"It's quite miraculous, isn't it?"

Noticing that everyone was stunned by the skeleton behind him, seemingly forged from metal, Mather picked up a steel hammer lying nearby, its origin unknown.

He lifted the hammer and struck the skeleton hard several times.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

The crisp sound of metal clashing left no doubt that it was indeed metal, a sound only metal could produce.

What was more unbelievable was that Mather had left a deep dent in the skeleton, yet, under everyone's watchful eyes, the dent visibly disappeared.

"Even though it's not my first time witnessing this, it still feels incredible!" said a female researcher in a white lab coat, walking towards the metallic skeleton. "May I borrow the hammer?"

"Please, go ahead!"

The researcher took the hammer and struck the metal skeleton forcefully several times, producing a series of clear metallic sounds.

Only when her hands began to numb did she, panting, return the hammer to Mather.

"This is undoubtedly a metal, just not one found in our known periodic table!"

Another researcher, who had approached unnoticed, scrutinized the metallic skeleton before looking up at Major Cohen. "Major, we need more research equipment and personnel!"

"Perhaps a few paleontologists as well..." interjected the female researcher. "These metal ores resemble some prehistoric monster. I suspect they might be some kind of dinosaur, although I don't believe Earth has any metallic dinosaur skeletons. But bringing in paleontologists might help us determine the age of these ores!"

Her logic seemed sound. After a brief contemplation, Major Cohen nodded and quickly ordered a soldier nearby, "Have the transport plane bring the equipment over. Set up the communication devices ASAP. I need to coordinate further with the higher-ups!"

He then turned to Mather. "Mr. Mather, besides these, I recall you mentioned finding an item suspected to be of extraterrestrial origin?"

"Yes!" Mather nodded, took off his communicator, and after switching channels, commanded, "Bibo, bring the pillar we found in Silver River Valley the day before yesterday to the monster skeleton!"

"Okay, boss!"

After closing the communicator, Mather shrugged. "Silver River Valley is the name old John and his team coined when they first discovered this place, thinking they had found a massive silver mine."

"But these metals are much more precious than silver!" muttered a researcher discontentedly.

While they chatted, several men wearing safety helmets carried over a long, cylindrical object.

"Major, this is what we found in River Valley two days ago!"

Mather kicked the object lying on the ground and smirked. It was the discovery of this thing that forced them to contact domestic government-backed material research institutions and officially report to the government.

The object was about three meters long, irregularly cylindrical, and weighed roughly 300 kilograms. It was made of an unknown material, its outer layer resembling fiberglass.

Mather's team had initially refrained from hoarding their discovery of the miraculous metal skeleton in River Valley because testing this object inadvertently seemed to trigger some mechanism in it. Since then, the tip of the long cylindrical object had suddenly lit up with blue light, emitting strong electromagnetic waves, even burning out all electronic devices at the site.

Rushing to the scene, Mather had it thoroughly examined for a long time, only to conclude that they had no idea what it was. They began to suspect it was an extraterrestrial object.

The existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and aliens on Earth had become common knowledge since the annihilation of the United States' Second Fleet the previous year.

Consequently, the U.S. government enacted several laws, including the immediate reporting of any alien or extraterrestrial objects found by private individuals. Failure to comply could result in imprisonment or even death.

In a country that advocated abolishing capital punishment and rarely sentenced criminals to death, the mention of the death penalty in these laws underscored the government's seriousness.

Mather and his team reluctantly decided to proactively contact the government and disclose their findings, not thinking their backers, the U.S. capitalists, were philanthropists!

Several researchers quickly approached the object and began examining it. Unfortunately, due to the lack of equipment, they could only perform a basic evaluation.

"We can't confirm yet if it's an extraterrestrial object, but we can almost certainly say it's man-made. A more detailed analysis will have to wait until the equipment arrives," one researcher noted.

"No problem. I've already ordered the soldiers to bring the equipment we have. But if we need more, we'll have to wait for negotiations with the Canadian government," said Major Cohen.

Even though Great Canada was often seen as the U.S.'s backyard, they still had to give the Canadian government some courtesy. The U.S. military's plane had arrived here today only after prior notification and approval from Canada.

As orders were given, the U.S. military personnel and researchers in the River Valley of the Newfoundland province busied themselves. Unbeknownst to them, the intense electromagnetic waves emitted by the activated cylindrical object had been captured by a Decepticon base on the Moon.

In Megatron's resting room, where only a head remained, he darkened upon seeing Starscream, who hadn't appeared before him for days.

Knowing that after Lightning's arrival, he could distance himself and guard against Starscream, Megatron was aware of the scheming nature of Starscream, who had lately avoided appearing before him. However, Starscream's sudden appearance indicated something important had happened.

Although annoyed, Megatron asked, "Speak. Do you have something to report?"

"Yes, my lord," Starscream bowed deeply, keeping his head low to hide his expression from Megatron. "We've received a signal from Earth. According to the decrypted content, the device emitting the signal seems to be from the Quintesson's Planet Modification Squad!"

Upon hearing this, the sinister look on Megatron's face in the cultivation tank turned into sheer hatred.
