pre graduation vids 🙌🏽

Anonymous

Was waiting for the vid gotta join a class in 30 min and i knew i wouldnt be able to pay attention if i could watch the vid before! Thought we played good altough steph and dray were a little too uncaring with the ball, classic steph dribbling off shooting on night.

Anonymous

Before I even watch this gotta say it was a great game. Steph had an all-time performance, no one has ever played the way Steph did last night with that many dudes chasing him, hounding him, and being that physical with him. Then again steph and dray tried to pass through hands wayyyy to many times. Thats what cost us the game. ALSO STEVE KERR NOT CALLING A TIMEOUT WITH A FULL COURT PRESS AND 10 SECONDS LEFT... COULDVE QUESTION MARK KICKED MY TV

Anonymous

Only thing I gotta say is.. why is Lebron so dramatic? I mean, I'm not a huge fan but I recognize the game. And he's got way too much game to be flopping and being a drama queen in my opinion.

Anonymous

Great game. I'm worried about an emotional letdown on Friday. I think the season has been a success either way. We got a few classic games, and found some good young role players for next year.

Anonymous

First off, much respect to them for taking the Lakers to the brink despite a shortened rotation. They gave them hell on the defensive end, especially in the first half. It felt like we had full control because the Lakers just couldn’t get great looks. But, just like all season long, the turnovers and fouling cost us in the third. Also the transition defense hasn’t been good recently and cost us this game and nearly the MEM one. There were multiple times where there were momentum killers in the second half. Off the top of my head: Bazemore going fucking 1-on-4 fast break and challenging Lebron at the rim, Wiggins being wide open at the rim and just losing the ball like Wiseman, Draymond (for whatever reason) trying to dunk on AD and Lebron, etc. Well it all comes down to tomorrow. MEM looks hungry and it won’t be a cakewalk. If they cut down the turnovers, talk in transition, and gang rebound on the boards, they should be able to pull out a win. And maybe we’ll get a favorable whistle because frankly, Steph brings ratings and no one wants to watch a MEM and Utah series.

Nathan Glanzer

It's such bullshit to me that opposing benches can fuck with shooters in the corner...

Dashaya Toney

I don't see how you can say Steph didn't play well...dude was getting hounded every possession and getting fouled off-ball constantly but still made every shot down the stretch when the team needed it and killed the Lakers momentum

Anonymous

Just when I'm supposed to go to bed...! 😅

Jansen E

If Jordan Poole completed that crossover to Lebron poster, I wouldve jizzed myself. Swear if that highlight is completed and the Warriors win that game, that clip goes down in history as one of the best single highlights of all time. Shame too cuz Lebron didnt even block it. Poole just lost it. But I LOVE that he had absolutely no fear. Still a sick cross though. As for the rest of the game. Wiggins and Draymonds defense was great. The overall defense in the first half was near impeccable. We broke down in the 3rd. But that was almost expected. I hate that this game came down to a couple bad calls and some oscar worthy flopping from Wesley "Too Trash to be valuable so I flop" Matthews. Bazemore's always-100 speed kinda lost us some good possessions and classic Mulder never being able to score in games that mattered. Overall, Im hurt by the loss, but not too upset. Im more nervous about a revenge game from Dylan Brooks. We need to foul that fool out or itll get ugly. I do NOT want to get bounced out by the damn Grizzlies. I'd rather get swept in the 1st round tbh. But honestly, I think we might push the Jazz to at least 6 if we face them.

Anonymous

I agree Unc. Steph must've been so focused on having a good shooting night he forgot about defense, passing, and tight handle.... Against such a great defense I agree his floor game looked a little soft. He was playing like he was in the back yard and Lakers were defending him like it was the nba finals. Also love Poole testing Lebron on that dunk attempt. He got fouled.

Anonymous

This game gave us confidence. We coming for that upset in the utah series

Anonymous

Great playoff game! Warriors played their heart out. Of course we want to see more of this. Will they have enough in the tank for Memphis? Will they have enough down low to keep Valančiūnas from beating us up? Which reminds me, and just to piss everyone off I guess, but does anyone really see this intensity in Wiseman earlier than 5 years out, if at all?! I mean there is the regular season and then there is the dogg fight that is the playoffs. Who really sees this in Wiseman? I don't. And that is disturbing, because the brain-trust that used a rare second pick chose a man/child who they think can play in this realm. I dont see this fight in him. And this isnt even my job. I hope I am wrong. Anyway, LETS GO!

athleticalchemy

were you asking about that on twitter? saw that late... My question would be how do you regulate it?

Anonymous

My boy Alc says on Hezi he's dropping the breakdown early and proceeded to drop it the latest time ever lol

Anonymous

I’m so happy with these boys, they made the whole warrior nation proud. That third quarter was a ref job

athleticalchemy

He didn't play bad.. but he didn't play as well as his numbers suggested. But yeah watching it again the 3rd blitzer was crazy after he beat the initial traps

athleticalchemy

Maybe its just the crazy expectations we have for his greatness.. but Im glad you see it that way too so it doesn't seem like im just trying to throw shade. JP might be lowkey crazy.. in a good way

Jansen E

I also had no idea what Kerr was thinking. It made me absolutely livid that we had 10 seconds and he lets 8 of them run off before calling a time out. This whole "have a timeout remaining" bullshit needs to stop with Kerr. Does he get a bonus if he ends games with timeouts remaining? Genuine question. Because once Steph DIDNT push, there shouldve been a timeout immediately. Fucking terrible coaching.

Nathan Glanzer

Yeah expecting a blowout this was nice. Shows that our team next year fully healthy will be a contender. Our bench will be the best bench in the league because of all their experience.

Anonymous

incredible showing. i fully expected us to get clapped. i won't front. so im not gonna get salty as shit for losing. that game was as hype as the sports world wanted. but...time to destroy them memphis boys, lets fuckin go.

Anonymous

The warriors vs lakers game was a big success, average 5.5 million viewers which is crazy

Anonymous

I think this memphis game is gonna get real hairy. If they lose what are the odds every headline is "steph's legacy invalidated." Lol... All I had to see was Juan T and JP when the lights get bright, and damnit I'm convinced this team is a healthy Squidward's House away from contention.

Nathan Glanzer

I said it to my boys at halftime. They will start calling more fouls and it will all be towards the Lakers. Lakers had what 11 FTs before Warriors had one? Pathetic.

Russ

Dray played like a legend on D last night, but he as usual was tossing turnovers all over the yard. Couldn't afford all of those, Steph had a couple too but he's being swarmed and passing to non threats, when Dray tosses it into the abyss it's an unforced turnover. Killed us last night, we had that one, damn.. It especially hurts to get beat by Caruso.

athleticalchemy

I said early afternoon not early.. shit was damn near 16 min.. trust I’m never F-ing off my time

Anonymous

I expect a great game from Curry against Memphis. I think it benefits him that they played them recently. It usually takes Curry a half to figure out the defense and counter effectively, but he knows what to expect now. Doubt the Grizz will change their scheme since they did a 'pretty good' job guarding him when Brooks was on the court.

Anonymous

c'mon man, you can't be disrespecting Caruso like that every time man.😂😂😂. all NBA defender tho. no cap

Russ

I'd love to trade Wiseman for Jonus V. right now, but I don't think Memphis would do it. And Jonus is not much on D and doesn't block shots but it's still a reach to get a flawed center for Wiseman, no one is going to give us much for him now after what he's shown, he hates contact, is too weak for the NBA, has no fight, and doesn't want to do anything but shoot and play the wing position.

Ezra Abbey

rough loss but like you said andrew wiggins is a changed player man, dude was hooping yesterday and showed a competitive and aggressive side hes rarely flashed. really dope to see how far a long he's come

Anonymous

i went to watch bballbreackdown's video after this and literally had to shut it off after one minute cause it was freacking painful man. Thank you for putting out some great content.

Anonymous

Unc crazy for thinking Steph had a bad game lol

Anonymous

I know its tough to blame it on the refs and i dont, we had every chance, but its just so obvious how the Lakers can manipulate the refs over the course of the game. They damn near gang banged them in every timeout, Bron doesnt even go into the huddle he just explains every missed call to them with his "master mind" remembering every play, thats just another aspect of being the defending champs. And Overall, we played great, i just dont know how they come out against memphis, its not house money anymore, i think we can all agree that not making the playoffs, after how they looked the last month, would be very very disappointing

Anonymous

#positive, next season looking mighty fine. If we get beat Grizzles we will give Utah a shake

Anonymous

The growth is the most important accomplishment this year and by growth I mean players (Wigs, JTA, JP keepers all) and system (many players finding/solidifying their place in the Warriors system). This game was a microcosm of the growth the Warriors accomplished this year (remember that opening game and road trip)? It's like the 1969 book written by Joe Namath titled "I can't wait for tomorrow cause I get better looking every day" no lie his true book title. Next year is gonna be fucking fantastic with Klay back.

Russ

Agree on Wiggins, he's really shown up, keep wondering how good he will be as the 3rd option next year if Klay can get back.

athleticalchemy

yeah... I know I hold him to unrealistic standards at times, bad is not the right word. Just not as good as the numbers suggest

Anonymous

Can’t wait until Klay comes back and we LA again next season!

Anonymous

Steph played about as well as I expected, was the best player on the floor and made about 2-3 TOVs too many. The mental fatigue might hit everyone after this game. Hopefully they realize that they are better than Memphis and handle business bc JTA, Poole, and Wiggins have shown they can go to war with Steph and Dray in a playoff series.

everest999

Might be the best loss I’ve ever seen. We had no business being in this game and they only won because of bs calls and lebrons lucky heave. And we could have done a lot of things in a better way too. It hurt in the moment, but overall I’m more than happy with our performance.

Jimmy Ji

The Warriors have been playing an 8-man rotation ever since Oubre went down and Lee caught the Covid. I understand our young guys are getting important minutes but this brand of basketball, especially in the playoffs, is unsustainable. I didn't like the officiating either but it wasn't as bad as game 6 of the '01-'02 western finals between the Kings and the Lakers. Lebron has essentially beaten GS with a game winner in every uniform he's worn ('09 over Turiaf w/ Cavs and '14 over Iggy w/ Heat) but this one probably hurts the most considering the moment and what was at stake. Watching the 2nd half of this game made me realize how much we miss Klay on this offense. There is no way teams can send the kitchen sink at Steph when Klay is on the floor because Klay knows how to play off-ball when Steph is on-ball.

Anonymous

I wonder if Lebron is still squinting his eyes at home around his kids, like "Yeah yeah i nearly lost my eye there" or if he stopped right after the cameras were off

Connor H

I felt like a proud dad watching that first half lol it was the weirdest shit ever. We always come out so flat to start games, especially the important ones. Was dope af to see them come out locked in and ready to fight

David A.

I don't really have much to add. All your content helps me get through the workday and I appreciate it. I will say that.

Anonymous

How can we ever succeed when Kerr won't call time outs in crucial situations? What a FUCKING ASSHOLE. Can he really be that utterly STUPID? Shit This is on Kerr, all the way. As all our tight losses probably are. Truth is he has nothing to offer. He's afraid to really coach in clutch situations. DUMP KERR NOW.

Anonymous

The leg twitch had me, too. Holy shit, man. What acting.

Anonymous

I wanted that game more than any other sports game I've ever watched, but that Suns team is a well oiled machine...Utah is beatable...gotta lay Memphis to bed quiet and easy and get armed up from that rowdy racist home crowd.

Anonymous

Those ending comments were nice Alch, def the best way to look at this game and move forward. Hope the Dubs somehow hear this or some message like it lol

athleticalchemy

Let’s not get carried away. But yeah I don’t like the let’s see what we can get end of game philosophy. Unless it’s a true breakaway advantage. My question is have you ever seen a player use a timeout under Kerr!?

John Pettus

Warriors Have it All Roster, next year Steph Klay Draymond Wiggs Oubre Poole JTA Loon Wiseman Jessup Last 2 spots from: - DLee? - First rounder - Minny First

Anonymous

Just looked at the 2 min report. The league is saying it was the correct call on the Dray moving screen with 2 min left. " Green (GSW) establishes himself in a wide picking stance and extends his knee into Matthews? (LAL) path." Wit the question mark and everything as well, goofy.

John Pettus

JP handles whenever Steph isn't in there. JTA takes over as mini-Draymond whenever Dray isn't in there. We should be able to always have 2 of Klay, Wiggs and Oubre out there to defend, which is beastly.

Anonymous

Maybe I had unrealistic expectations but I thought we’d win this game. I knew Wigs would be up for the Lebron challenge. Steph showed up big in a big game. Had some god awful bad turnovers but I thought our defense and shooting would prevail. The nba wasn’t about to allow la to have to play Memphis. Guys stepped up and hit big shots. I think we should’ve gave wigs more touches. The refs were inconsistent and more reasonable with LA complaining than GS. With all that being said I think I’m more comfortable playing Utah than Phoenix. Granted we have to take care of business tomorrow night. With the way the season started, I think they’re playing their best ball at the right time. Defense travels and they’ll be a tough out. We Believe 2.0!

Anonymous

Dudley literally on the court on that corner 3 from Poole. This game was fucked up man.

Anonymous

The refs at it again. Only reason we lost, simple as that.

Paul Hanson

I feel that the Dubs played the best they can possibly play-and the national weird ass narrative of Stephen Curry not being able to carry a team is pretty much gone except for Max Kellerman and a few idiots who don't know the game of basketball. To me the Dubs lost it in the beginning of the 2nd half when they were passive, turnover-happy and fouling. They had to play a near perfect game. I just HOPE they have enough for Friday's visit from Valiancunias and Ja with Memphis. Oh-and DIllon Brooks is going to be hot. Gotta do better on getting Steph some space to work. Overall I feel much better about this team going into next year than I did at the beginning of the season when it felt like a team from 24 HR fitness trying to learn to play together. If this is the style that works-then this is how they play and let's keep this main identity. I don't know if James Wiseman can be nimble enough to run around, set screens and get into the dunker's spot in every set-but he won't play till it's nearly training camp. Still-feel a LOT better about the future of this team. It will be a huge offseason for Joey Light-Years, his wallet and Bob Meyers. Steph is a Bay Area institution-get him the help he needs to get another chip. If he goes-you'll never ever find another Stephen Curry.

Natto Santo

First of all, Warriors are not expected to win this game, and the fact tat we get it this close is already overachieved. However, there is one thing that Curry got to change: his turnovers in playoffs. Half of them are uncalled for. He is the leader of Dubs. If the leader is not taking every possessions seriously, the other teammates will be sloppy too. Look at Green, he could have saved some of his TOs, if he take it more seriously on passing. But after watching all these years, this kind of sloppiness or playfulness in a serious game is coming from Steph. He should understand this behavior is a disrespect to coaches and his fans. I think this is the last thing he needs to grow up. Look at LBJ as a leader, as much as I hate him, he is playful in normal games, but when he is in playoff kill mode, there is no room for sloppiness or playfulness, everything is done professionally. It brings out the professional attitude on every player one the team. At the end of the day, maybe that is the difference between Steph and LBJ. Maybe Curry is not wired to be a leader, he just wants to be a kid on the floor.

Anonymous

I ain't even mad about the refs, I knew that it would be nearly impossible to actually win because its always going to be vs bron and the refs. However I wanted to see fight and curry to be the superstar that he is and boy oh boy am I happy, this team is a bunch of dawgs, and that defense we were playing was awesome to watch

Anonymous

Thank you Alch, I needed some of those laughs you always seem to throw in. Many silver linings and hopefully we blow Memphis out of our building. Go dubs!

Anonymous

The turnovers ultimately didn't matter and arguably some of them were caused by uncalled fouling. The game was essentially over until the refs decided to take numerous possessions away from us, we completely outplayed the Lakers nearly the entire game but there's nothing we can do if we lose possessions on their arbitrary (or perhaps deliberate) officiating.

Anonymous

all in all i definitely didn't expect them to win and that's the best dubs game i have seen in damn near two years.

Anonymous

If we get over Memphis, I’m taking this warriors over the jazz, even with mitchell

Anonymous

I'm glad we put up a fight. It could have gone eitherway but it's nice to see the young players do well in this scenario. Thanks for the content, I'm excited even after this loss, good shit man.

Anonymous

Anybody seen any updates on Oubre?

AK

100% agreed. I mean sometimes they can be bad both ways but damn there was some shady stuff going on for sure.

AK

Alch, I can appreciate your elite competitor comment about LeBron but man.. the over the top dramatics and histrionics just sends me over the edge. Very unnecessary

Anonymous

Alchemy, your video and commentary really made my day! Although we lost but I was so looking forward to watching your breakdown and your commentary is SO funny and real, it is the BEST! That joke about Bron on the eye patch just made me fall off my chair!

Anonymous

I feel you. I def did not expect to win this game. Even tho the Lakers aren’t 100% on a couple levels, clearly we ready to play and compete against elite talent. Excited to see them come out with that same 1st half intensity in go extendo garbage time. If we get past the Griz, I’m def excited to see this team get the experience of a playoff run. We’ll see!

Ken Bradford

It wasn’t even a good shot for lebron it was just a lucky three so I’m not that salty great effort by the dubs

Anonymous

Seemed like a missed a hell of a game. Questionable reffing is nothing new and to be fair despite Lebron's antics and drama by the standards the league have set themselves that was probably a flagrant on Draymond but the League and by extension the Refs knew how important the game was from ratings stand point so they didn't eject Dray when they could have. The turnovers have been a pretty consistent issue for the Dubs for years going way back to the start of the dynasty. Given the style of play and how much Steph and Dray are relied upon and expected to handle and make decisions it remains dangerous but likely nothing will change it. Glad to see some of the young guns not shying away from the moment, but this result should reinforce how important making the right moves this off season will be and not settling if they really want to take advantage of Steph while they still can. The game against Memphis will be really telling.

Anonymous

I like to take Lebron’s acting/flopping as an acknowledgement that he didn’t think he could win. It’s like “alright, y’all beat me, imma have to cheat now because narrative.”

Anonymous

He should be suspended. Would not change a thing though haha.

Anonymous

The same way he came out with a cast after the 2018 finals claiming his hand was broken. Also begged the league to upgrade Draymond's technical to a flagrant to get him suspended while getting away with hitting Curry and Iguodala in the groin multiple times. Dude is a certified lil bitch.

Jerry Heverly

How much more interesting and balanced would the NBA have been in the 60's if Bill Russell had not existed. (Even when he was a coach!) Tons of good players never got to sniff a title because of him. Now we have the Lebron Era; similar vibe. You want a chance at the ring, find a way to remove Lebron from the equation, otherwise he will throw up a prayer and send you to Hades.

Anonymous

I thought Green getting that illegal screen call was a make up call for not being tossed on a flagrant (since he had a tech early), but I did think the touch fouls in the 3rd was our bad, as much as we can blame the refs for being inconsistent (letting them play in the first half and then calling touch fouls in the second) we should've done better. Really really stoked about Draymond's defense for sure; if he kepted that sharpness up even 50% of the season he could've been DPOY. Unfortunately on the other end of the floor he had nothing for us. As for the last play of the game, us trying to inbound to Steph, I think that can't be our last play. Teams literally hold / mug / armbar Steph offball on regular plays and get away with it and don't get called assessed fouls, they're of course going to do it worse on the literal last play. I see 3 solutions: 1. Steph flops on inbound plays early in the game, and do that a few times 2. As you said, stop short and "shoot" to back them off 3. Get Steph to inbound and do 2

Anonymous

I've done my Tarot Cards 3 times and they all say Grizzlies Win tonight. My own gut agrees, because Steph and Dray can only carry this otherwise mediocre team so far, and they're drained from the Lakers. And because the Griz are hungrier, and Brooks really shut down Steph in the last game. Hope I'm wrong... O, one other reason, how could I forget? Because the Dubs have a shit coach. He'll always manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Anonymous

Have u seen giannis's comments. I feel like he lost his fire (whatever fire he had left). He got his mvps and his max deal. Now i dont think he really cares about the end results.
