I think you do it. If Oubre was shooting 35% from three that would be a totally different story. But if they both suck at shooting, well then you're left with deciding between an excellent passer with a high iq who is a very good defender versus another great defender who can be overzealous at times and has no iq. Ive seen people say "dont trade Oubre he's coming around on offense"....the fuck are yall watching? what just cuz he made some shots last game against Minny he's coming around? Above all else, it's clear that you need a baseline level of iq in the Warrior's scheme. Oubre does not reach that baseline whereas Lonzo exceeds it. Consider a playoff scenario. Do you relly want Oubre out there to finish close games. Lonzo is by no means perfect but sure hands and accurate passes are incredibly important in those situations. Thats why we played Andre and Shaun in closeout situations. Not because theyre gonna be taking a lot of shots but so that they can get the ball to steph and klay. Last, this would help Wiseman a ton

Great stuff as always!

I'm split 50/50 but another important thing is durability, look at how many times lonzo's already been hurt and missed games.

Alc.. theres no fight in the Pelicans and its killing SVG. And all of a sudden Mr "I dont care about this NCAA tournament"/ fades a lot is available? I am very biased against Lonzo for this. And, to the point you made earlier a while ago about fire and ice.. with Wiggins chill but offset by a Draymond or an Oubre.. Are you putting ice on the drive of this team? Thats the case against. At the same time, the ballhandling man. We can never have enough of that. It just seems like in the playoffs when defenses ramp up it becomes even more important.

Since the warriors own Oubre's contract rights and the league has seen Kelly's offensive limitations it would take a lot for me to trade him. If he's happy and and doesnt get any crazy overpaid offers I think Kelly is a perfect 6man. He can be Andre 2.0, He doesn't yet have the BAll IQ Andre had but with experience and time that would improve. When Thompson comes back it will take time for him to regain form and will need to build up his body slowly to prevent injury. That means Kelly will basically be a 6th starter with huge role still but wont have to worry as much about secondary offense and shooting. He can just play his high energy defense and savage athletic offensive highlights that makes him valuable. He will have NO offensive pressure witch should relax him as well as playing against other bench players. so you add klay and another high draft pick to the current roster thats a championship contender next year

That said I might consider a deal if NOP is willing to give up a strong haul such as JJ, Heart and Lakers 1st rounder for next year they acquired in Davis trade. Or Lanzo and other solid asset the warriors can use for lacking depth chart. But really it depends on how happy Kelly is with his current and long term role. Hes such great defender who BM

Wouldn't Lonzo be better at the Andre/Livingston role than Oubre? Plus Lonzo would be a RFA. We can extend him a QO a either keep him, sign and trade, or let him go. Oubre will be an UFA and they could lose him for nothing.

Sorry can score but is happy contributing but not being an offensive go to guy. Thats literally exactly what we need next year. A full season healthy and off season with warriors development program and fully healed knee will help Kelly as well.
