Above the lunar orbit, four newly added artificial satellites were circling around Earth's satellite, diligently transmitting everything they could capture back to Earth, tens of thousands of kilometers away.

Due to the ongoing battle on the far side of the Moon, no one had yet noticed the simultaneous launch of these artificial satellites into lunar orbit on the same day.

Still on the far side of the Moon, upon Optimus Prime's command, a substantial number of casualties had already occurred, and Autobots in critical condition were rapidly grouping together.

Elite Warriors like Ironhide, Drift, and Sideswipe, along with the young Autobot Leader, rallied together. They fought fiercely and started moving toward the location where the Cassettebots had reported the crashed spaceship.

Even Defensor, who had been gaining the upper hand in his battle against the mighty Hercules, paused upon receiving Optimus Prime's order.

"Now we retreat? Shouldn't we deal with this guy first?" questioned Air Raid, the vice-captain, somewhat reluctantly. He had recently knocked Hercules down with a single punch, sending him flying dozens of meters away.

Ever since the Civil War over a century ago, when the Autobots fled Cybertron Planet in defeat, Defensor's energy consumption had been terrifying. Additionally, with all five members of the Aerialbots being Elite Warriors, there was no need for them to merge in minor conflicts and battles. Thus, today's battle marked the first time they had merged into Defensor since the end of the Civil War.

Defensor, hailed as the most potent Second Generation giant Devastator, possessed formidable combat abilities, needless to say. Although Hercules could hold his own briefly, his strength, agility, and destructive power were no match for Defensor.

So, this provocation battle initiated by Hercules had the Aerialbots' small team, controlled by Defensor, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Therefore, Air Raid, the brave and skilled vice-captain, appeared somewhat displeased when the order from their Leader interrupted their battle.

Skydive, the expert in aerial combat theory, was quick to recognize the issue and earnestly advised, "Captain, we should prepare to withdraw. It looks like Leader might be facing some trouble on that Satellite. There are just too many Decepticons up there. If we delay any longer, it could become troublesome once our merged time limit expires!"

Air Raid grunted in agreement. He might be reckless, but that didn't mean he lacked intelligence.

From the moment they merged until now, they had been fighting for over two hours. Even during the Civil War, Defensor wouldn't have forcibly persisted until their mechanical bodies' separation mechanism was initiated, forcibly splitting the five Autobots apart. Because in that scenario, disengaging the merge meant that the energy within each of their Sparks was nearly depleted. Under those circumstances, encountering any sudden problems would be dangerous.

Silverbolt, apart from having a severe fear of heights, excelled in all other aspects of his abilities. This was why he was trusted and appointed as the leader of the Aerialbots team despite having such a deadly psychological disorder.

After a moment of contemplation, Silverbolt made the right decision. He raised his hand, aimed his laser particle gun at Hercules, who had just gotten back up, and fired a precise shot.

The energy blast hit Hercules accurately, causing the massive figure to stumble. A gruesome wound quickly appeared on his left side, and he fell back to the ground.

"Retreat!" Silverbolt issued the command. "Regroup with Leader and prepare to disengage the merge after regrouping!"

As the most powerful Second Generation giant Devastator, Defensor could only be kept at bay by Hercules if he fought to the death. Several minutes later, Defensor caught up with the group, following the electromagnetic spectrum emissions continuously emanating from Optimus Prime.

However, at this moment, the Autobot forces launching the assault on the Moon had dwindled to less than seventy.

There was no time for Autobots to mourn; the Decepticon Vehicons Legion was still clamped onto them like bloodthirsty wolves, exploding into combat with the Autobots, punctuated by the sound of battle explosions.

But realizing that the situation wasn't too dire, Silverbolt turned to Leader Optimus Prime and requested, "Leader, we're ready to disengage the merge. Requesting approval!"

Defensor was one of the Autobot faction's most critical combat assets, and as such, a series of strict control procedures had been in place since the era of Sentinal Prime to prevent potential defections.

Don't assume it was impossible!

During the millions of years of the Cybertron Civil War, nearly every year saw weary Decepticons defecting to the Autobot ranks.

Similarly, there were Autobots who, out of extreme fear of war, hatred for Sentinal Prime, or dread of Megatron, knelt and surrendered to the Skytiger Legion.

Optimus Prime immediately granted approval, saying, "Permission granted to disengage the merge. Cutthroat, Windstorm, you're responsible for protecting the Aerialbots!"

While autonomous disengagement allowed the Aerialbots to retain some combat capability, they would still enter a period of weakness.

During this time, the Aerialbots were more vulnerable than before, and Optimus Prime was aware of this, which was why he sent several Autobots to protect them.

The Decepticons clung tenaciously to the Autobots, chasing them for tens of kilometers before finally gradually pulling away.

Optimus Prime intentionally led them on a somewhat convoluted route because he was concerned that his intentions would become too obvious, drawing the Decepticons' attention to their true objective, which might increase vigilance around the crashed spaceship.

"Leader, it seems like the Decepticons have stopped pursuing us?" Sideswipe was the first to notice the disappearance of the Vehicons but showed no signs of relief on his face.

Having been manipulated by the Decepticons on the Moon for over a century, they had no idea what lay ahead.

Optimus Prime signaled to Drift, who understood and leaped into the air, transforming into an armed helicopter. He circled the high skies for a moment before slowly descending.

"No more Decepticons chasing us. It appears they've called off the pursuit!" Drift reported.

"This is strange!" Sideswipe cautioned. "Perhaps there's an ambush on the spaceship side!"

Ironhide looked at Optimus Prime. "Leader, how's the situation with the Cassettebots?"

Optimus Prime, still frowning in thought, answered his question. "Cassette Legion encountered only a few Decepticon guards near the spaceship. It seems the Decepticons aren't placing a high priority on that crashed spaceship; they've diverted the guards!"

He had a vague sense that something might be amiss on the spaceship side.

After considering it for a moment, he issued an order to Drift.

"Drift, head to the spaceship and investigate if there's an ambush. Report back to me promptly!"

"Leave it to me, Leader!" Drift replied before flying back into the high skies, quickly disappearing from view.

Optimus Prime cast a distant glance at Drift, then ordered the Autobots behind him, "Let's pick up the pace. Regardless of whether there's an ambush or not, we need to go through with this journey!"
