The pace of that Warriors game in the first half was like being secured to the ground under a clothes line full of dripping wet laundry on a cloudy day while the water drips off your forehead. It was torture. That half made me suspect that the players were attempting not to sweat so they wouldn't have to shower after the game. Even worse, I thought, was it a loyalty test and that the team was conspiring to make me turn the game off. Then in the third quarter Mr. Curry appeared and said "yea, we was just fucking with ya" ......and thus I was freed from my torture. And yes Wigs just quietly plays and plays every game.

are we the worst team in the league without steph? just a thought that crossed my mind in the first half lol

loved the "we might not be around for a long time, but maybe it'll be a good time"

What a Draymond-esque performance from JTA : 6 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, 5 BLK, 4 STL (+10)

Alc every time on every platform that you’re listing a stat line you’re always one off the actual stat I always notice lol Steph was 2 for 10 not 11 but are you doing that on purpose? 😂

"That half made me suspect that the players were attempting not to sweat so they wouldn't have to shower after the game" lol brilliant

Wasn't this a Mulder special to be honest? Enough 3s in early on but he can only hit them in the 4th quarter when it's a blowout. I think Alc has called that out before and everytime I watch Mulder, I feel he just doesn't bring it when we need it most.

“Look at those arms. Perfect for the marvel game coming up. We’ve got a new black panther in steph curry... or a captain America.” -mark Jones🤣

Alch to answer your question, I would trade for Wood. He would thrive in our offense and make us Hella potent.

Anonymous

Yo what’s the discord fam

Anonymous

Would trade for Wood in less than a heartbeat I'm just not sure there is anything realistic that we can offer that would be enough. He's one of the most sought after young players in the league and The Rockets know that, they have no reason to give him up for anything less than the kitchen sink. Never say never I suppose since they ended up giving Harden away for less than you might have thought. Didn't really seriously watch this game as apart from Steph this team isn't particularly fun to watch and The Rockets are where they are for a reason.

My concern with Wiseman is durability. Good upper body, but it’s the lower half that destroys careers. A big needs some heft to really dominate, ala Embiid, Joker, etc. Wiseman has already lost his rookie season to a knee. Not a good omen. And the dub medical crew sucks. We’re just now finding out Oubre’s been playing with this sprain and fracture for weeks and weeks?

athleticalchemy

yeah kinda I was just pointing out in the second when it could have gotten real ugly he hit 2 big ones

athleticalchemy

IDK Wiseman a 1st and some change.. I think they'd have to listen considering how early they are in the rebuild.

KPJ is obviously a lethal score with a huge bag. My hold out on him would the question of, would he good on a GOOD team? Like dont get me wrong, if you can score like he can, then yeah he can put up points. But he's been playing on a team with a "whatever, fuck it" attitude and has a green light thats so green, it might as well be turned off. There is no light. Its just an unmediated intersection with no speed limit. If he is put in a system, and has other guys (or stars) around him, would he be able to be the #1 or #2 option on a competing team? My answer is not really. Might as well be what Bradley Beal has been for the Wizards. All the numbers, but nothing to show for it. Doesnt play defense (but hes young so he could learn) and like you mentioned, the shot selection he takes could easily lead to a downfall in a playoff series. Anyway, thats just my two cents. Lethal scorer, but Idk if he could be anything more than that. On to the Warriors. After that Wolves game, I felt just like you did. Ready for scorched earth. And tbh, Im still kinda mad if I forget the 3rd quarter even happened. Right after losing a game that really mattered more than just THIS season, youre gonna come out against the worst team in the league like you dont give a fuck????? And Kerr telling the defense to double team some no-name dude on the block away from the ONLY real threat on their team???? Like what the fuck was I watching. Don't get me wrong, I liked that 3rd quarter. Always fun to watch Steph go off. I want to know what was said in that locker room. But take that 3rd quarter away and you still have a pretty glaring problem with the rest of the game. The Rockets entered their "fuck it" attitude and just starting chucking shots cuz they dont care about winning, so I take it all with a grain of salt. The thing that annoys me most is this, does this team want to make the playoffs or not? like I dont get it. If you dont watch that 3rd quarter, and you only watch 1st,2nd,4th, Id say no, they dont want to make the playoffs. But you see how close they are and the fact they are still playing Steph, but then you realize Oubre might be done for the season. Lee is still in COVID protocol but nothing really changes when he gets back. And then Paschall. Im sorry to say that Im over him. He might be able to be a decent piece on another team. But for this Warriors team, his limited ability to make plays or score if his midrange spots are taken away, makes him a liability. I think they need to move on from him after this season. Fill out the bench with more vets and more dynamic players.

To your point about the overhelping on defense, what if it’s just the coaching staff trying to keep draymond engaged? Because it seems like every time it’s draymond coming from the perimeter to provide help when he really shouldn’t, or yelling at one of the other guys to double and it’s too late. We know he and Kerr have always had a rocky relationship, and we know how he feels about this season. Maybe Steve just wants to let dray do what he does to keep him there mentally.

I swear soon as steph gets to cooking, the entire lineup starts playing tougher defense

The Nets are winning back to back, the sensible thing is to focus on developing Wiseman and the 2 high first round picks for the 21/22 season, then Steph can start his 2nd championship phase at the age of 34 like Jordan. We already made the finals 5 times in a row, no need to be greedy, just respect the cycle and be patient with the rebuild.

Russ

I'd do the trade. But I don't think the Rockets would without us adding. Dray stop chucking the ball around hunting for assist stats. It's funny to c a guy who is stat hunting this much but can't score. He just has too many stupid chucks into the stands or to the other team, or trying to force passes to guys that r heading into triple teams. Fuck if he was a QB half our team would be in the hospital from Safeties and Linebackers taking the receivers heads off. He doesn't really think about where he's passing just making sure he gets an assist on the stat sheet. I must admit his D is still on another level, I'll always give him that. Just dial back the chucks 20%. Use some discretion, I think he isn't hard enough on himself when he makes turnovers, which we agree also include his jump shots. It's like because he knows he's the biggest bitch and calls everyone out for small mistakes no one will dare get on him for all of his bonehead turnovers.

I'm neutral on the wood Wiseman trade, which probably mean I keep Wiseman. I don't think wood moves the needle enough and hopefully something better out there but that contract is sweet!

Anonymous

Love the Wiseman for Wood trade. If we're lucky we can even avoid throwing in a first rounder. Its clear that the Dubs thrive on smart players with sound fundamentals more than utilizing freak athleticism.

Jerry Heverly

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The understandable tendency is to view Wiseman as a typical young NBA player but he isn't! He's barely 20 and only recently was playing high school ball. You gotta project, project, project. What does he look like at age 23? 26? Christian Wood will be a distant memory by then, while Wiseman will be one of the best big men in the league. I wouldn't do that deal if they threw in the Toyota Center. The key to this game wasn't Steph, it was JTA's defense. That was a 24-0 run there fueled by defense. Steph is, of course, the best one to take advantage when they clamp down like that, but the key was the defense.

Anonymous

Did yall hear that girl who kept screaming in the front row? had to turn down the audio at times.. Lol, i know some of the players wanted to tell her to pipe down

Anonymous

It's great to talk about Wiseman's potential and bright future but that means realistically pivoting from Steph, Klay and Dray at some point to a team built around the likes of JW. The problem with that is it's pretty clear that they are still trying to get as much out of Curry as possible. Not to mention JW's health and durability concerns nor the mismatch between the coaching staff and Wiseman's skill set and position. If fans really want to see the very best version of Wiseman that can exist then he can't be in a Warrrior's uniform.

Julian

That trade deal makes sense, I'd do if I'm Bob. He does need to do something and pull something out of his ass this summer, because he can't let a ring run go to waste with an ATG player. As for the asswipe comment, I've fucking done. That's some funny shit.
