Notification squad 👋

Yo coach, did you hear that bs on First take about Steph having a “slim” chance of being nominated for MVP?

Anonymous

that celebration was JB hiding the strap for Steph.

Anonymous

Steph was saying ''They never seen it".

Anonymous

2 things we learned from this video: 1. The chef is in MVP shape 2. Wall is out of shape.. and he’s FAT

Anonymous

Steph's stats for this season so far are just rediculous: 55% FG 52% 3PG And when he'd keep up with this pace, he'll end up with 541 3-pointers for the season...

Anonymous

Okay but real talk here- those greedy shots were my favorites of the game. Even though he missed them I could see how hungry he is which is great because you know that hunger is gonna be contagious.

Threesus Walks

athleticalchemy

Right but it’s when... he takes them too soon with in the heat check and it breaks them. It like a fighter waiting for the clicks at the end of the round.

Blake (same draft class) gets his 50, next day Steph goes, "Can you hold my beer?" Comes back after 3 quarters, "My beer is still cold right?". Steph is going for his 3rd MVP. Jerebko has Rudy's heart and love his hustle. I do agree that Bell could rub other players the wrong way. It all started with that off the backboard dunk against Mavs last year. Steph's gonna hit his prime this post season when he rises to the playoffs occasion. That's the only knock on his legacy.

athleticalchemy

He does that and I think he can be discussed as GOAT pg. I mean it’s no ridiculous now... But Magic’s resume is long.

Anonymous

I had been thinking about your peak Steph comment myself last night. We didn’t really see it coming that much 2015-16, and to a certain extent, I think I took it for granted. But this my be Steph’s absolute peak year and man does that make me excited. Buckle up, y’all: 77 games to go (plus at least 16 in the playoffs).

Anonymous

Nice catch on KD wanting out of the game, Alch. I missed that one ingame. You pointing out these little moments/stories inside of a game is what I really like from your content. Keep it up brother!

athleticalchemy

Yeah it’s harder for me in these type a games it’s easy to get carried away in the emotion as a fan and it really dial into the game.

Anonymous

Rick Barry is not just an asshole, he's a very opinionated asshole, and he's our asshole.

Anonymous

🤷🏽‍♂️

Anonymous

Small sample size with 4 minutes in garbage time, but I thought Jacob Evans looked his best so far.

athleticalchemy

I love listening to him go off because he obviously holds nothing back. But there is a tone to everything that is just so unnecessary.

athleticalchemy

Thats who I am really waiting to see in some sort of meaningful minutes. But Ill admit Alfonzo has been nice

Anonymous

Steph gets disrespected by the media so much. I see people putting out top 5 lists without Steph in them. Having the nerve to put unproven dudes or people that clearly aren't on his level ahead of him. I hope that Steph averages 30 points a night and breaks his 400 3pters record honestly.

Anonymous

What a game! I've been waiting for this one to drop. I can't get enough of it. Vintage Steph.

athleticalchemy

You think there is a element of "it comes too easy" like those shots last night were ridiculously difficult but to casual fans they just see him shooting. IDK .....

Anonymous

Good commentary as always ... Dubs need to lose the “wet-the-bed yellow” unis, not too suave...

Anonymous

Ridiculous how smooth and soft Curry moves and jumps when he is in the zone. Reminds me of that 38 point (10/13 three pointer) game that he had on his injury return. He even moves off the ball better. I know we're just 5 games in but Steph's performance is almost always based on his psychological state imo and right now, it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon.

Man the Wizards were so demoralized by Steph by the end of the 3rd quarter. They knew they couldn't do anything. Anyone see that crazy 70 foot tear drop that didn't count? Loudest gasp in the arena. Even KD by the 4th quarter knew how defeated the Wizards were when he asked to get subbed out. Bradley Beal's post game interview is almost downright depressing when he's asked about how to guard Steph.

Anonymous

One thing I hope Steph takes away from this game is that he can be as aggressive as he wants and it's not gonna interfere with KD getting his. I feel like the traditional wisdom is that superstars should get teammates going early and then get more aggressive once everyone is comfortable, but it's kinda backwards for Steph. I prefer when he's aggressive early and then when everyone is scrambling to try to stop him as soon as he crosses halfcourt, open dunks and wide open shots open up for everyone else, not to mention the extra adrenaline from feeding off the crowd.

+1 on Prime Curry at 30 he looks strong, prayers for them ankles to stay that way when Cousins gets back this team is untouchable in 7 games

To me the most pleasant surprise this year is the play of Damian. It's the first time I've seen that he looks like he really belongs out there.

One thing that I absolutely love about watching Steph Curry, is that no matter how much I know what he does and who he is, every time he starts pulling up for those shots, Im internally screaming "NO NO NO NO!" and then it splashes and its just insanely fun. My whole family enjoyed that game together and it was just getting more ridiculous with every shot he was throwing up. I gotta say Im somewhat disappointed in the Wizards for not putting up just a slightly better fight because we all wanted him to play the 4th. But a W is a W. Steph looks like he's on a mission for another MVP. KD getting 30 without anyone noticing is also very impressive. Klay......man. Whats up with Klays shooting do you think? He's fine from midrange, almost better than he's ever been. My biggest take away from this game (besides what Wilding Threlfall said) was that it was good to see Quinn Cook finally do a little bit of scoring on his own. The bench seriously needs someone to be able to do it outside of Livingston or Iggy. Against real contending teams like Utah/Denver/Boston/Raptors(???), we are going to need the bench to step up. Because they flatout suck right now.

I hope GSW doesn't forget that the year we won 73 and Curry was the unanimous MVP was also the same year we lost the Finals. All these regular season and individual goals need to be secondary. Another MVP isn't really gonna change Curry's legacy. His legacy will be about rings and the fact that he changed the game. All that matters is what happens from April thru June. That's when you want Curry healthy so he can show the whole world watching his greatness. At this point, titles are all that matter.

Anonymous

My favorite play was Steph taking those two greedy shots from 4 feet inside half court. Just that the man has the confedence to shoot that shit in a half-court set is why hes the most fun player to watch in the game.

Anonymous

lmao i member when u mentioned that curry COULD be leaving his prime

athleticalchemy

Thats why I said I didn’t see this coming . History says 30 for pg is that time. But there are anomalies, Nash’s MVP seasons came at 32 I believe. Both of them not as reliant on athleticism.

Anonymous

Steph 7:30.... "they've never seen it" dude is 55% fg 52% from 3... popcorn ready yall

Anonymous

random thought but member when west and livingston said there was lots of drama going on behind the scenes? it was never mentioned again but u think that has something to do w mccaw?

Anonymous

Here's something from a Chron article recently: "During his two seasons with the Warriors, McCaw built a reputation as the consummate teammate. Many in the organization admired his humble approach, the way he worked diligently, stayed ready and listened to more established players. "It is why in late May, after McCaw was undercut by Kings guard Vince Carter on a layup attempt and injured his spine, many of his coaches and teammates visited him at UC Davis Medical Center. Some in the front office viewed McCaw as an important building block — not just because of his skill set, but because he fit the locker room ethos." I know the dominant narrative here is to Casspee on Patty's corpse, but that doesn't sound like he was a problem, and it would be tough for a non-frontline guy to create real serious locker room issues.

Major Powers

Hey Alc u should pick one (or more) of your fave full Warriors breakdowns you've done and put it on the Patreon 'hello' page to show newcomers an example of what they get. Cause you've only been posting them on Patreon for awhile, newcomers won't even know how good the breaksdowns really are. The youtube NBA Alchemys are straight hot hot fire, btw.

Major Powers

Hey Alc! as to your "what should I cover?" in the last nba alc episode, can you cover the Rockets? I know CP3 was suspended and Harden was out tonight. But even when they were all together they looked wack as fuck. Too early for hot takes, or has the 2nd best team in the West suddenly stumbled without Ariza and adding Melo? I wanna know your take.

Anonymous

Hey Alch, thoughts on KD's comments about wanting max money and taking no more discounts? Doesn't really surprise me, and I admire his honesty, but do you think this has any bearing at all on whether he stays? Rather, the ownership is pretty much bound to offer him Max money unless they can figure out a way to get AD, right?

Anonymous

As far as I know, all he said is that he's not interested in taking any more discounts. That's all I meant about honesty. But yeah, I'm sure you could have taken the bag the last few seasons of course, but the fact was he was willing not to. Now he's coming right out and saying nah no more of that. Personally I appreciate it cuz it seems like a lot of dudes would just be too gun shy about saying what they think, especially someone like KD, who is a bit sensitive and has been burned before.

athleticalchemy

I had low-key been avoiding there games. CP suspension and Harden hamstring I dont know how much we can really take away. I do believe in championship loss hangovers. (See Super Bowl losers) I think they deep down know that was there chance last year. Not sure they can recover from that. Not to mention the Ariza loss. Morey getting more aggressive with JB deals is telling they know this inertially

I saw today a headline "Wall calls out Wizard teammates" and had to chuckle.
