Despite KD missing the wide open mid range pull-up to tie the game, I’m GLAD that KD was trying to close the game out and not playing hot potato with Steph or Klay. KD was on another level and that’s what we need later on, giving it to someone definitive to close quarters out and has to be the guy that has it going that game. I don’t have much complaints this game. Bottom line, Dame and Mcollum showed up and our backcourt didn’t.

It wasn’t that good of a game for Portland. Everyone who’s a good 3 pt shooter shot well. Aminu is a 40%er this year, shabazz is a starting PG on a lot of teams and we’ll probably lose him this year.

I was honestly happy with how we played too, especially on defense. I just really hated how Young was absolutely useless. It started with him with that stupid turnover when he got his cookies stolen, then missing wide open shots. What I also noticed though, is during the 4th quarter, when we were about to even the score or take the lead, we settled for 3s, and they weren't dropping this game, so i would have preferred it if we went to the paint.

The game looked fun and pretty interesting. But what the actual fuck was Bill Walton talking about? Seriously, I could barely listen to the game the man was so annoying.

Dame and cj generally hit a lot of contested shots. They played well, everyone else was meh. Moe harkless airballed a post up on steph, shabazz couldn’t even hold Onto the ball, aminu couldn’t guard KDs front door, Nurkic insisted on tapping up weird awkward layups and fouling KD on the 3 pt shot (stotts actually benched him for that), et might as well have went home. Dame and cj combined for 73, well over half the teams points. We could have played much better. Just my opinion as a blazers homer. I’ve seen better games from them.

fair enough...They may not have executed, but what do you rate the effort level of your Blazers? Aminu and Shabazz were really good for yall imo.

Oh the effort was a 10. It usually is for those guys. We’re not the warriors or Houston, we can’t take games off. Nurk On the other hand, consistent lack of effort. It’s a conditioning issue I assume.

I have maybe seen 10 gm this year, but to me Aminu is kind of the barometer, when he plays well you guys are pretty damn good. Mo has to be frustrating.

Spot on. We force him to the 4 even though he’s naturally a 3, so if we get him making shots and playing D, it’s a lot easier to penetrate for dame and cj, and nurk doesn’t have to fight double teams in the post. When he’s off, it turns into 2v5 for the blazers, which was pretty much the story all last season. As for moe. We are all at a loss. Most inconsistent player on the roster. At times, he looks like he can be the 3 we need for the future. Has all the tools. Length, athleticism, youth, can shoot 3s, but it feels like he just doesn’t want to play basketball most of the time. He was in a lot of trade rumors for melo so I think that bugged him, but to still be whining about it is crazy considering the contract we gave him.

I was in a really sour, down on the warriors mood after this one, I think, because I just really wanted them to win this one. But listening and watching here, I see the bigger perspective of maybe the warriors played harder and better than I thought they did and Portland shot it pretty well. But I also thought when Walton was naming Blazer players that are no longer with us, please lord, couldn't we add one more to the list to save me from his commentary! I know, quite selfish.

Haha I like him.... but in small doses. Not calling a game. I will say I love how he keeps it a buck.. he dgf about sticking to the typical NBA propaganda script. He’s got that triple OG status where he knows he can say whatever he wants. I’d love him on inside rather than KGs suspect ass.

how is that not a carry @ 6:04? Do you ever think there will be some push back on the fact that soooo many of the players carry now? Or is it just the new way of showing ones "handles"?
