Wiseman or Avidja

Anonymous

I'm a fan from another country I wakeup every game day at 5:30 am to watch games sometimes I'm late to my Lectures because a game is close and I'm not talking about when we're good I'm talking when we have 10 day contract players starting I think that's what makes you a real fan loving the team no matter what's the record or if you're in the playoffs or the lottery always rooting for your team no matter what

Anonymous

I wanted Avdija 1st and Edwards 2nd but just because I thought Wiseman wouldn't really be able to shoot 3. After you said he has touch it's gotta be Wiseman 1st.

I became a fan during the 73-9 postseason because of your vid Alch. I believe the first game that I watched was Game 6 Klay vs OKC. So I know very little about the Warrior's history. But I'm loving these classic vids you're doing. Keep up the great work.

Respect! Like everything else there are levels to it.. I’ve learned to just except wherever someone is at.... except these young kids who be switching it up each year! Got to give m grief! 😀

Mayansh Upadhyaya

I became a fan in 2013-2014 after seeing a Steph 3pt compilation vid on YT. Was about 10 at the time and just getting into basketball. Much respect for the OG older dub fans. I know it was a long hard and painful road to this current success but it's here finally!!

Strong Foru

I scored 50%. Bah humbug. Not sure how I remembered that Kevin and Klay were childhood friends. Also, until you did your analysis of LaMelo, I was kinda hyped at the prospect of the Dubs drafting him. But now, I don't know what to think. Lol.

Dan Doerge

Fun deal, Alch, THNX! I became a Warrior fan in Philadelphia when Wilt was there. On the 2020 draft, I'm going with the Alchemy moon shot w/ Wiseman!!!

athleticalchemy

Triple OG status! It’s fitting with your history of the game, you would take the swing on a gifted big man.. and I’m with you! I don’t care what era were in!

Been a fan since the days of World B. Free, Gus Williams, and Bernard King. Call me old school, but I want Wiseman. 3 titles in 5 years gives us the luxury to swing for the fences. If he's not a superstar, he should at least be able to help us defensively. But he could be a transcendent player.

Alc, I don't see the logic in the trade down. I understand the trade away (pick plus player = Giannis.. boyyyyyy) but not the down. A top five pick is both a likely immediate contributor and future key piece .. I guess it's just to me in this draft outside of the top five I am just seeing Patrick McCaws in here ..

I think the Warriors trade back if they have the 1st or 2nd pick if they can, but if they don't have a trade back and have to use the 1 or 2 they will go Wiseman ( I think?). I was a bandwagon fan, but it was the original Warriors bandwagon when the Warriors got Rick Barry in 1966 and then went to the finals against Wilt's 76ers in 1967. Rick's play captured my imagination and was responsible for my taking the game up as a kid and playing until 2009.

I got em all right can i call myself a bandwaggoner now? The mo buckets one was tuff though not gonna lie lol miss that dude and the second head growing on top of his head

Yo that was fun, but really easy because a lot of the questions were pretty recent. I hope the Warriors draft Wiseman or Edwards to help the Splash Brothers get another championship while their window is open. I've been a fan since JRich, Dunleavy, TMurph, and Adonal Foyle.

Missed Q 1, and how many times KD dropped 50. Fun little quiz. Are you going to do a longer breakdown of Anthony Edwards? From what I've seen, my top 3 draft pick hopes are Wiseman, Deni, and maybe Toppin. I'd love to see a full breakdown of Edwards though.

That was awesome man! Definitely against picking Melo. Don't want anywhere near his dad!

athleticalchemy

Let me get through some sleepers first, Bey and the kid from FSU.. up next tho, last of the perceived top tier Okongwu

athleticalchemy

Thanks! Lavar has fallen back publicly, but who knows what he is telling his boys behind close doors. That said Lonzo has seemed to turn the corner.

Thanks for something different Alch. Got 1 wrong being Klay/Love question... had no idea. Been a fan since run TMC in Australia. I just chose Bay area teams in the early 90's and timmy killer crossover. Been embarrassed when asked lately who i support cause you just get the bandwagon crap. anyway i got the jerseys and photos to prove it. Keep up the good work

Wiseman... no question

Mannn love the content, and for the draft If we get the top 2 pick I don’t mind trading down or if we had to pick one I’d say my fave is probs deni avidja

athleticalchemy

I feel you! living in AZ when the dynasty formed everybody assumes you hoped on if you are not in the Bay.

athleticalchemy

Thanks Enoch! Deni seems to be all over the place on people boards, hopefully he can fly in for workouts at some point.

Hey Alchemy , Great stuff as always. Did you read John Hollinger article at the Athletic, he ranked his top 20 2020 drafts prospects (to Stick in the league) plus 3 sleepers? Would be interesting to get your take. While we're at it , who do like to read or listen to for all things Dubs/nba . Many thanks!

I got 2 wrong and I got back watching NBA games in 2016. I loved how the dubs played and when though they lost (or maybe it was how they lost) to the Cavs I became a fan. I think I’m leaning Wiseman or Avdija but there is also the possibility of trading the pick. I see a lot of armchair basketball “experts” opining that they should “trade the pick, trade the pick”. If it was me I would only trade the pick if we could get back something truly special in return or if somehow we just can’t get the pick we want in terms of fit. Dubs seem to play chess not checkers and I admire that

John Z

the draft is tough, I've been wanting a goddamn good big for so long and somehow we got Quese, yet I still can't decide on Wiseman or Edwards. Baron Davis made me a Warriors fan, before that I felt like we had a AAA team that somehow played professional teams. Didn't mind the spare change tickets though.

Watching the “last dance”, is there any way the League would like to replicate that with the current NBA, and I cannot think any team better than Warrior to do that with since Curry, Thompson and green can go with another run to chase 2 or 3 more rings. And if this could be a case, then it would be very plausible that we will get Giannis! What do you guys think?

Paul Hanson

As far as the draft goes-your breakdowns really got me somewhat excited-even in a less that spectacular draft year. I'm leaning towards Wiseman I suppose. Wiseman and Chriss down low seems like a good thing. I wish Spellman could come back also-I loved his energy. The key to me is Andrew Wiggins. Your test-got the first one wrong but otherwise got it. I guessed right on the question about how many seasons it took for Steph to pass Dell. There's a lot I remember about a lot of lean years so I remembered the Antwan Jameson deal with Vince Carter; Antwan would have been the better pick had only the Warriors had any mojo as a franchise at that time. I remember going to games in the 90s where the Thunder mascot would come in on his motorcycle and crash in flames on the court with everyone booing as loud as they could. I remember the whole Chris Washburn disaster and the alcoholic Chris Mullin-when he was really ruddy looking. I remember how lame it was that when the 1975 Finals came around they had to play at the Cow Palace because the Ice Capades had first dibs on the Oakland Coliseum Arena. I remember Dave Twardzik being an awful GM-drafting 1st a Joe Smith who was OK but-no one wanted to ever become a Warrior. The first Nellie years-it was fun and they were the underdog and it was exciting-but once they tried to actually be a playoff team-reality in the 90s hit them in the head and they truly became a destination no one wanted to be a part of. Thanks again for your work!

Late on this but I got most of these right! Because a fan early in the 2014 season leading to the first ring! I’ve watched every single Warriors game since then given a few I haven’t been able to watch in its entirety. I’ve taken the bandwagon title off of my Fandom cause I’ve been here for 95% of games the past 5.5 seasons. DubNation
