Evening all, here with a mid-month status update, and a poll! So far, I've spent most of the month analyzing Sex and scientifically breaking it down into its component parts, as one does when making a porn game. To create a system for managing player-driven 'romance' scenes, I have created for myself a current list of about fifteen core positions (such as Missionary, Doggy, 69 and so on), each containing up to 6-7 different participants, and about 26 different Sex Acts (such as Blowjobs, Spanking, and Handholding). I have also begun analyzing which participants in which positions would be able to perform which acts on which other participants, in a spreadsheet I am calling the Sexcel.

With some of that established, I've also done the programming work of setting up the data structures for all these, and begun setting up the GUI and wiring up buttons and so forth (I'll save screenshots til the next SotG). The main programming work remaining is in running the scene itself, with being able to move from one position or act to another, and of course the Orgasm Mechanics, which I'll also describe more in the next SotG.

My goal right now is to get at least three main positions functional, so that I can establish the functionality in changing from one to another, and I'd probably want to get that up to at least five or so before an initial release (a few positions will require certain pieces of bondage equipment, and won't be available in the introduction in any case). More would be better of course, but each position does require a fair bit of what's essentially data entry work, as well as writing up the flavor text that would be displayed during the scene. So, I thought I might pose the question to you all in a poll: would you rather I get the basics done now for a quicker release, and fill in more positions as development continues? Or shall I implement as much as I can now so it can be largely done before moving on?

For what it's worth, assuming I get the basics done this month there's probably still at least two more months to go with setting up other minor functionality and redesigning the GUI graphics, so it's not exactly a matter of getting a demo out this month or such. In either case, your patience and support as I get the fundamentals implemented is appreciated! I'll let this poll run until the end of the month, and we'll see where we're at in a few weeks!
