Yes!!! Been waiting for this....

John Pettus

Another great one Alch. Thanks for the great work.

Anonymous

The dichotomy between Oubre and Wiggins is so interesting to me. They’re such different players, with everything from their play styles to personalities, but it seems to work well. With recent slides from Denver and Portland, a top 6 seed is looking real possible. Another great one Alch!

John Pettus

BTW - if anybody's on Twitter, another dope guy to follow is @JoeVirayNBA. He does annotated clips of specific actions the Dubs pulled off. I think from every game?! Between him and Alch, my bball IQ is going UP!

Ezra Abbey

I've tried imagining them having a conversation but it just doesn't make any sense in my mind. I'd be surprised if they ever really talk for more than a few minutes lol

Ezra Abbey

Squad looking real spooky all of a sudden, would not want to face us in the playoffs.

Anonymous

Man the moment I went on spotify to realize it's Saturday, no hezi 💔. I thought I was in the wrong box score, how was that 29 pts, did you go back to count it? cause I can't believe that.

Anonymous

Oubre is playing how I expected Wiggins to play. Took him less games as opposed to Wiggins who had a 12 game head start to get used to the system regardless of Curry and Green barely playing with him last season.

Christian Hollaway

I would like to chime in on your Kyrie comment. Does the other teams defense key on Kyrie the same way it does with Steph? To me, how a defense defends you tells me who is more scary to deal with. Nobody puts terror in an NBA defense the way Curry does. Anyway, nice time for the team to breakthrough with 3 wins in a row.

Gsw4L

It seems that Kelly is slowly becoming our second scoring option. Wiggs is just not THAT guy. I love maple jordan but he lacks mamba mentality. Dunno why but I see him as better version of HB. What's your take on bridge troll? I like his durability and defense but come playoff time this second unit won't be able to sustain any lead. We also need to trade Moulder and Smiley in order to get some veteran presence. Smiley is still very young but he will take another two or three years to develop into solid roll player. By the way, can we get Bjelica from Kings? He would thrive in our system. True he is not athletic but can rebound well and pass the ball. He's a good team player and can shoot three. PS. Stay away from KP !!!

Anonymous

I went ahead and started watching flightreacts "breakdown" right after this.. perfectly balanced like all things should be

Ken Bradford

It finally happened. Many believed it to be a legend passed on by the elderly. But we were witnesses, we were able to experience ......... a 3 game winning streak

Anonymous

Got to be honest, Wiseman's hands are really starting to be concerning. The drop pass from bridge troll was a point blank layup. I don't know how that can improve. May be his achilles heel. if he had good hands he would've easily had 20+ points.

Andres Lozano

If we do beat the lakers next we’ll be comfy in the 5th seed

Anonymous

Chill, especially on that play, he wanted the Lob and the pass was right to his head, I want to see u catch that pass, instant shaqtin

Anonymous

A couple days ago they had Seerat sohi (looked it up, didn't know her) from yahoo on the warriors huddle, and she was so keen on a possible KP trade, talkin bout the best shooting trio wit klay back, and playing him and wiseman, I was like damn them outlets have people talkin crazy. She really wanted to put Dray out there with two seven footers and 2 all time shooter, to her credit, that would be absolutely wild

Paul Hanson

What's your take on whether or not Bob and Joey Pockets can keep Kelly on the squad? His vitality, tenacity seems like it's always been there regardless of his shot or knowing where to be on the floor with the GSW system. Now he's comfortable in the system and he's playing great. Hard to believe 3 weeks ago people were all about trading him-but if he keeps it up there's an expensive decision to be made it would seem. 4 years 84 million? The tax on this team will be like half a billion dollars. Fire and Ice is totally right-both have their place.

Anonymous

The next 7-8 games will be the true test of what this team has in their heart. Will be fun to watch it unfold

Jerry Heverly

Poole and Mannion will make this a better team for the stretch run, but in the short run the Warriors will be lucky to get to 21-19........I'd like to see JTA take some of Wiggins and Oubre's minutes to rest them more.

Anonymous

They didn't give Wiseman the Block stat according to the stats, they said it was baze, but if u watch that play baze doesn't even touch the ball. I think that's the 5 or 6th block that the stats department has taken away from Wiseman

athleticalchemy

I like Bjelica I don’t think any of our young guys hold any trade value outside of maybe Pool and Nico.. EP of course

Thomas Ogas

Watching this game live, it was such a bold mix of high-level Basketball tactics and turnovers. I love the way both our squad, and the Hornets, generate good looks. Felt like this opponent really brought the best out of the Ws. With the development of Oubre, I feel like we're one Chriss away from being a contender. Still don't think they should go "all in" on that remote possibility. I'd rather see them have two #1 picks in a VERY deep draft next season, and then rely on Year 2 Wiseman in the 2022 playoffs. THAT team is a legit contender.

athleticalchemy

Yeah he has got a lot of fingertip blk or ones your not sure if he got a piece or they just over shot because of his length

athleticalchemy

I’m with you.. no need too. I think they are also very confident in their ability to develop internally

Anonymous

Wiggins and Curry are Ice, Oubre and Draymond are Fire. Good balance for our team chemistry.

Anonymous

I want to see at least one explosive game by Wiggins this season. It's just surprising he hasn't had a single 30 pt game this season and only a single game above 25. He can be a legitimate weapon in a PnR and would like to see more of it with the 2nd unit.

Anonymous

But he also didn't have a game with less than 12 pts yet, so I take that consistency over big scoring outputs, just be a two way threat and let the game come to you. But you right, with his past of being 23+ ppg he should have at least one

Anonymous

"Nobody wants Brad putting anything in their face" LMAO!!

Russ

I'll give Dray credit, that was a great game, a few of his patented turnovers, thats a given but otherwise that was a great game. Without Steph gravity and back screens he struggles to get 3 assists but with Steph causing mayhem at least Dray gets the easy ones that he's gifted. But really it's Steph if we are being honest. Until Wiseman starts catching passes and lobs at least a little bit, and I'm hoping this happens along with the rest of us, I'm calling him "Fingers" Wiseman. Because he catches the ball like he's only got 2 fingers per hand. Gut feeling, it doesn't improve much but Fingers is still going to be really good with the rest of his talents. Remember he's 19, not 6, if he can't catch a cold now.....

Anonymous

It did seem like steph didn’t want to be there, but then you saw him diving on the floor for loose balls and playing tenacious on-ball defense. Weird night. Way I see it, either he was too tired to hunt for his shots on offense or he feels like he’s got sum to prove on defense. Maybe both can be true but you get what I mean😂

Anonymous

Wannamaker was so bad I think even the coaching staff might take notice.

Anonymous

LaMello is a 6'-7" Ernie DiGregorio, same elite vision and passing, same draft position (3rd player selected), might be the ROY like Ernie, will certainly lead his team in assists tho Ernie led the league as a rookie and most of all a limited ability to defend. "Ernie D" became known as "Ernie No D" and last night Lamelo was "Lamelo Where's My Man Ball".....good to see we made the right choice.

Anonymous

Plot twist: KO becomes the second leading scorer on the team

Anonymous

For a brief period in the second half Damien Lee was absolutely everywhere. Wiggins looks tired, maybe load manage him a bit?

Anonymous

I think for draymond it’s a bit the COVID situation that bothered him in the start of the season...But generally i think he lost a step physically and needs to learn how to deal with it and humble himself....Cut some playmaking and focus on the defense...age gracefully into the backend of his prime....In the big games(against smart defenses) this season he looked gassed...he will try to do too much and get exposed because no one respect his shot...His ego is what will cost this process...he always say that he is almost where he wants to be(@game30) instead of accepting this stage of his carreer...

Anonymous

What's up with JTAs minutes falling off a cliff? I appreciate that with both Wiseman and Looney back that starting and playing heavy minutes wasn't going to happen but damn not even 5 minutes seems rough.

Anonymous

honestly- once this g league session ends. I want poole or mannion getting all of wannamakers minutes. the dude is trash

Anonymous

LOl his role on the team is not a guy who is gonna play in the regular rotation. hes a 6 6 210 lb guy trying to play the 4/5. He's limited to say the least..... and the fact that he got a guaranteed contract is a little bit questionable. If JTA wants a chance at staying in the league- he will accept any role he gets.... even if its 80% a practice body and a guy who can come in to keep the starter from picking up a cheap foul in the last 40 seconds of a half or something.

Anonymous

And how much of your critique applies to this 3 game win streak?

Anonymous

Who's saying he should be a continual 4 or 5 in the rotation that was out of sheer desperation and everyone knew it. I think he's played better than Wannamaker and Mulder for sure and I'd rather have his effort on both ends than Bazemore and his constant reach in fouls. Obviously he'll need to able able to shoot the 3 at a decent clip to see consistent minutes. He more than most on the team have picked up the correct rotations on defense and the like too. I did read up on it, the reasons given were Kerr sharing the minutes around and the expectation was that both he and Mulder would be back in the rotation sometime soon etc.

Anonymous

Hey alchemy, have you thought of doing an analysis on the g-league bubble players, and who we could potentially call up to join the warriors? Maybe you could compare Poole, mannion and Lin and see who could be better replacement for Wanamaker.

Anonymous

I’ve watched last season and this season with attention ...To see if we still had a window to a chip..he’s the reason we win these games but i can easily count 4 games we lost because he looked cooked by the 3rd (doing too much in off and def)...we need to be factual about what we’ve seen so far...even in the finals in ‘19 you could see some slippage in his game...it’s normal to age....but he needs to limit his game to be more effective...every greats does it...He needs to give up the ball more quickly...more of a screen setter than top of the key holds the ball dude...less in O more on D...and in the 4th give him all the play making he wants...he’ll look better...

Anonymous

I'm 100% on board with all your overall critiques and fears/hopes for the future, I'm just pointing to the fact that Draymond's actually being peak Draymond right now...so critiquing him after 3 solid games where he's doing what we'd want, just seems unnecessary. Like you said, he's won us these 3 games (and obviously contributed to many other wins) and lost us 4 more by your count this season but you're going in on *my* guy talking about "His ego is what will cost this process" and mixing in this stage in his career with him referencing conditioning post covid...that's where you lost me.

Anonymous

be real alch: the warriors should have drafted Lamelo over Wiseman, yes or no

Anonymous

My bad i tend to look ahead in the future...Im saying he doesn’t look like a guy who knows his body limitations sometimes...The covid situation can be the excuse to look gassed in the start of the season but not in situations to win games (4th quarter) and momentum game changer....the old draymond never lost you games before...He always found himself in the positives in the end of games even if it was a bad one....Losing athletic abilities can ruin the confidence of a guy like draymond who likes to play on a edge...i can see games now where he is clear cut the only reason we lose...that’s because his role is too big for this team sometimes...A guy whith his IQ should know when to stops asking for the ball when it’s not his day or form...that’s the EGO part...a pnr with pascall, wigs even oubre with curry at the end of games where dray does not look good should be the norm....it gives also spacing to curry...

athleticalchemy

I can’t say that yet.. Bigs always take longer... do you remember Steph’s rookie year where Tyreke Evans was ROY and declared a future HOFer by the media?

Anonymous

"i don't think anyone wants Brad put anything in their face" LOL

Anonymous

I think it's still too soon to access Wisman too, and even Lemolo. But the biggest difference, IMHO, is that Lemolo is getting minutes, and allowed to fail, grow, and most of all, they're building their system around him. Since he's a natural point guard, of course he'd fit better in a Dubs system as it stands now. That's my real point - Kerr is the problem. He needs to understand that you can't force a Big Peg into a small hole, and overhaul the Dubs offense to incorporate Wiseman.
