I was a truck driver for a few years and once went to pick up a load at a slaughterhouse and rendering plant in Dodge City, Kansas, worst smell I've ever encountered. Manure nothing, I grew up near some dairies, manure is a comparatively pleasant aroma lol This movie still looks to me like what you get when a couple of horror heads who read about serial killers like Ed Gein, drop acid and write a screenplay. In the 70s it was probably terrifying and controversial, and laying the seeds for the Satanic Panic in the 80s haha That said I gotta recommend an 80s comedy somewhat related to this one, as a palate cleanser, Summer School, it's funny and has a few big references to Texas Chainsaw Massacre
