"So, that's it. I was wondering why the Skytiger Legion suddenly sent Vehicons to attack us. Turns out, it was all for show!" Sun Cheng realized, combining the new information he had just obtained. In an instant, the perplexities that had troubled him for days all fell into place.

Previous encounters had already informed him that the Triple Changer Lightning had arrived in the Solar System. However, even with their arrival, the Skytiger Legion's base on the Moon was still under the control of Starscream. After all, Sun Cheng knew that Megatron was now reduced to just a head.

Under Starscream's influence, and in the absence of Shockwave, Sun Cheng would never allow him to acquire a new mechanical body, not even if it were himself. This was the nature of politics—the most despicable and dirty politics.

Without Megatron's suppression, the advance team that came with Triple Changer Lightning would definitely be no match for Starscream. Therefore, the majority of Decepticons within the Solar System were now under Starscream's direct leadership.

Knowing Starscream's personality, if he were to act against them, it would undoubtedly be a decisive strike, like thunder. Sun Cheng could even imagine how Starscream might plan to invade Earth—by deploying a group of Decepticon Vehicons numbering no less than two thousand, secretly infiltrating the areas around South America. When the invasion began, these Decepticons would serve as the vanguard, causing chaos, drawing as much attention as possible, and diverting the focus away from Sun Cheng and his group.

At that moment, an overwhelming force of over five thousand Vehicon Legion Majors would launch an air raid on South America from the Moon. If Sun Cheng were the commander, he would send at least two hundred advanced warriors and one or two Digger Tigers as a counter-attack. The result would likely be the near destruction of Base Two.

In the best-case scenario, Sun Cheng and his forces would pay a painful price, almost exhausting their Earth-based resources, leaving South America in ruins, all for a Pyrrhic victory.

"So, this scale of attack is just a show put on by the Skytiger Legion for Sentinel Prime to see. Its purpose must be to push Sentinel Prime to take some action... And now, with the Decepticons suddenly attacking West Africa, it means both sides have reached some sort of consensus; the war is about to begin," Sun Cheng mused, his understanding clear.

Having reached this realization, he had no further interest in continuing any summaries or review meetings. After giving Thunder and the others a few simple instructions to address the issues they had already identified, his thoughts shifted to Africa, specifically West Africa.

Meanwhile, chaos had erupted in West Africa.

Inside a newly established temporary base deep within the West African forest, Optimus Prime, still harboring some resentment, had intended to head to South Africa to take over a well-equipped medium-sized minefield from Frenzy and use it as a foundation to rebuild the New Base. Ironhide and the others could only accompany him and wait.

On this particular day, Ironhide had just completed a patrol, clearing out some annoying animals along the way. He was about to have another talk with Optimus Prime when suddenly, it seemed as though all the creatures in the forest had been startled. Countless birds took flight into the sky, fleeing as if in a panic.

Ironhide only hesitated for a moment before realizing the problem. He instinctively activated his scanning range and, immediately alarmed, looked up at the sky. In an instant, Ironhide shouted loudly, "Sky, enemy attack!"

Above the sky, a multitude of "meteorites" with long tails descended toward the West African forest at an astonishing speed.

Ironhide's shout sent shockwaves through the Autobots below. Many Autobots who had been busy with their tasks looked up at the sky. In an instant, their faces turned pale.

"Prepare for battle!"

Optimus Prime, too, noticed the changes in the sky immediately. He reached behind his back and, in an instant, a heavy sword appeared in his hand.

Gazing at the massive meteorites about to crash from the sky, his expression turned unusually grim.

"Teacher, have you truly betrayed the Autobots and our beliefs..."

With his intelligence, Optimus Prime could deduce that these incoming "meteorites" were undoubtedly Decepticons. Not long ago, Optimus Prime's teacher, Sentinel Prime, had initiated an operation to drive out the Decepticons. Frenzy had recently handed over all the mines in Africa to him, so it was impossible for Frenzy to launch an attack on him.

The attackers must be the Skytiger Legion, but they had recently left Africa in tandem with Sentinel Prime's expulsion operation. The sudden attack on him revealed their true intentions.

Optimus Prime had led the Autobots for over a century, and as a leader, he possessed extraordinary wisdom and political sensitivity. So, in an instant, he realized that his own teacher had reached some kind of agreement with the Skytiger Legion, and he himself was part of that agreement.

"Ah!"

The frustration and anger in his heart for being betrayed by his teacher overwhelmed even the typically composed Optimus Prime. He roared angrily at the sky.

"Boom!"

A massive "meteorite" crashed down not far from him, causing an explosion that not only lifted a layer of decayed soil but also knocked down dozens of large trees. Flames generated by the atmospheric friction splashed into the surrounding forest.

Despite the perpetual moisture of the South African forest, the intense heat from the flames quickly ignited the trees, and thick smoke billowed into the sky.

"Optimus Prime!"

The "meteorite" quickly transformed within the crater, and a menacing Decepticon emerged, grinning wickedly as he charged toward Optimus Prime. He was none other than Lightning, the ground and air commander of the Skytiger Legion, a Triple Changer.

Lightning's curved blade immediately swung toward Optimus Prime, who frowned and dodged. However, Lightning was relentless, continuously firing a barrage of electromagnetic waves from the rotary laser gun in his right hand while slashing with the curved blade in his left.

In order to avoid the rotary laser gun, Optimus Prime had no choice but to engage in a head-on confrontation. This was precisely what Lightning wanted. He grinned, tightening his grip on the curved blade as he swung it at Optimus Prime's chest. Optimus Prime raised his heavy sword to block.

In that moment, Lightning grinned and uttered a few words, "Die!"

Suddenly, the sharp curved blade, made of an unknown alloy, burst into a violent azure electrical arc. Strangely, the arc seemed to possess a consciousness of its own and miraculously avoided harming its master, instead traveling along Optimus Prime's heavy sword and transferring onto his arms and chest.

Instantly, the wild azure electrical arc began to dance frenziedly on Optimus Prime's arms and chest.
