I love this movie more and more every time I watch it. I love historical fiction but I also love those old folk tales about fairies, they're kinda spooky but I love that stuff lol. In the non Disney tales they're not really good or bad, but generally speaking you don't wanna mess with them, they're supposedly clever little tricksters. Of course I'm sure it all comes from people eating the wrong mushrooms (or the right ones) and wandering around the woods or the desert or whatever for a couple days. Anyway the stories are interesting. I thought Pan was the Greek god (?) of mischief but wikipedia says "of the wild", but basically I think he was like a nature spirit and the ancient Greeks were kind of scared of nature, so he was kind of scary to them.
