It was still the dark side of the Moon, still that war-torn region.

At the command of Optimus Prime, the Aerialbots combined to form the colossal Devastator-Defensor.

After a dazzling burst of light, a towering figure, over forty-five meters tall, appeared on the battlefield.

Devastator-Defensor, comprised of Aerialbots' leader, Silverbolt, as the core, Slingshot as the right arm, Fireflight as the left arm, Skydive as the right leg, and Air Raid as the left leg, formed a fearsome war machine.

It was armed with a laser particle cannon capable of effortlessly destroying the defenses of all known Decepticon military fortresses. It possessed energy particle armor that could be summoned at will, offering formidable defense against nuclear weapon explosions.

When Defensor appeared on the scene, the tide of battle immediately shifted.

Slingshot aimed the laser particle cannon at a Decepticon outpost over a hundred meters away and fired.

With a thunderous explosion, a crater several dozen meters deep appeared on the Moon's surface. Over a dozen Decepticon Vehicons hiding inside were reduced to mere debris, utterly powerless.

In the sky above, with the Aerialbots no longer restraining them, the Decepticon aircraft began relentlessly concentrating their firepower on the Autobots below.

They paid little heed to the Autobots on the ground, and the Vehicons entangled with the Autobots were frequently caught in the crossfire.

Defensor noticed this and raised his right hand to fire the laser particle cannon at the Decepticon aircraft in the sky. At the same time, he lifted his left arm, revealing a circle of closely packed missiles.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."

With a series of whistles, the fired missiles rapidly struck several Decepticon aircraft in the sky, downing more than a dozen in a very short time.

However, it did not change the overall situation.

Optimus Prime had no choice but to establish a direct link with Defensor's communication channel and issued orders, "Defensor, don't be bogged down by those Decepticon aircraft. You're the tip of the spear; charge straight into the Decepticons' encirclement. Your target is their Moon Base!"

"Understood!"

After a brief acknowledgment, Defensor activated his energy particle armor and sprinted towards the area on the battlefield where Vehicons were gathering the most, launching Ramjet.

The appearance of this massive figure caused some confusion among the Vehicons.

Countless bullets poured towards Defensor, but whether it was solid metal or energy projectiles, when they hit Defensor's mechanical body, they only caused ripples in the energy particle armor covering him, like waves on water.

"You're as insignificant as insects!" Fireflight's voice sneered as he deflected the damage with the energy particle armor.

Each of the five members of the Aerialbots had their own serious character flaws.

Captain Silverbolt was a recognized brave, stern, and resolute warrior. However, as the commander of the most important Aerial Combat unit among the Autobots, he suffered from severe acrophobia, which had caused problems in past battles.

Deputy Captain Air Raid was a brave and valiant warrior, but recklessness was his greatest weakness. In the past, due to his rashness, the Aerialbots had been surrounded by the Decepticon air force and engaged in fierce battles multiple times. Air Raid always feared that too much thought would make him a burden to his comrades, so he tended to act before thinking.

Second-in-command Fireflight had a highly erratic thought process, often leading to lapses in his attention on the battlefield. He posed an equal danger to Decepticons and Autobots alike. In his jet mode, his primary weapon was a missile that exploded into a highly flammable mist, causing extensive damage with its intense heat. In combat mode, Fireflight's weapon, the Photon Distorter Gun, could distort light waves effectively rendering targets blind for approximately five Earth minutes. His greatest achievement was downing eleven Decepticon aircraft in a single battle while causing seven Autobot comrades to be injured.

Skydive frequently teamed up with Deputy Captain Air Raid, despite their radically different personalities.

Skydive had a penchant for contemplating and studying various aerial combat theories. Occasionally, he would personally validate his perilous theories, resulting in injuries in the test field that far exceeded those he incurred on the battlefield.

Slingshot, on the other hand, was the least popular member among the Aerialbots. He was boastful, often using self-aggrandizing tales of his achievements to mask his own lack of confidence and insecurity.

Because he was so detested, Autobot support teams would frequently concoct excuses to avoid deploying when they heard that Slingshot was the target in need of rescue.

"Don't waste time; our combined time is limited," Sliverbolt, the captain, urged. Despite his severe acrophobia, his exceptional military acumen allowed him to clearly discern what needed to be done at the moment.

Following his command, Defensor surged forward like a liberated war machine, relentlessly assaulting the Decepticon defense line.

The dark side of the Moon had been under Starscream's control for centuries. On this vast lunar terrain, he had erected concealed outposts, deploying a significant number of Vehicons and Decepticon aircraft within them.

This was why the Autobots had encountered Decepticon patrol units and their covert operations had been exposed soon after they entered the dark side.

The outposts encircled the Moon Base, forming concentric circular defensive lines. These lines provided robust protection to Starscream's Moon Base, which was established right in the center, relying on Megatron's Retribution Number Spaceship.

Defensor and his team were now assaulting the Decepticon outposts, specifically blocking the Autobots from reaching one of the outposts.

Once again, he raised his laser particle cannon and aimed it at another outpost several hundred meters away. After the explosive roar, another man-made crater appeared on the Moon's surface.

In the direction of that outpost, the Decepticon Vehicons, having lost two outposts they could rely on for fire support, exposed a vulnerability in the Autobot defense line.

Autobot warriors shouted in excitement and concentrated their efforts to break through the gap, attempting to defeat the Decepticon Vehicons, who outnumbered them nearly tenfold.

Defensor naturally led the charge, moving the fastest.

With limited combined time, they needed to make as significant a contribution as possible during their fusion.

The laser particle cannon kept firing, and to conserve energy, Defensor also began using punches and kicks when approaching the Decepticons.

"Boom!"

With a resounding punch, one Decepticon was sent flying into the air, tracing a parabolic arc before crashing down on a battlefield over a hundred meters away, scattering metal fragments and skeletal remains in all directions.

"Autobots, Ramjet!"

Defensor, looking ferocious as he looked down upon the thoroughly defeated Vehicons, observed as small groups of Decepticons began to flee, heading for the distance. A proud smile crossed his face.

But before the smile could last three seconds, a wave of intense and familiar vibrations filled Defensor with disgust.

"Hercules!"

Frowning, he glanced in the direction of the distant roar, about two kilometers to the southwest. Defensor knew that it was Hercules challenging him.

Without hesitation, Defensor began striding purposefully toward the southwest direction.
