This game took on a new level of disappointment when Boban blew his Mortal Kombat audition by not applying the finishing move on Jordan Poole.....that's too bad it ruined the experience for me................................AND Watch for the new Sasha Baron Cohen movie coming this fall, Boban in America:Gulliver's Travels........AND Jordan Poole for Boban straight up trade both teams win. (note: the views and opinions expressed here have been ranked for seriousness but it's up to the reader to determine if the seriousness is expressed in ascending or descending order).

my biggest question is wigs in the playoffs. only way we're really gonna know what hes made of

Anonymous

Honestly, if we're gonna drop another game or two out of the last ten I'm hoping one will be against the T-Wolves, as it will help towards getting the protected draft pick from them. In fact, they should rest Curry that game - a "mini tank", if you will. Lol

So doncic is on fire....why kerr doesn’t let him cook and focus on the others guys...let him get 50 with 3 assists....that’s something that bothered me...i think wiggins has the wrong game to game mentality....he’s needed more than he thinks...or more than they let him think...one of the two...that’s why a guy like baze is needed...oubre iq too low to shake up our offense when it gets tough...a big reason why we need hoopers in this team...

Anonymous

Kerr stated post game that “I didn’t get the team prepared 😒” that’s your MAIN job. And as for the players, embarrassing. I’d pay every fan back that bought a ticket & went to see this rated TVMA showing. Steph shot great BUT I seemed like he wasn’t nearly aggressive enough. Like super passive. Not to score in over 8 minutes with the lead scorer in the league on the floor is inexcusable. Kerr got a Tech for bitching at a double dribble or something in the third quarter?! How about you get ejected in the first quarter for breaking your play board on one of your players heads. This game could have got us the edge to finish out of the play in game. Got Steph a MVP. Got us respect. It’s scary that we don’t know what to expect from this team game to game and that will rear it’s ugly head in the post season too. Anyways hope everyone reading this is safe and thanks again Alchemy for the breakdown brother.

This was it man, this was THE game and they came out and just looked slow and clearly not prepared to play

Continuing your topic of the softest players, is Wiggins one of, if not the softest offensive forward right now, I mean he does bully smaller people in the post but mindset wise, he could be. First opportunity he checks out and becomes an observer. Then maybe for other soft ass players, u could name Trae defensively, yeah he has a bad frame but he don't care either I don't know if that counts. Alex len comes to mind, obviously D Jones, and Gobert is also secretly a big whiner. And HB will always be soft in my eyes for how he shit the bed in 2016 Then u question guys like Lavine and Kanter, and why their abilities are nowhere to be found defensively, but again that doesn't make them particularly "soft".

Alc, you said it: It's the SYSTEM, not the personnel. Can't blame personnel for being mediocre. And Let's Get Real. This loss was not just about the Dubs "Not being ready." That's BS. This is about the Dubs Not Being Good Enough. Alc, you said this game really didn't matter "in the big picture." But the Play-in tournament is NOT the big Picture. Only a Chip is. And that big picture is not only impossible this year, but Next Year as well. Because even with Klay back, this team is not nearly good enough to compete against the elite super teams in the league. You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. No point thinking about chips with the current lineup at all. So when is management going to wake up? No point trying to be a fan of this constant chaos, indecision and flat out bad decisions. A true sign of real change would be firing Kerr and Myers, the Dumb and Dumber of Lightyears Ahead.

Anonymous

Great teams will take nights off but you know they got another few gears. But that aint us right now. Unfortunately this was us downshifting one gear. But we dont have too much above this either. And trust me, just cause Wiseman and Baz out aint THAT important. Maybe a blessing as far as Wiseman concerned. Where does the fault lie? I still go with management. That should be a dead horse by now, but management is still the golden child in the public media. Its going to take some time for management to retool. By then most of us are going to be wearing Depends. If Curry decided to bolt I wouldnt hold it against him. I mean I feel like hungover while watching these games, imagine being him putting the team on his back and trying to keep them afloat? This shit just aint fun to watch half the time, more like stress than anything else.

Anonymous

I miss watching wiseman 😔looking like he’s finally putting it together and he goes down. Now we have to deal with a whole summer of warriors Reddit/Twitter and nerds like Nate Duncan clowning him. I still think he’s gonna be great. There’s more to basketball than analytics and iMpAcT sTaTs.

Anonymous

annnnd i just read that they haven't even practiced for a WEEK. i guess now we know why they looked so out of sync. Maybe Kerr did it on purpose to keep our pick?

Anonymous

that Tim Hardaway comment tho 😱

Jimmy Ji

Wiggins is not a max player and Draymond is no longer worth his salary cap slot. We are better off trading either one for 2-3 $10mil/year role players/specialists. The Warriors simply do not have enough salary cap depth with this current roster construct and the blame needs to be put on Bob Myers. This team is way too top-heavy and becomes a problem when one of the star players miss significant time. It also doesn't utilize Steph's greatest offensive skill; his gravity. How many wide open 3s does Wiggins need to miss before he realizes he should work on that outside shot? Its ridiculous.

Anonymous

Kerr getting that technical was lowkey him getting draymond

Anonymous

Trust me i don't get it man fucking up steph best years.. Stupid management decisions bro!

Anonymous

All I care about now is getting some playoff experience for anyone sticking around next season and for Joey Pockets and Bob to got work this summer!!

Jansen E

Lol im surprised this game STILL hasnt been a wakeup call to Warriors fan. Why does everyone still want to make a play-in game? This is whats gonna happen in the first round of the playoffs anyway. This team does NOT have what it takes to compete in the playoffs. Theres just no reason to keep pushing for the play-in game especially with the amount of injuries we've suffered (as well as the rest of the league). Why is it always the Mavs? I feel like we lose by 30+ every time we play them.

Anonymous

That was one tired ass team. Green, Looney & JTA holding down 96 minutes a night for most of April at PF and C, Curry unloading his clips all month like he's in the Matrix, now missing your 2 biggest energy guys in Lee & Baze (no disrespect to JTA, but I think he is still looking for pieces of his brain on the court). No need to make any reads out of this game. Playing short-handed finally caught up to them. Just remember, it's all a bad dream. Click your heels 3 times and say there is no place like home. Klay Thompson will return and with him buckets. Lots and lots of buckets.

Anonymous

IF they secure that #10 spot. Only 3 games ahead of the Pelicans in losses and we play them 3 times. Their schedule isn't looking too bad either. Whether we get in the play-in could really depend on that 3 game series... How sad would it be if we didn't even get to #10.

Anonymous

every time you say your excited about a game this happens.😂

Paul Hanson

The team is doing about as well as it truly can-given the COVID situation and the injuries to Klay and Marquese Chriss-a center who could REALLY have helped early on to take some of the pressure off of Wiseman and Looney. When you look at this season realistically-they're doing the best they can with a 3-legged horse. Klay out on draft night. Marquese Chriss out after the 2nd game of the season. Steph makes what-$43 million? Sure he's worth it. Klay makes what-$35 million? He's out for the 2nd year in a row. No games at all. That's $78 million on one awesome player-not 2. Draymond? He makes $22 million-that's now up to $99 million just for Steph and Draymond since Klay is out. The salary cap is what-$108 million? Ohhh yea...Wiggins-he makes $29 million. So-that's Wiggins, Steph and Draymond-limited Draymond-all for $128 million. Don't even have a center yet. Kevon Looney is doing all he can with his great skill and limited size and athletic ability- a good deal at $4.4 million. There's a talent deficit on this team-don't get me wrong, I love JTA for what he brings-and Oubre adds a lot of tenacity on defense in theory as well as iso offense. Mulder, D Lee, Bazemore-the Dubs rely on the minimum guys way more than any team should expect to have to. Sometimes you can't rely on scrappiness -sometimes the talent level really shows when hustle and effort can't be there. Developing Wiseman-it's been almost counterproductive as they went on this latest run after he went down for the season. The small-ball stuff works for this team due to Draymond's IQ, Steph's abilities and not having to integrate a very green talented rookie into a ball movement philosophy he barely can recognize. What was strange about that; all we heard about Wiseman was how much guard skills he studied with Penny Hardaway and it turns out he doesn't have the girth (after working out in Miami all last year) to hang in the paint. So the fact that they Maybe Jordan Poole is talented-he had a streak there where he came back, played well, shot the ball well, slumped-then came back again. I hope he does finally figure it out because there's not much difference between him and a G leaguer at the moment in terms of play and effectiveness.

athleticalchemy

I must confess I forgot they had them 3x.. but even if its with 2 gm left that could still mean a good 5 -6 days off

athleticalchemy

yeah its hard to call this team out for effort at this point in the year .. I feel like they have tried to bring it every night. Again Id like Kerr to switch up the pregame for these bigger games

athleticalchemy

When it gets ugly and the system isn’t working we only really have 2 shot creators and 1 is 21. I like how you put it with wigs

athleticalchemy

Wigs got a be there.. and yeah Trae is unacceptable defensively in my eyes he is pathetic. Under Nate he at least pretending

athleticalchemy

I hear what your saying big picture, but we knew that! This game didn’t all of sudden let me know “oh we don’t have enough” we need more talent. Become a contender and go from there. Can’t be chip or bust all the time

athleticalchemy

Looking at Steph still in middle of his prime at 33, they might just push all the chips in this summer. It seems at least more likely considering his season

athleticalchemy

No we need more talent for sure. Wiseman will take a huge leap strength wise in the next 18 months.. the thing with JP I never know if a shot is good when he lets it go. Watching players enough I can almost always tell on the release

Anonymous

On JP, let's not forget this is only his second year, and it's a crap year with no continuity, Wiseman a baby, both Oubre & Wiggins seeing the Curry system for the first time, covid and injuries. I just rely on 2 things: he shows potential and he works his ass off trying to get better. If he never amounts to anything, it won't be for a lack of trying. He's a pro

Anonymous

Is it too harsh of me to say that a game like this seems more indicative of where this team truly is than some of the flashy or gritty wins they have had? I don't give them any also for Covid and the lack of a proper training camp this season. Literally every other team had also faced those same issues. Some have dealt worth far more serious and extended player absences due to covid. Fair call about Smiley Alc we will never know what could have been sadly. Part of my frustration all season long is that it's obvious there is no clear overall plan. They weren't dead set on developing 2 or 3 likely prospects come hell or high water. Neither did they say fuck it let's go all in Klay or not and make the really aggressive moves that maybe would have had them make more noise in a playoff push. Tank to try and salvage the mini pick of your can of my suggestion. I don't have any faith in this team coming up strong in any pressure situation constructed and coached as they are at the moment. (that is not calling for Kerr to be fired, but I see what I see, the system and the roster don't match).

athleticalchemy

It’s always somewhere in between.. I think the riding the fence is because of Steph.. he is so special they felt obligated to try and do both

Anonymous

Re the double dribble, I heard it explained that possession doesn't count until both hands secure the ball. So it was a deflection then double to get it under control, then fake the pass and start his dribble proper before the pass to the corner.

Anonymous

Agreed that the tank or not to tank question has been straddled by the presence of the wish upon a superstar dynamic. Painfully difficult to see them making much of a run in the postseason. Whenever it looks like the team is about to turn a corner into top tier legitimacy they put on a stinker like last night against the Mavs. Steph will stay motivated to compete for a scoring title and more power to him because regardless of the teams play he is a joy to watch perform. I've spewed enough Wiggins hate in these comments but bottom line he is just mentally weak, and unless he sees a sports shrink or a hypnotist the book on him will be that he folds under pressure.

Anonymous

They should package Wiseman (who will still be too raw to really help the team next season) with a first round pick and a Wiggins salary dump for a player or two who will help them win next next year. It will be interesting to see if Steph holds out on the extension to see what happens., I wouldn't be surprised.

athleticalchemy

I hope he has is eating crow in a few weeks, even if it’s just a few games... but yeah it appears like he wants no part of the big stage. To be fair he’s never really seen it

Anonymous

He's sometimes called the babyface assassin for his on court play. Something tells me off the court though that isn't him. Despite having the leverage to push Joe and Bob to do more I don't think he will. I honestly don't think he is that motivated to win more titles, in the way LeBron had had that ruthless weekdays out takes attitude for years when it comes to team mates coaches etc.

Anonymous

Something isn't right and needs to change. There's no way a team with a 2x MVP and a 2nd option making $20 million+ should be getting blown out this badly and on multiple occasions. Obviously, you don't fire Kerr, but Myers and Lacob need to sit down and really evaluate this roster in the offseason. I don't think you can rely on a 32-year-old Klay and unproven talent in JW and your draft picks to get you to the finals. We need vets.

Anonymous

You keep thinking like that, one day you're gonna wake up old. Even the average years are good years, looking back.

Anonymous

There was a possession early in the 1st with Dray and Loons out of the perimeter, wide open, butt naked. It ended up a turnover after neither wanted the shot. That front court is joke offensively. Really hoping the front office is considering big changes with the coaching staff.

Bailey

Alc - that whole Boban thing looool They knew the Mavs were all fired up and seemed like they had circled this game as unwinnable anyway. Sort of same type of effort when they played the Nets. At this point I'm just mad at Myers and Lacob's dumb decisions. You mentioned in the last video about putting GP2 as a starter just to disrupt Luka's flow a bit. I would've liked to see it. Maybe could've worked.

Weed plate Wiggins is not it

here is a great discussion of why Steph will never get another ring staying in SF. And what a shame that will be for NBA and fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDrNB6oa3sw

Alch your Gummo reference on the Hezi got me good, i haven't called someone a Gummo character since early 2000s. A bit of humor to lighten my mood after the calamity that was the Dallas game

Anonymous

Haha Alch please don't ever say you are excited for a game again, I swear something like this happens every time you do lol Jk. As for my thoughts on the game I honestly just kind of laughed at the absurdity of it, I have a hard time really feeling like it means anything until it becomes a common thing. To me it just looked like a good wake up call, burn the tape sort of game. Also the Mavs have a weird habit of randomly doing this to teams for no apparent reason

When I saw our Dubs were up 42-55 at the half I knew they were gonna get punched in the mouth in the 3Q, and it happened. And that's what happens with an overall inexperienced squad. You go up so much that you don't even believe it and then take your foot off the gas. That's what they did. And yes, JTA shoulda played WAY MORE than Mulder. Then again there is the issue of spacing. JTA is not the shooter Mulder is. Lastly, Lakers ALMOST lost and they had pretty much everybody. We didn't. Oubre could've helped. I'd imagine if Oubre was out there instead of Mulder, subbing in and out for JTA. PS, when I watch Dubs games, they lose. When I don't, they win. God I'm so unlucky lmao
