Evening all, it's time for the first release of the month! And we have got...a lot. A lot of scenes, a lot of cleanup, and a bit of new art as well.

For starters, Director epilogue scenes are now complete! I've also begun a bit on the Department epilogues with the Commando department, although I did notice a bit of an oversight as I did so. The Commando Department scenes are possibly the oldest in the game, and were first written before the gender switch tag system was implemented. I did go back and add it in to some of the scenes at one point, buuut it looks like a few just fell off of the to-do list at some point and were forgotten. But no longer! No more surprise gender flips at the end of the Commando Dept plotline.

I've also been picking off a few of the items that have still been on the to-do list. A loading message now appears when starting a mission, to prevent multi-clicks from trying to start off multiple missions at once (a bit more required now since the addition of mission music has increased the load time a bit). You can now start a new game without having to completely close the game and restart it. There's also been a few bug fixes, and in particular I should probably mention that my attempted fix for the first Office upgrade in the previous release apparently made it worse, and I've done a more thorough fixing of it now.

Artwise, we have a new citizen encounter CG set, where the Overseer rescues a Vessian from a minor fire (but only inflames the fires of her passions, of course). 

Before we move on to more of the Department Epilogues, my next priority will be to get in a Specialist one, with the Sorority. You can expect to see that and a few more Department scenes in about two weeks, so something to look forward to! For now, patch notes below, game links to follow. Enjoy!

Game Functions:

  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated.
  • A loading panel will appear when launching a mission, to avoid issues with multiple clicks and for general communication.
  • Added a new 'Restart Game' option to the main quit menu, and various functionality to support restarting the game. If in a mission, you will need to exit the mission first to restart the game.

Codex Entries:

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed several typos.
  • Fixed an issue where background music would start playing early if you visited the Options screen during the introduction.
  • Fixed an issue where Vessian and Schen citizen seductions were not giving full 'gender points' towards impersonation skill. This fix should be retroactive for old saves.
  • The previous fix for the number of recruits required for the first office upgrade was only partial, the upgrade should now be fully functional again.

Known Issues:

  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.
