Javale in the starting lineup let's the starters play more like themselves. I think Zaza bogs them down.

Big picture, I don’t think JaVale is a good matchup for HOU at all. If he starts, he’ll get fouled out real quick as Harden and CP3 will just go PnR whenever he is on the floor

I don't disagree. But doesn't Zaza have the same problem? At least Javale has a chance to block the shot after they beat him. But against HOU there won't be much time with traditional centers.

I feel that with more time Javale will learn not to foul so much especially on Harden. Hands straight up is the best way to guard him in the PnR. I can live with Harden taking all the shots he wants instead of giving him easy lobs/FTs
