Great Video Alchemy! New patreon here, I neber really noticed it before but whats up with that full extended pump fake that Swaggy does, I find it quite funny and apparently Kerr and Brown do as well cause everytime he does it it seems like they are dying on the bench. Is that just his thing or is this some tactic that some shooters use? Also concerning Javale i love the dude but it doesn't seem like he is working hard enough to keep his position in the franchise as it seems like he is letting ppl blow by him to get a block instead of going straight up since he is so long. Also i think that more action between klay and Curry would be nice as they both draw alot of gravity you think Kerr will try to implement this more? Thoughts?

First off welcome and thank you for the support! The OG of that move is https://youtu.be/p8scd1LdbY8. mahmoud abdul rauf...sorry hit enter on phone. Nick is just a clown and does it for style points. JM maybe the worst timing I've ever seen from a shot blocker. He never had to learn it. He just jumped and being his size was rewarded.

Stephs spacing defines this game

Thanks for your consistency in releasing these videos. I look forward to every one and am always richly rewarded. It's challenging to do anything solidly and consistently in this crazy world. Respect.

I wish Javale would use his feet to keep the driver in front of him, even if just for a half second longer than he does now. But he always wants to let them blow by and block them from behind. As you indicated: old habits.

Major Powers

I for one wouldn't mind at all if you focused on getting out the main channel vid first. I think growth is the most important thing for you and all of us as Alchemy fans. I bet a lot of your Patreons are in it not just for the great content, but because we wanna see you flourish! I mean, I don't wanna speak for everyone, but just sayin', if you wanna push the main channel game first and then give us the extendo clip, I think most people would be totally fine with that.

Agree with Major.

Did you peep KD get angry at Klay for passing up that 3 pointer at 9:40? He was so wide open that he forgot what to do and ended up unnecessarily pump faking.

athleticalchemy

I will play with it this month on the big games and see how it goes. Honestly I feel fresh and more dialed in recording in the mornings. But the stuff is time sensitive. Appreciate the feedback!

JM has always let ppl go by and then just try to block it. Not disciplined enough in feet to try and stay with someone. Like AA said, it's a bad habit from childhood and cuz he usually got the block, youth coaches prolly never bothered to fix it.

The ankle was definitely still on the back of Curry's mind. Before the injury, Curry has been very aggressive about going to the basket and has been shooting more 2's and FT's than ever before. But only 3 of of this shots were 2's last night. Did not seem like he was as willing to go to the rim. He may not even be aware of it, it may be subconscious. As far as Klay, if you look at the numbers, he's definitely less aggressive for some reason in the 2nd half. I think the defense tightens up on him after the 1st half and he's not getting open. And Zaza was great with his screen assists but our defense was hurting with him in there. Memphis is a bad team w/o Conley and they were putting up huge numbers against us. Zaza just offers 0 rim protection, has poor length, and covers little ground. So we were giving up lots of points in the paint. Despite some mistakes, Bell's superior defense makes up for them. 4 blocks and he didn't even play that much.

I don't think it's correct to assume his added strength is responsible for his low 3-pt % this season. If that was true, his midrange shot % and free-throw % wouldn't have gone up. What I see from the start of the season was his jump was significantly higher than usual, messing up his arc and direction. After his first hand injury, he started jumping less and less. This game is a perfect example of how Curry shoots in his optimal state: calm, relaxed, and with a very low jump. Watching his early games, it's a stark contrast for sure.

It makes sense to start Za to free up our shooters, get them going. Then put the clamps on with Bell.

This game is prime evidence why we start Za and have McGee come off the bench, if at all.

So what are we gonna do about our Iggy problem. He hasn't been productive all year and he is showing that he is afraid to shoot the ball. How can the death lineup be effective if he isn't?

athleticalchemy

He has flipped a switch in the past. But it is concerning, especially with Nick giving us very little. Lets see who gets bought out come Feb.
