I get chills just remembering this moment, stayed up to 2am watching the game next to my father, game ended, we won and i was so hyped bouncing all over the house screaming, went to my bedroom and i had woke up my brother , he was so mad and he told me "you just woke me up" and i said to him... we won! Next thing i do was go into snapchat to see the celebrations from the warrios count and trashtalk my lebron favs friends. Thank you alch for this video, that was a really special run with all that it meant

Damn I almost forgot how fast LeBron's acceleration used to be. But his jump shots were terrible here, he was literally left wide open the whole series and still came up short. It was 2011 Mavericks all over again, only a better excuse and a meaningless triple double. When you look at beginning of 2016, Draymond doesn't really have as much of a backpack shot form like he does here, which to me looks pretty similar to how it is now. Love it when old dudes say Curry can't play in 90s, he is arguably getting more hand checked here than prime Jordan who got the whistles to stop all the hand checking violations. It was so bad teams had to hard double Jordan and play 4 vs 3. Iguodala's brother is a ref and he told Andre that Curry and Klay gets fouled 80% of the possessions they're in...

Hey alch if your going to continue to do these vintage breakdowns there’s a channel on yt ( I can send the link) that has regular season and playoff game starting in 2013-14 through 17-18 finals. For example they have the warriors game 7 loss against the clips I think that would dope to get a pre championship GSW breakdown... you do have to pay for 1.99 the games though.

I remember fucking crying when we won. My brother was a bigger Warriors fan than I was and he was killed right before the start of the playoffs that year. Kinda felt like it was for him, obviously in my own head-space. Really enjoyed this one, brought back a lot.

I feel like now that everyone understands the value of gravity it might have played out different now. But the island that Dre did everything on magnified his performance. Everybody stood and watched if he could make those shots .

Oh my god, this brings back memories. I was so sure we weren't going to make it to the Finals. I was sure the King would crush us if we did. My God, that game, San Jose was ON FIRE! Fireworks until midnight, people screaming in the street, total strangers celebrating together, drinking beers, hugging, high-fiving...one guy down the road from my brother's house (I was in the US visiting home during the run and almost convinced him it would be worth the insane money to go to a game...almost...) fired up his grill in the yard at half-past twelve and invited everybody over for hot dogs for free.

Can’t wait until you start showing these break downs of these draft prospects. Curious to know who you think we should draft. If we don’t take a James Wiseman or Obi Toppin then we definitely should draft another wing. Saddiq Bey looks really promising; he can score at all 3 levels and play some defense. I think we can trade down and maybe get a decent rotation big out of it.

Hey Alc, I see a lot of YouTubers posting videos with titles like, “How the NBA became soft”. I’m very curious about this statement and while it does seem incontrovertible that the rules have changed to make the game less “physical” in some ways I’d love to hear your take on the bigger picture. Maybe a history of the how the game has changed and why

Watching this game again, I remember when I watched this Finals series the first time and marveled at just how fucking fast everything was. I was fortunate to watch two of the games with my brother in law who coaches youth basketball and listening to him gush and get all giddy about the motion and the execution ... really opened my eyes to some of the things the Warriors players were really doing off-ball. I'm glad that you point out the chemistry and counter moves, how the ball keeps moving and how Curry's gravity (a novel concept at the time) creates easy looks back then. We were committed to small ball, flow, and gravity and the team executing that system to perfection was on full display.

Im working on Killian Hayes right now since our beat witters claim the Warriors really like him. It will be out some time this week. Im watching his entire season so I can give you all a confident in depth take. Some of these guys, the games wont be as easy to get so it will have to be more of an impression. But I will get to as many as possible.

Miss this season 😢 I look at it as the blueprint for how we should retool next season. Poole can hopefully fill that Barbosa role and who knows if we can get spelly back there's a speights replacement. Edwards for Iggy? Felt like we had the perfect depth that season to help carry our stars at the start of their playoff careers hopefully we can get it back for the end

Yeah, it was the Festus dunk for me, too. I never forgot that. Everybody doing their part. So sick and tired of the simplistic judgments about greatness. This was a team and someone besides Steph won mvp. And it couldn’t have happened to better man in Andre.

He could never be Iggy, they are lightyears apart in terms of IQ & that becomes especially true on the defensive end of the court. & as far as reprising his role, idk why anyone would want that. He was absolute garbage for two playoff runs, culminating in two straight Finals disappearing acts. He should retire & become a magician. I hope he never wears a Warriors jersey again
