Soundwave was one of the senior members who followed Megatron from the very inception of the Skytiger Legion. His unwavering loyalty to Megatron ensured that he enjoyed a wealth of resources within the Legion, second only to Shockwave and Starscream.

Although Soundwave was not skilled in combat and rarely engaged directly in frontline battles, he led the Cassette Legion, which consistently operated on the most dangerous fronts.

During the first Civil War, when facing the formidable Autobot Leader, Sentinel Prime, even Megatron, who had always been extremely confident in his own combat abilities, needed the cooperation of his subordinates, including Shockwave, to confront Sentinel Prime head-on.

It is evident that before Sentinel Prime had a change of heart, the risks Soundwave and his Cassette Legion took to acquire crucial military intelligence from the Autobots or to assassinate Autobot scientists and high-ranking officers were substantial.

Frenzy, who had been possessed by Sun Cheng, was not among the initial elite agents to join the Cassette Legion. Before their recruitment, the Cassette Legion had already sacrificed numerous batches of exceptional warriors. At that time, the awakening technology for resurrecting crucial combatants in the Skytiger Legion was not yet mature. Additionally, the destruction caused by the weapons used during the first Cybertron Civil War far exceeded that of the second Civil War. Consequently, many fallen Decepticons and Autobot elites had no chance of being revived through awakening.

If Sun Cheng hadn't killed Soundwave earlier and meticulously reviewed his memories during this time, he might have missed out on a significant portion of Cybertron's history that had been erased from the annals.

After the failure of the first rebellion, Starscream secretly established an intelligence agency known as the Spider's Web. He continued to plot another uprising against Megatron with unwavering determination, but Starscream's downfall lay in his excessive self-assuredness. Perhaps Starscream had always been aware that Megatron and the others did not fully trust him and were on guard against his potential betrayal. However, he arrogantly believed that he had everything figured out, failing to recognize that Megatron, Shockwave, and Soundwave, the three Decepticon titans, were all formidable adversaries.

Megatron had never completely trusted Starscream after his previous betrayals, even though he needed Starscream's technological expertise and power to help him deal with Sentinel Prime. Shockwave remained indifferent to everything, loyal to Megatron, and ready to eliminate any possible threats to him and the Skytiger Legion. As for Soundwave, he had realized that he and Starscream were in an endless conflict since the first rebellion, which culminated in Megatron eventually pardoning Starscream. This naturally made Soundwave cautious of potential retaliation from him.

Starscream believed that his Spider's Web was well hidden, unaware that Soundwave had gotten wind of it shortly after its formation. Spider's Web was ultimately dismantled by Soundwave, leading the Cassette Legion, using Thunder as a means, to eliminate it. Afterward, Starscream couldn't retaliate because Soundwave had acted under the pretext of apprehending Autobot spies before Spider's Web had fully taken shape.

However, seeing Chameleon as Sun Cheng did now, it was highly likely that the Spider's Web, which Soundwave had once eliminated, still existed. Chameleon's presence at least confirmed one thing: Starscream had never abandoned his ambition to establish his own intelligence organization and continued his clandestine activities.

Sun Cheng arrived at the conference room earlier than Dylan Good and the others. Taking advantage of their delayed arrival, he quickly reviewed the information about Spider's Web and Chameleon from Soundwave's memories before deep in thought.

"Terindad Island had already been exposed when Soundwave was being hunted down. Starscream must have known about this place. But if he wanted to meet me, why did he go through Dylan Good in such a roundabout way? Does he really think that Chameleon can hide from my eyes?"

Chameleon was once a member of Spider's Web, an intelligence organization founded by Starscream. It originated from an unknown race on Cybertron.

Cybertron is a colossal planet over 800 times the size of Earth, unique for nurturing silicon-based lifeforms. During the era when it was colonized by the Quintessons, masters of sinister alterations, Cybertron was inhabited not only by the Cybertronians but also by numerous other races. Until the time of the Council of Primes, thousands of peculiar metallic creatures on Cybertron still posed threats to the Cybertronians, with Giant Fierce Beasts and Predacons being the most famous among them.

Not all Decepticons or Autobots had the potential to become spies. The members of the Cassette Legion and Spider's Web were few in number.

Before Soundwave's eradication, Spider's Web had only four members, none of whom were Decepticons. They hailed from obscure races even Soundwave struggled to name.

Chameleon was one of the four members of Spider's Web. Despite its name containing "dragon," it had no connection to dragons or even lizards. Its form somewhat resembled Earth's arthropod animal known as a "centipede." Due to its strong adaptability to terrain, even elite warriors could be deceived by it, giving rise to the name Chameleon.

The sudden exposure of such a skilled intelligence gatherer as Chameleon by Starscream left Sun Cheng puzzled. After Soundwave's demise, his remains had fallen into Sun Cheng's hands. Given Starscream's intelligence, he could never have believed that Sun Cheng wouldn't investigate the secrets contained in Soundwave's memories.

"So, what's the reason behind all this?" Sun Cheng furrowed his brow, growing more perplexed. His super hearing soon caught the approaching footsteps in the corridor outside the meeting room.

Putting aside his inconclusive speculations, he settled seriously into a metal chair specially designed for Decepticons within the spacious meeting room. This room, usually used for negotiations between Forerunners and human nations and factions, was well-equipped, including chairs suitable for Decepticons.

"Knock, knock!" Two knocks on the door, and Dylan Good entered the meeting room alone.

"Lord Frenzy, my apologies for the intrusion," he said, seeming somewhat apprehensive. His lips twitched slightly.

"Mr. Dylan Good, although our life forms differ, I understand the concept of the world's richest person. However, I must reiterate that being the world's richest person doesn't grant you the authority to represent the United States. I'm curious, what business do you want to discuss with me?"

Dylan Good seemed momentarily taken aback but didn't show any embarrassment on his face.

Just as Sun Cheng was wondering how Dylan Good planned to convince him, he noticed that Dylan Good seemed to relax and unabashedly looked at the watch on his left wrist.

"Chameleon, I have met Lord Frenzy as requested. I suppose there's nothing more for me to do."

Huh?

Sun Cheng's mind was now filled with numerous question marks. He suddenly had the feeling that he had been engaged in a battle of wits with thin air for quite some time.
