Nathan Glanzer

Yeah that guy looked like he was gonna go sing for his My Chemical Romance cover band after the game.

Hey Alchemy. I don't usually post negative feedback. I love what you do. In this instance the word "cracker" is something I hope you can leave out of future videos. I know you don't mean anything by it but it injects a different vibe.. maybe I'm being overly sensitive though. If so, disregard 😁

athleticalchemy

I get it.. I was just trying to give you the vibe I was getting from Dwest. saying it as his inner voice type of thing.

Hey Alchemy, I don't usually post, but I'm totally with you on trading Lillard. I feel like him and McCollum are just too similar. But I think McCollum has more tricks in the bag as far as offense. They need someone who can really guys involved and can make better decisions.

I disagree on your analysis of lillard. Dont think he cares about numbers at all. I watch eveyr blazers game. He was top 10 in defensive win shares before this game, and has completely improved defensively. He played as good defense on KD as anyone could. When your taking the court with cj mccollum and a bunch of trash cans, you'll shoot 28 times too. Portlands system between dame and cj, and they have spoken about this, is that they defer to whoever has the hot hand, which was lillard at the time. Lillard had has multiple games where he is completely content just playmaking and not scoring, running nurkic PNR's constantly. Without nurk there he has to score more. We started MEYERS LEONARD. An on that jordan bell play where you said lillard forced it, he was fouled, just wasn't called. Iggy also completely flopped. You have to be blind not to see that. On your point of trading lillard, you've clearly never seeen (and I dont blame you, not many reasons to watch the blazers right now) mcollum try to run the offense lol. Turn over machine.

Heh... I also thought the bench was gonna get T'd up on that...

your right I only see them maybe, maybe 10x a year. But every time I do its Dame playing hero ball. I'm not talking about making CJ the primary distributor, half the teams in the league run their offense thru a forward. You have to admit Dame takes some bad shots! With his ability to get any where, he could be getting guys (trash or not) easy buckets, buts that's just not in his DNA. I will love to hear your take on him after a couple more seasons of this. Dont get me wrong he is an All-star but the whole, "I get no respect" thing I'm not with it. He is a notch below the elite pg.

Portland is what GSW would be if we kept Curry and Monta together and Mark Jackson was still our coach. And you're right, the player they need to trade is Lillard. It's rumored that many GSW players believe this as well. Luckily we had the balls to get rid of Monta even though he was a fan favorite. Portland will never win anything until they realize they need to trade Lillard. People who know hoop understand why.

When KD plays focused like in these games without Curry or like last playoffs, he is the best player in the world. There's no way you can stop him. And you can tell by his demeanor that he knows it.

Did anyone noticed KD kind of hurt in this game? He was was holding on to his right calf/knee around 3rd quarter and that is why he went quiet mostly in the 4th. Maybe just a cramp. Hope everything is okay and glad that our game is until Thursday but I wouldn’t be surprised if he listed as “Questionable” on the injury report tomorrow or Thursday morning, but man injures are plaguing us early

Another Great Video Thanks Alchemy

athleticalchemy

yes I almost put in the vid, but I feel like I harp on possible injuries too much. I knew it was a cramp because right after he sat. Quinn hit that spin move J and he jumped up and celebrated.

Carson, Dame isn't the problem, but he ain't the answer either! One has to go and he nets a bigger return. Neither one is a plus defender, but CJ needs the ball less, and his length allows for more defensive versatility in terms of pairing him with other guards. Its not a simple equation. I understand if your a Blazer fan he has been the heart and soul of the franchise. But I feel like it can distort your view of him because he is such a soldier and emotional player.

Anybody seen Steph on the sidelines of any games? Remember, the last couple couple games, Steph was lethargic, often lazy, totally uninterested.

People who "know hoop" better than you, locked lillard into a massive extension and have positioned him as our franchise player. Warriors fans have the strangest perspective. Not every team is gonna find a draymond in the second round, and get a 2x mvp for 40 million. You guys are the exception, not the norm. The nba should not follow the warriors blue print.

Sorry, just saw this. Dame is a plus defender this year. https://stats.nba.com/players/defense/?sort=DEF_WS&dir=-1 Cj needs the ball less, thats true, but to do anything beyond spotting up for 3s, he needs the ball just as much. The difference is, he cant do as much with it. You can find wing scorers who can shoot, you cant find people to run the blazers and terry stotts flow offense as well as dame has. I know dame isn't the most efficient player in the nba, but hes 27. Barely his prime. He will continue to get better, and as soon as he gets any reliable wing scoring, his percentages WILL rise. I watch enough blazers games to know that dame starts the first half of every game in straight playmaking mode, isn't even looking to score. When they go into the second half and their down by 15 like they usually are, of course he's gonna try something different. CJ cannot be the best player on our team. He is a scorer, thats it. Cant playmake, cant defend other SGs, is a turn over machine late games, and isn't a leader. I think at a certain point we need to stop doubting dames ability to lead the team. aldridge and 3 other starters left the team, and they still made the playoffs, 4th seed. Dame asked for shooters, he got evan turner and meyers leonard. chiding him for playing hero ball on a team that desperately needs a hero is misguided imo.
