Let's not dwell on the conflicts within Cairo City, where a pair of master and disciple found themselves in an inevitable clash of ideologies.

Meanwhile, hundreds of kilometers away, a Decepticon hunting party had begun its grim work.

Leading the charge was Lightning, who, with his enduring supersonic cruising, was the first to arrive over the Mediterranean Sea.

An alarm blared from the radar aboard one of the escort ships on the outskirts of the Joint Fleet, anchored just over forty kilometers from the mouth of the Nile River.

"Enemy attack!"

The warning sent the Joint Fleet into immediate chaos.

This chaos revealed the current state of Europe's naval forces, with regard to both their quality and strength.

Since the end of World War II, Old Europe had enjoyed a prolonged period of peace. Even during the Cold War, when they faced the threat of the Soviet Union, the front lines were primarily defended by NATO's leader, the United States.

In comparison, the once fearsome German soldiers, who had once struck terror into the hearts of the world, had now degenerated into overweight, desk-bound warriors. Their combat prowess might not even match that of Italy, which they had once looked down upon.

The Brandenburg-class Frigate represented Germany's flagship surface combatant. It was designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare, given the ongoing presence of Soviet Union's elusive nuclear submarines in the North Atlantic Ocean at the time of its conception. However, due to some technological support from the United States, its anti-air capabilities were also formidable.

Unfortunately, their combat experience and crisis management skills were sorely lacking. After all, they were a defeated nation from World War II, and their defense and military systems had been severely neutered.

So, when the alarm rang out and they noticed several aircraft resembling alien Transformers approaching their formation, especially when the German Brandenburg-class Frigate found itself directly in the line of fire, the crew onboard, from the captain to the communications officer, were all in a state of panic.

"Enemy attack! Possible alien Transformers approaching! Prepare anti-air defenses!"

"Loading anti-air missiles!"

"Activate data link sharing!"

The sailors on the German frigate executed these commands with a level of efficiency and coordination that made nearby Italian warships look superior. Despite Italy's own conflicts and skirmishes over its former African colonies after World War II, they had never let down their guard and maintained a robust military posture. Italy was one of the few European countries with aircraft carriers.

In contrast, the Anglo-French alliance fared much better. Spain, a traditional naval power in Europe, had weathered World War II relatively smoothly and, combined with its historical legacy, consistently ranked among the top four naval forces in Europe, often surpassing Italy.

As for the Anglo-French alliance, both nations had a long history of naval power, and despite their own domestic challenges, they had extensive combat experience.

However, their adversary was the Decepticons.

Lightning led the charge and was the first to close in on the Joint Fleet. When a dozen or so anti-air missiles locked onto him simultaneously and began tracking his movements, a smug smile appeared on the virtual projection of Lightning's pilot inside the cockpit of his F-22 Fighter Jet.

"Let's make this boring fight quick, shall we?"

After issuing the command to his fellow Decepticons, Lightning's transformed F-22 fighter jet accelerated even further. Already cruising at supersonic speeds, he quickly exceeded Mach 4, leaving the anti-air missiles launched by the Joint Fleet far behind.

"Damn... they're too fast! We can't lock onto them!"

"Help... help... we've been locked on!"

Flying high above the Joint Fleet at an altitude of five hundred to a thousand meters, Lightning had already locked onto one of the warships, but he didn't immediately unleash his onslaught.

Instead, he deftly maneuvered through the dense network of anti-air machine gun rounds, rockets, and anti-air missiles, evading every bullet with ease. The malicious Lightning brazenly intruded into the Joint Fleet's communication channel, reveling in the cries for help from humans gripped by fear.

After enjoying the spectacle for a while, Lightning's transformed F-22 Fighter Jet finally launched two missiles, targeting the two warships that had fired anti-air missiles at him. The missiles, traveling at over eight times the speed of sound, struck with pinpoint accuracy.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

With two ear-splitting explosions, one missile struck the Greece Elli-class Missile Frigate directly amidships, leaving a massive hole in its hull. Seawater rapidly flooded the frigate's compartments, forcing the surviving crew members to abandon ship as it rapidly sank.

The other warship struck by Lightning's missile was the German Brandenburg-class Frigate. Although it was larger and more advanced than the Greek Elli-class, Lightning's missile hit the deck above its magazine with precision. The explosion triggered a catastrophic detonation of the frigate's munitions, splitting the 4,500-ton escort ship into two sections and hurling them several meters apart on the surface of the sea.

There were few survivors on board, and the two sections of the shattered ship didn't remain afloat for long before sinking completely.

Despite their small numbers, the attacking Decepticons were showcasing their terrifying combat prowess, delivering a harsh lesson to the Joint Fleet.

Lightning continued to dart through the dense crossfire of anti-air machine gun rounds, rockets, and anti-air missiles, effortlessly Skydiving through the chaos. Maintaining an altitude between five hundred and a thousand meters above the Joint Fleet, he dispatched missiles one after another, each striking a warship with deadly precision.

Elegy, on the other hand, was even more audacious. This Decepticon ace pilot, upon reaching the vicinity of the Joint Fleet, immediately locked onto four warships simultaneously. After emptying his missile racks, he rapidly descended to an altitude of just two to three hundred meters above the sea.

Then, he transformed his aircraft and unleashed the firepower of two Vulcan Cannons. Elegy flew over one warship after another, mercilessly raining bullets down onto the navy personnel who were desperately trying to put out fires on their decks.

The splattering of blood slowly dissipated into the vast expanse of the ocean below.
