The dark side of the Moon, a place forever hidden from direct observation by Earth.

At this very moment, on the dark side of the Moon, two races born from distant star systems, both located four light-years away—Cybertronians, sharing a common origin as Decepticons and Autobots, continued their ceaseless war, spanning millions of years.

"Bang, clang, clang!"

Explosions reverberated, accompanied by the clash of metallic blades. Optimus Prime stood within a crater, gazing solemnly at the ongoing battle several kilometers away.

"The battle has reached a stalemate!"

Several months ago, Optimus Prime had received information from Decepticon Frenzy that his predecessor, the former Autobot leader, and his own mentor, Sentinel Prime, had crashed his spaceship on the Moon. He was likely not dead but had fallen into a coma due to severe injuries, eventually falling under Decepticon control.

In response, Optimus Prime dispatched his elite operative, Bumblebee, to infiltrate the Moon to confirm Sentinel Prime's presence and condition. However, after Bumblebee's initial communication upon reaching the Moon, all contact had been lost.

As the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime had been eager to lead his forces to the Moon months ago. However, he had his reservations. Earth was not their homeworld; it harbored unique carbon-based life forms and indigenous civilizations. Whether it was the Autobots or the Decepticons, they were seen as extraterrestrial invaders by the people of Earth.

Optimus Prime had experienced this firsthand through his previous interactions with the United States. Despite his goodwill and desire to cooperate with the most powerful nation on Earth, the United States harbored deep-seated hostility towards them. Under the influence of this animosity, Optimus Prime's attempts at cooperation had been disappointing.

Apart from the potential threat posed by humans, there was also the uncertainty surrounding Decepticon Frenzy and his influence, which made Optimus Prime apprehensive.

Under the influence of the Leadership Module, Optimus Prime had awakened memories of his previous life as Orion Pax. These two lifetimes had given him a deeper understanding of the evil and cunning nature of the Decepticons. While his previous encounters with Frenzy had shown a different side of him compared to his past perceptions, both parties remained cautious of each other.

During the inauguration ceremony of the new Iron Fortress city on Earth, Optimus Prime had even extended an invitation to Frenzy. However, behind the scenes, they both understood that they were each wary of the other. The establishment of the new Iron Fortress city on Earth had consequently become less secure.

Optimus Prime had carefully considered his decision to take action on the Moon this time. He assumed the role of the supreme commander, leading over a hundred Autobot warriors, along with the recently arrived Aerialbots, in a covert assault on Earth. Recognizing that there were still many Autobot civilians in the new Iron Fortress city, he entrusted Arcee and her sisters with a team of warriors to remain behind, guarding against potential attacks.

Despite their elite forces, Optimus Prime and his team had underestimated the Moon's defenses. Starscream, who had arrived in the Solar System in pursuit of Megatron, had spent over a century building his presence on the Moon, particularly the dark side, which he had transformed into an almost impenetrable fortress.

Optimus Prime and his team had just arrived on the Moon when, shortly after entering the dark side of the Moon, they encountered a patrol of Decepticons. What ensued was a sudden outbreak of battle, rapidly escalating into a small-scale war.

Several kilometers away in the sky above the dark side of the Moon, Decepticon standard-issue fighter jets provided substantial firepower support for the Vehicons engaged in combat with Autobots on the ground. These aircraft were a unique type of vehicle distinct from Earth's human-made fighter jets. They possessed superior maneuverability and firepower and were rumored to have been invented by Decepticon's renowned scientist Shockwave during the Civil War.

Sun Cheng, if present, would undoubtedly recognize them. These were the prototypes of the Aerial Combat Robots he had designed, the same aircraft equipped by the Skytiger Legion.

Among the Autobot warriors brought by Optimus Prime, only the Aerialbots and the Triple Changer Drift possessed Aerial Combat capabilities. While each of them had the ability to deal with Decepticon aircraft in the skies, their numbers were overwhelmed. Looking out, the sky was filled with a dense swarm of Decepticon aircraft—conservatively estimated to be over three hundred—engaging the Aerialbots and providing firepower support to the Decepticon Vehicons on the ground.

The Aerialbots continued to fight valiantly, but their adversaries outnumbered them significantly. The number of Vehicons engaging Autobots on the ground was even more staggering, and this battle had been ongoing for the past two days. In that time, Autobots had managed to eliminate at least five hundred Decepticons, yet there seemed to be an unending supply of Decepticon Vehicons emerging from Decepticon guard posts that resembled watchtowers.

Optimus Prime was now regretting his lack of foresight. Earth's satellite had effectively become Decepticon territory, and what was initially planned as a surprise assault had inevitably transformed into a full-fledged war.

"Leader, we have more injured coming in!" Ratchet, accompanied by several Autobot warriors with severe, yet untreated injuries, rushed to deliver the critically wounded Autobot soldiers.

Optimus Prime nodded slightly and retrieved his now-dimmed [Leadership Module] from his chest, beginning to administer medical aid to the wounded Autobots.

The battle had reached an unexpected stalemate. Previously, Optimus Prime had attempted to use his formidable combat prowess to forcefully break through the Decepticon encirclement and reach their base. However, the Decepticon commander on the other side had immediately deployed more forces to block his advance. Simultaneously, the Decepticons began ruthlessly targeting and killing Autobot warriors, forcing Optimus Prime to halt his progress. With his formidable combat abilities, he had to protect the wounded and resurrect fallen soldiers.

After several such cycles, the battle had reached a standstill. Despite being the Autobot side's most powerful combatant, Optimus Prime found himself retreating to a relatively safe position to tend to the wounded and even resurrect the deceased. The Autobots were unable to break through the relentless Decepticon defensive line, composed of soldiers who disregarded their own lives, while the Decepticons surrounding them lacked the elite combat power necessary to eliminate this Autobot force entirely.
