I never expected to see a reaction to this movie. I'm a fan, but I know it's a weird one. It's kind of easy to accept the idea of him regressing to a primitive man, because it's all still just meat and genetics, but when he regresses to some sort of living primordial matter/energy thing, that's kind of a leap that is neither intuitive nor easy to accept without an awful lot of additional narrative. It would have been nice if the movie had fewer extended scenes of psychedelic imagery, and instead gave us exposition that lead toward the idea of him regressing to primordial matter/energy. But, hey, it had boobies.
