"Recently, our Autobot team is considering another expedition to the moon. Would you like to join us, Your Excellency?"

Optimus Prime had the idea of bringing Sun Cheng along for a lunar exploration.

Sun Cheng was indeed intrigued by the proposition.

He had cooperated smoothly with Starscream several times, and even Soundwave and Astrotrain had fallen victim to their partnership.

However, when it came to Starscream, Sun Cheng had no trust whatsoever, only apprehension.

This was someone who didn't need allies and constantly schemed and plotted.

Over a month ago, during the operation against Soundwave, Astrotrain, who was supposed to be diverted by Starscream and head to the Asteroid Belt, suddenly appeared on Terindad Island. If Sun Cheng hadn't been vigilant early on and brought the Autobots along, the outcome might have been Starscream successfully luring him, Soundwave, and Astrotrain into a trap.

Having such a cunning rogue around who could plot against him at any moment, Sun Cheng truly found it difficult to sleep at night.

However, despite his inner turmoil, after some careful consideration, he suppressed his impulse and patiently tried to persuade Optimus Prime.

"Your Excellency, now is not the time! As far as I know, Lord Fallen's resting place is on the moon. Megatron and Starscream came to Earth just shortly after the Cybertron Civil War ended over a century ago. Megatron's Retribution Number is likely on the moon as well, and the Decepticon base on the moon has probably been in existence for nearly a century."

"Forgive me for being frank, but with our current manpower, a direct assault on the moon will only result in heavy casualties! On the Autobot side, we have you and the Leadership Module, which can quickly recover from casualties if they occur. However, I do not possess such a module, and my warriors are only just beginning to replace their mechanical bodies. It will likely take at least three to four months for all of them to complete the transition. As for my own new mechanical body, it may take around a year."

Optimus Prime furrowed his brow, acknowledging that Sun Cheng had a point.

However, the fact that his mentor, Sentinel Prime, and his deputy, Bumblebee, were likely in the hands of the Decepticons made it impossible for him to remain calm.

After a moment of silence, he sighed and redirected the conversation to another topic.

He mentioned the inauguration ceremony for the new Iron Fortress City, which was essentially an opportunity for Optimus Prime to gather the Autobots who had already arrived on Earth in the Council Hall and deliver a rousing speech.

Sun Cheng and his group were invited guests, sitting on one side of the Council Hall, listening to the entire speech.

During this time, at least dozens of hostile and malicious glances were directed at them.

Sun Cheng was unfazed, well aware of the deep-seated hatred between the Decepticons and Autobots, choosing to pretend not to notice.

Thunder and Hynix, on the other hand, were visibly affected, especially Hynix.

Born on Earth and having never experienced the Cybertron Civil War, this Decepticon's animosity towards the Autobots seemed rather inexplicable.

The speech didn't last too long, and after the announcement, Autobots held a rather grand celebration.

Sun Cheng did not participate, as his Decepticon identity made him feel somewhat uncomfortable in the new Iron Fortress City.

Originally, he had considered taking the opportunity to talk to Optimus Prime and exchange a few units of Leadership Module energy. However, because he couldn't provide detailed information about the moon and had also declined Optimus Prime's proposal to jointly explore it, he had to shelve that idea for the time being.

After the inauguration ceremony, Sun Cheng and his team stayed in the new Iron Fortress City for a few hours before choosing to return to Terindad Island.

"Base Two, operate at full capacity. We don't have much time left!"

As soon as they returned to Terindad Island, Sun Cheng didn't linger on the island for long and promptly returned to Base Two.

The brief visit to the new Iron Fortress City had just started to ease the sense of crisis that had been haunting him for over a month, but it came rushing back. Sun Cheng had a feeling that he should prepare for the worst.

After a year and a half of expansion in South America, Base Two had covertly gained control over several countries.

Whether it was the Decepticon Constructicons or various robots driven by them, they possessed physical qualities far beyond humans. As a result, the mineral resources buried in remote valleys, isolated areas, and complex environments in South America had been vigorously exploited.

Almost every day, tens of thousands of tons of various minerals were excavated, sent to dozens of sub-bases controlled by Base Two, smelted into components, and then transported back to Base Two's headquarters to be transformed into various mechanical devices, and even robots, through various assembly lines.

After Sun Cheng gave the order for Base Two to operate at full capacity, his more than twenty Decepticon engineers, over three hundred Constructicons, and a total workforce exceeding one hundred thousand industrial robots all sprang into action as if a switch had been flipped.

Currently, Base Two was simultaneously engaged in four major projects: "Universal Promotion," "New Mechanical Body," "Mars Exploration Project," and "Vehicon Cultivation."

Among them, "Universal Promotion" included the promotion of Constructicons and the construction of mechanical bodies for Sun Cheng's batch of warriors, which was considered the least challenging project.

The "New Mechanical Body" was listed separately because it was a new mechanical body that Sun Cheng was preparing for himself. Unsatisfied with his current power, he designed the new mechanical body to meet Leader-level standards, which meant astronomical levels of difficulty and the consumption of various rare metals, likely enough to promote all his warriors.

The "Mars Exploration Project" aimed to establish a new base on Mars as soon as possible. The first phase included the construction of small experimental spaceships and the expansion of robots, which were currently progressing in an orderly manner. The second phase involved building Explorer-class spaceships and the Mars base, which had only just begun, with Decepticon engineers digesting the data for the Explorer-class spaceship, and preparations for the spaceship were just getting underway.

Of these three major projects, although Base Two encountered various difficulties, they were still proceeding in an orderly fashion.

However, the fourth major project, "Vehicon Cultivation," had been fraught with difficulties from the very beginning and had gotten off to an extremely rocky start.

Vehicons could be considered a powerful weapon for the Skytiger Legion to win the Civil War against the Autobots. Although they were often treated as cannon fodder on the battlefield by the senior commanders of the Skytiger Legion, they had become a critical solution to the problem of insufficient forces for both the Decepticons and Autobots as the millions of years of Civil War continued into its middle stages.
