Great stuff once again Alch

Geoff Brady

Those hunched shoulders and poster dunks are so Amare that its not even funny

John

Yea I'm not as high on this kid as others I'm begining to think we should move off the pick I wasn't to impressed with Wiseman either.......funny enough I think the ball brother is the most well rounded in the lottery but we don't need a PG except i do think he would be more consistent and better then Poole I don't think it's worth it to draft for a bench PG melo gets great defense and passing from his brother I just think his shot selection is kinda trash sometimes

Anonymous

Where do you project him to go in the draft? Is he most likely a set top 3 pick?

Anonymous

another great video!

Anonymous

I watched lamelo closely in NBL Australia and it will be hard to convince me to draft him.

Anonymous

Great breakdown as usual. Can't wait to hear your takes Maledon and Deni

athleticalchemy

Got to see how the lottery goes.. he is by no means a lock to go top 3 or 5.. he is a very safe pick, guaranteed immediate production.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMzDk03mpF8 Been enjoying watch KD give Loon the work in this old Rico video. However makes me wonder if we will see this version of Loon ever again?

athleticalchemy

The way they handled everything with him this year was weird. Kerr uncharacteristically cryptic, were they just shutting him down given the situation? Didn’t want any fines? Or was his hip really flaring up again?

Anonymous

Alchemy, looking at the current situation, do you think there is the possibility next season will be postponed and is it a good thing for Warriors?

Anonymous

Do you think the defense is a deal breaker? Seems pretty bad, and the fact he's 22 doesn't help.

Anonymous

If I was a betting man, I’d wager they play in empty gyms and televise the bejesus out of it. Mics on everybody, drama galore, drone cameras, cameras on wires, you name it. They’ll make reality TV out of it. Could be good and...could be awful. We’ll just have to wait and see

athleticalchemy

No.. I think he will be a big enough offensive weapon to make up for it. He just may not finish games on a good team.

Never knew how much of a liability he was on defense. Seems like this draft is so much more complex than previous ones. Considering the Dubs will most likely be drafting in the lottery again next year (Minnesota), I wonder if they’re willing to trade back for a center like Steven Adams. I’m pretty sure OKC would be drooling over a lottery pick rn. Don’t even know if that’s possible with the cap but at least you know what you’re getting.

athleticalchemy

It has been rumored they want to package the pick for a star. I doubt Adams would be a target, how would he and Draymond play together? unless!...nah but it would probably be for like a Oubre or Bertrans caliber player.

Anonymous

Good video ALC.. I really don’t think he is gonna be very good pick for warriors since we have Chris and green already

Anonymous

"morgane me to Freeman" lmao you're wrong 😭

Anonymous

Agree, the spacing would be funky, but the Dubs were able to play with Zaza and Bogut, granted Draymond's shooting was a little better. I wonder if Indiana still wants to hold on to to Turner or if Orlando would ship out Vucevic for picks in order to finally let Mo Bamba play. Either way Quese and Looney aren't good enough to hang with the bigs in the West, we'll need someone come start playoff time. All just fun speculation.

Seems like a nice kid but I'm not that high on his game. If Dubs keep the pick I'd lean towards Anthony Edwards. He's got the scoring and athleticism to be a plus defender on the wing. Could be a bigger Jrue Holiday type guy? I see toughness in Edwards which I like.

I like the speculation G, but from what we viewed at the trade deadline, Adams was available and I truly doubt deals with late first rounders were attached, let alone a high lottery pick. There are sectors of the league that believe him to be 85% of what he was a few years ago, but there’s also a good portion of people who know he’s semi-washed and injury prone. He’s willing to play through injuries, but his mobility severely suffers. Turner would be interesting, Not sure if he’s worth lottery picks. Pretty sure they’re only dealing them for what they would view as a serious upgrade at the 3 or the 4. The warriors in recent history have bought into the philosophy of the 5 being played by committee, especially as the small ball lineups usually being that which closes. We have a mid level exception, and they’re out there trying to see if they can get a 12 million level big for 7. That in tandem with Chriss should prove to be quite effective IMO.

Yeah, thanks, Alchemy. I think the “What’s he made of” section is brilliant. Way too underestimated I think and you could expand it as far as I’m concerned. The upbringing, home environment, mindset, friendships, influences of all kinds...what kind of person is he? That is such a key perspective, I think especially for the Warriors...

athleticalchemy

Ok.. I will! There isn’t always a ton of personal or childhood stuff with these kids. I don’t want to presume too much. But when I can I will go deeper. Everything I read and heard from Obi himself.. he is a good dude had a structured stable up bringing. I do think he may be playing up the humility.. but that’s a good thing imo

Anonymous

This draft looks like a nightmare of options. I’d hate to be in the Dubs front office right now. A lot of pressure to make the “right choice” with the window closing on Steph and Klay’s prime years

Anonymous

Ethan Strauss, mentioned Kira Lewis recently. His highlight reel looks great!. Man, decisions decisions..;)

Thomas Ogas

I was high on Toppin based on random hype. Then I watched this breakdown. Gonna scratch him off my draft list. We don't really need a stretch 4 who can't play NBA defense. While he brings athleticism, we need a guy who brings that plus defense to compliment the pieces we already have. We need another guy like Iguodala.

Anonymous

It doesn’t look like there is another Iggy in this draft but that could be premature. A lot of them are very young. Defense takes a mature mindset

Qiushi Hu

What if he truns out to be a Kyle Kuzma

paul reboca sr

people are talking as if this draft class is not worthy of mention except maybe the top 3 mentions. as fas as i am concerned Alc, this is almost a dynamic class not much wiggle room between between these players, prayers going up for Bod Meyers that he make the right choice. be blessed y'all. Go Dubs!
