I saw last night this was Kawhi's first back to back since 2017. Thats embarassing to go 4 years from age 24 to 28 load managing and literlly NEVER playing a single back to back. I know if I were a teammate I'd feel a type of way

Anonymous

I think they should give Poole some minutes in place of Wanamaker. Poole is just a better natural playmaker than Wanamaker is.

Anonymous

I gotta say, those Wiseman short jumpers around 1:30 in the video looked 100% like Embiid to me.

Anonymous

This where we need a solid shooter. I've mentioned him before but grabbing McDermott would be a perfect addition to this roster

Anonymous

would be nice but oubre was playing well. a few of those threes fall we talking a different game

Anonymous

All this team needs is one very good 3 and D wing.. my question is why cant wiggins be on the wing and get to shoot those shots that steph passes to oubre? He shots 40% from the corner.. he can do that..

Anonymous

Oubre is just killing this team..

Major Powers

Things are coming together. Now we just need Kerr to stop with some of his clown car rotations.

First of all Brad should just go back to Germany. But yeah Baze looked nice the last few games, and his shot definitely passes the eye test, good compact release. And I don't know who allowed EP to say he jumps less on his jumpshot, but at least the middy is pure. Can't he just give up a little of his elevation to Dray. Man, when he passed up that shot, I was Like, man at least try to show that you still believe in it. But he doesn't seem to believe it either. One more example that all the Instagram clip mean shit. And lastly, the blocking with both hand is definitely underrated. I'm 5'11, and most of my friends would say that I'm a way above shot blocker for my size. I played goalkeeper in soccer for 10+ years, so I can equally jump off both feet and Contest with either hand. Don't know how easy it is to change that at Wisemans age.

Thomas Ogas

First off, thanks for giving us this video. Really need the distraction right about now. I'm excited about Andrew Wiggins. Dude is a VERY GOOD 2-way player. Young. Great size and athleticism too. Still not in his prime. We got him AND MIN #1 pick. Amazing! Love your idea of Bazemore in the starting 5 and Oubre as 6th man (sub out Wiggins so Wiggins can beast with Paschall in the 2nd unit). Bazemore will hit those open 3s, plays within the system better, and is decent enough on defense. Glad I'm wrong about Paschall, but I still think we need better guard play in the 2nd unit. Maybe that's where our DPE will ultimately end up being used. Thing is, I don't think this team will spend the money unless it's late in the season, they're in contention, and Joey really really wants to win. I think the Ws really really want to keep their 2021 draft pick and if they're competative, that's a bonus. And, holy hell, this team is going to be good in 2021-2022!

Anonymous

Oubre has commited the same corner out of bounds turn over like... 4 times now, seems like an easy fix but he commits one every other game. I wonder what he is being coached on. But that said, absolutely LOVE his on-ball defense and nastiness. I hope with Draymond's help he can figure out the switching concepts and be good as a team defender. Maybe he's working on his corner three? Several games now he has had that opportunity, where he looks down at the line and lets it fly. Wannamaker needs to go. Poole and Bazemore seem physically weaker and may be worse defensively, but they seem SO much better offensively. Especially with Poole and EP's experience last year they have some chemistry together. I don't know what Draymond is working on. You're right though, he needs to get in the gym and make 100 top of the key threes every day.

Anonymous

I don't think it was too bad, love the minutes for Bazemore, and like Alch said Kerr ist just giving Wanamaker his chance as a vet. Gonna see some changes real soon I think

Anonymous

Strange, you did not comment on the perimeter defense All the highlights for the clippers seemed to be with all our 5 defenders cluttered in the paint and them just shooting a wide open 3

Anonymous

I mean a very good 3 and D wing isn't that easy to find. There are maybe 5 or 10 in the league. Klay being one of them.

Jansen E

That play at 2:39 from Looney. That continued to solidify why I can't stand him. I dont care that he had a good offensive game against the Kings. The dude is WIDE the fuck open and against a seven footer, he puts the ball below his goddamn knees and gets stuck. He's gotta go. The lack of offense in this game was very bothersome to watch. Like it just made you feel uneasy and looked gross. The defense was nice. Though I wont count on Kawhi and PG to be as out of rhythm on Friday. Im hoping that with this game, they make the adjustments and perform better on Friday. They may not win. But goddamn, can we just finish some layups please? And get a working lob to Wiseman???? So many times we missed easy lobs. Forgetting the shitty offense, the game overall actually was pretty good for the Warriors. Solid defense, decent rebounding, and Paschall continues to be a beast.

Russ

You keep finding the subtle things that we see but you accurately point out so well. Dray's help D, Wiseman's left hand block (perhaps trying to get out of the way?). Wiggins matching Kawhi was true until Crunch time then Kawhi took over in a way Wiggins maybe doesn't feel comfortable doing. The Clippers still seem to me to be leaderless, Kawhi and PG just don't have it, they are like Wiggins, tremendous players but not leaders. Steph this year reminds me of what World B. Free went through. He was known as a great shooter first, and then for a time years later he went to the basket with abandon and lived at the free throw line. What is up with Poole, did he pull a Marcus Allen and date the owners grand daughter?

Anonymous

I don't even care about Draymond not shooting 3's anymore. But it is RIDICULOUS for him to not have a single offensive move, or that he can't attack the rim against other small guards like Beverly, in 4 years he's managed to be the same player minus the shooting, he could've added at least one freaking move per season and he'd be on a different level

Ezra Abbey

Kawhi's load management is for health reasons, load management has been proven to work, why would you feel a type of way about your teammate making a smart medical decision?

Ezra Abbey

Am I tripping or have Wiggins & EP been our most consistent players? I know things could look different a few months from now but I'm really impressed with Andrew, dude is playing super solid man defense and seems to rise to the occasion every time we need a bucket. Hot take: Is he an all star?

Anonymous

I love Andrew Wiggins. Last game, you talked about how he was tired of the HB comparison. This game, he was hyped on d and dropping buckets on Kawhi. Hes out there to show that he is for real and I am Wiggins 4 Life now Its obvious that Wiseman needs to play guitar. Its amazing for hand strength and wiring your brain to your non dominant hand. He should be the 7 foot Jimi Hendrix rocking in Mandarin in the offseason. fuggetaboutit

Anonymous

Draymonds stats through 4 games. 2.5ppg .. 18% FG. 14% 3pt yet people say he isnt there for stats. Tell me if he sisnt holding the team down with these horrible stats. We are basically playing 3 of 5 offensive threats among starters with one (wiseman) being a rookie. Oubre and dray arent producing much in pts.

Anonymous

Looney isnt good at all. Kerr is just stuck with all thse bad players..idk

Russ

If you think about it Dray gets so pissed off at players that work on O but don't want to work on D, hasn't he essentially been doing that in reverse for his entire career? He is zero threat on offense. I know he makes his team mates better, brings the ball up and sets picks like a man and has so much that he offers to the team, but when he goes off on people he should just once hear it back. Like "Dude shut the F up and do something on offense, anything, you are just coasting, put in some effort"

Jerry Heverly

The second unit (in the second half) came in with the Warriors down about 9, I think. When they left GS was ahead. That's Pascall and Wiggins mostly. I like the idea of adding Oubre to that mix, put Bazemore with the starters. My guess is that Kerr will adjust by scheming more double screens for Steph and plays where he drives and, I hope, gets fouled. The game really turned on those two three's from Batum. I don't expect Draymond to be taken advantage of that way next game.

Anonymous

one of my fav games from wiggins as a warrior. he had a huge task w/ kawhi but did really well imo... wanamaker gots ta go.

Anonymous

I'm still waiting patiently for Steph to come out of his shooting slump. Every season there's always these stretches where he puts a lot of forward momentum and jump on his shots and it seems like these are psychological issues rather than physical. We know he is still making 105 threes in practice but the reality is his form is really different in actual in game scenarios because he is more agitated. He's just so good it still goes in at a good rate when he shoots in different forms.

Anonymous

this game gave you high hopes but really exposed our weaknesses. Everybody keeps saying can Curry carry? He cannot carry draymond and oubre. that's a huge problem that Kerr needs to address. Maybe space Wiseman and put oubre in dunker spot. Draymond do something pls... I was screaming for Meyers to bring back GR3. Oubre cannot punish defense for crunching the floor around steph. it's sad 😥

Kahlil Baker

What is going on with Wanamaker. He acts like he’s Steph or CP3 but he don’t like to pass the ball. When he tried to rebound and put the ball up between two bigs it made no sense!

Anonymous

I love Draymond. No Dray, no rings. All star. There wont be another Draymond for a long time. BUT to your point remember last night he got that and one layup from the Curry feed and they were talking about him as if he had his 20th straight triple double. Instead of "just a reminder he does score once in a while" or something. Hes our LaMelo Ball. Oh wait that dudes scoring now? Never mind

Anonymous

I wonder if moving Wiggins to SG, inserting Paschall at SF would ignite our starting lineup woes. Oubre ain't doing much offensively and the turnovers he creates on the defensive end is just offset. Quite frankly I trust Paachall more operating his game in the mid-range over Oubre bricking corner 3's, driving towards 3 defenders for some crazy layup or looking down if he's behind the arc to shoot the 3 ball....

Anonymous

Don't know how y'all feel but Shams just tweeted J. Lin coming back to the bay...

Anonymous

Although Steph was struggling, I feel like Draymond was kind of the key to the game being lost. I think the flagrant on Kawhi was the turning point of the game. And each Batum three was a result of him over-helping. And it’s getting frustrating to see him not be able to make a WIDE OPEN three or at least a floater like in ‘15 season. Otherwise else, I think it was encouraging that this was a competitive game with really the bench and Wiggins being the productive ones. Seems like the team is still getting better.

Anonymous

I think the most encouraging thing moving forward, was the facial expression of the Clippers leaving the court at half. This Warriors team might not be that good (yet), but they ain't fun to play. Kawhi and PG expected to come in and roll um up and smoke up, but instead it required late 3 balls from the corner to put it away. Like you said, just competitive games, let these young boys develop...think its gonna be a fun season:)

Anonymous

Pascall needs to be the primary focus of an offense to best utilize his talents, hence his potency in the 2nd unit. We say him in the starting lineup and even later in this game and its hard for him to find his place. He is best suited at the moment as our 6th man. However, how to fix this offensive situation created by Dray's inability to score? That's the more long term question not Oubre's shooting

Anonymous

Bro deadass I be waiting for your vids to drop after every dubs game lol. Keep up the good work bruhs

Anonymous

On a side note, the Warrior's looking more respectable is being attributed mostly to Dray's return to the starting lineup. At the moment, his trade-value is substantially higher than it was 2 weeks ago even with his absence on offense. Although if he continues averaging less than 5 points a game not sure how long that value will maintain itself.

Anonymous

Good game despite the loss. Only thing that bugged me was Kerr going back to Wiseman midway thru the 4th when EP was dominating at the 5. Should've kept the hot hand going despite the height disadvantage.

athleticalchemy

The Clippers are iso heavy, which neutralizes his value defensively..Let see if he shows up Friday ready to pull the trigger

Anonymous

You have taught me well, AA. When Loon crab dribbled I said to my son immediately "don't put that shit on the floor, go right up!!" Haha.

athleticalchemy

I think JW can because of his size, like you said, too me its more about the feet and gather to be in place to do it more so than actually using the off hand. Because he is so big he shouldn't really have to 1-2 step or have some big gather he should be able to more or less hop into some blocks

Anonymous

looney be on that bull. cant jump over a phone book....

athleticalchemy

Glad I could provide it Thomas! I also have a hard time seeing them using the DPE unless we are somehow top 4 or 5 in the west.. maybe Bron or Kawhi go down. What if we won the play in game and ended up in the playoffs with two lotto picks...

athleticalchemy

Im keep pointing out Oubre footwork until someone of importance notices..nah I feel silly acting as if the staff isn't seeing the same thing and working on it with him..but it doesn't feel that way

athleticalchemy

I thought we were pretty good defensively until late.. but you are right they have a tendency to over help

athleticalchemy

Honestly I think Kawhi is overrated... too me he has no business in the same breath as LBJ, Giannis or KD ... He is very good scorer thats it! no leadership no intangibles the other 3 elite wings/forwards say what you want about how they do it..they at least try to lead. They bring a certain juice that a lot of the time can elevate role players.

athleticalchemy

that would be dope cross training.. you always here about dance or boxing but I get how that would work well. Ive picked up a guitar and felt my brain and hands kinda scramble...

Anonymous

I def wanna see more JP My only concern is that he is offensive minded and will take away from the tandem of EP and Wiggins in the 2nd unit I could see Kerr liking Wanamaker cuz his D even tho he usually fumbles the TO and his “vet presence” on the floor to get it to EP and Wiggins consistently I’m afraid Oubre doesn’t have the bball IQ take another step If he can make some of his shots and not be so extreme with high and low % his D and energy is worth a lot! Love to see some more pick and roll with Big Dub and Wiggins with Curry and DLee as the kick option

Anonymous

I think oubre on the bench would be great. BAZENMORE plays the 2 better and has shot the ball. U give up oubres d buT u also have him for the bench were he can have a easier time scoring and even defending. yeah it may be offensive to oubre but rn he needs to get back into the flow and the 6th man is worth trying and thats not to say he should never play with the startera just overlap minutes mote

Anonymous

Is there a reason why Poole is getting little to no minutes at all? I'm curious to see how he is now that he seems to have bulked up and is in much better shape than last year. I'd imagine that he could be a reasonable enough defender and is pretty good on ball now. I'm kinda curious to see how it'd look if he entered the starting 2 spot and Kelly were to come off the bench. Just a thought since it seems like so many people are pushing for Kelly to come off the bench. But really though why is he getting so little time on the court after all the hard work that he seems to be putting in the gym?

Qiushi Hu

We should have spended the 80 mils on Danny Green

Anonymous

holy shit i didnt realize these breakdowns would be so intense

Branden Edwards

Danny isn't the defender Oubre is. And we didn't have anything to trade for Danny

Anonymous

Steph may not be hot every game, but I really want to see him aggressive every game. Him being passive kills his own offense, and Dray's, too, because if he can't create chaos in the defense, Dray will be left alone and he can't do shit. I thought Dray would be too proud not to fix his J, but it's been years. His J probably won't come, ever. I love Oubre's one-on-one defense. Maybe Kerr should put him on a shorter leash on offense, though. I think he passed well against the Kings, but old habits die hard. Wiggins and EP were amazing on both ends. It's probably better if they let Wiggins iso a bit more, if he can be as consistent as he was last night.

Anonymous

Maybe u should tell him team mates to hit their shots. All star draymond over 4 games is averaging 2.5ppg on 18% Fg and 14% 3pt.. he earns 25m/yr.. nobody guards him.. nobody. Steph is guarded by 3 players and he still has to be more aggressive while making the right pass andlowIQ oubrick bricks everything..

Anonymous

Well, it comes down to who you trust. I trust Steph more with 2 defenders on him than I trust Dray with none, so if the team can help Steph get some decent looks I call it a win. Using Steph as a decoy doesn't work, because as you said, Dray can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Bailey

I remember there were some games that I knew Alc would be big mad at the players and I would get nervous about watching his breakdowns the next day lol

Bailey

Clear out the lanes

Thought this was the 2nd Clippers game for a sec. Got real excited.
