over Brogdon. The team of course sucked but he showed he was very versatile offensively

That bullshit about Michael Porters back pain in this game not being related to previous back is well, just bullshit. He had two surgeries related to the vertebral discs in his low back. You do not get those disc injuries without previous anomalies in the kinesthetic chain (see muscles) in the back. Chronic muscle spasm restricting the movement of the disc causes the disc to degenerate over time. This then leads to the need for surgery. And now, just randomly, out of no where, Porter's back takes a shit, and his game goes into the can, and this is not related to the previous unresolved issues in his low back? ....right . The surgery maybe fixed the disc, but the muscles in the back are still a problem. It is near criminal that one of the most promising upcoming stars is already hobbled by the professionals that are supposed to be watching over his well being.

I'm a fan of Jokic, so it's sad to see Denver got beaten this bad. It just seems to me that the "pass first" philosophy gets exposed in the Playoffs, when defense gets better. However hard you try to get "good looks", you just won't get many, and when push comes to shove, you don't have enough guys that can make tough shots. I'd like to see Jokic look for his own offense more next season. This season is probably a wrap since he can't beat Ayton, and Denver doesn't have much else.

I think Ayton's the reason Jokic is looking to pass. Against Gobert Jokic got the blinders on.

Wonder what CP was saying to JaVale at the end. Haha. Speaking of... CJ gotta be traded but what do you think about JaVale replacing Nurk/Zach Collins. JaVale on a budget, pretty durable, high motor and during his last Finals run with the Warriors, I remember thinking he looked decent spacing the perimeter players on D

It's going to take a few years but eventually DeAndre Ayton is going to be a dead ringer for Redd Foxx.
