I'm already missing Chef Curry in the kitchen!

There's no real short cut, there's no real gimmick for free throws (unless you want to take Rick Barry's advise and change the mechanics of the shot entirely to a two handed shot with extremely easier fundamentals, which nobody ever does). So when I see somebody applying a short cut to the fundamentals I really have to say I have no respect for that player of the coaches around them. Karl Malone, bad free throw shooter who improved to a good not great free throw shooter and he didn't do it with a gimmick but any player who improves using a gimmick to avoid learning the known fundamentals is going to have a problem when they have to make them with the game on the line.

I get it...but let's put it into contex. He has been a victim of hackashaq the last several years. So I'm going to assume they have been tweaking and working on the fundamentals at least back to his UCON days, with terrible results. This keeps him on the floor in chrunch time. I have to see him have this success for at least an entire season. But aye for a big like him..what ever works works.

I'm with you AA. That "gimmick" may be the difference of millions of dollars next contract up cuz he will be more valuable staying on the floor late in games. So whatever works. It's a production league, not a fundamentals league. Those are a means to an end. A highly important one that everyone should be able to execute to some extent, but only because it is the most proven way to produce winning results. Not the only one.

"It's a production league, not a fundamentals league" love that!
