Sideswipe hesitated for only a moment, then nodded and transformed back into a silver car, speeding after Bumblebee and the others.

He understood Ironhide's intention. The Decepticons would be held off by the slower and bulkier warriors like them, while the faster ones needed to rush back to the base to rescue Optimus Prime.

"Don't even think about escaping!"

Leadfoot jumped up, about to chase after Sideswipe, but Ironhide raised a massive grenade launcher and aimed it squarely at Leadfoot's chest, firing a precise shot that hit its mark. Leadfoot screamed and was sent flying.

"Teacher..."

Shake, who was battered and bruised, took advantage of the situation to slip away. After being hit by Astrotrain earlier, he had been pursued by Leadfoot.

With his left leg and left arm's electronic components burnt out due to Astrotrain's weapon, Shake had lost half of his body's functionality.

Several Decepticon cannon fodder members who couldn't reach Drift in mid-air saw Ironhide and immediately rushed towards him.

"Ironhide!"

Astrotrain bellowed, and his back writhed for a moment.

He reached behind and pulled out two alloy columns that looked like drive shafts. As he connected them, they formed an alloy staff, which he swung towards Ironhide.

Autobot Scrane charged forward and collided with Astrotrain.

"Bang!"

However, he screamed in agony, and his right arm visibly sagged.

Despite Crane and Astrotrain being roughly the same height, their weight class was on a completely different level. Both transformed into locomotive forms, but Crane was just a crane, while Astrotrain was a triple-changer with a mechanical body that was far more robust.

"You underestimate me!"

Astrotrain sneered as he swung the alloy staff at Crane, smashing the Autobot's head and sending sparks flying. The sharp, metallic cracking sound was ear-piercing, and numerous metal fragments flew off Crane's head upon impact.

Crane screamed and collapsed on the ground, unconscious.

"Crane!" Ironhide was momentarily distracted and took a shot from a Decepticon cannon fodder in the back.

"Damn Decepticon scum!"

Frustrated, Ironhide turned and obliterated the Decepticon with a shot to the head, then found himself facing the incoming alloy staff.

Ironhide instinctively raised his arm to block it, but the alloy staff hit with a sharp metallic crunch.

His right arm was instantly bent at a ninety-degree angle.

Ironhide stumbled, but his years of combat experience allowed him to make the right move when he realized there was no way to avoid it.

"Bang!"

With his grenade launcher in his left hand, he aimed it at Astrotrain's chest, just slightly slower than Astrotrain, and fired a point-blank grenade that hit Astrotrain's chest. Astrotrain was blasted back several steps before regaining his balance.

Autobot Breakdown had arrived on the scene and saw Crane's recent ordeal. He quickly transformed into an armored vehicle, and the anti-tank missile launcher on his vehicle mode's roof opened, launching four missiles in rapid succession, all of which struck Astrotrain, who had no room to evade.

The shockwaves from the missile explosions, even though most of them caused only minor injuries to Astrotrain, began to add up. Before long, Astrotrain couldn't take it anymore.

"You cowardly fools..."

He roared furiously, and after forcing Ironhide to jump back, Astrotrain leaped up a few times and disappeared into the mountains.

"Phew..."

Ironhide breathed a sigh of relief. Faced with someone like Astrotrain, who had a durable mechanical body and incredible strength, normal warriors didn't stand much of a chance. Only Autobots with heavy firepower had a shot at defeating him.

Astrotrain was a formidable Decepticon, fittingly serving as one of Shockwave's top subordinates. Nobody knew how many times that Decepticon scientist had modified Astrotrain's mechanical body.

Even for a weapons expert like Ironhide, Astrotrain was a headache to deal with.

Seeing Astrotrain voluntarily retreating, Ironhide holstered his weapons.

But he couldn't forget about Bumblebee and the others. He had just received an urgent communication from Claudia, who had left not long ago.

"Hurry and come support us... Lord Fallen is here..."

As soon as he saw his girlfriend's message, Ironhide's face darkened.

"Drift, Shake, Breakdown, the three of you must go support Bumblebee and the others. Lord Fallen is over there..."

Drift didn't hesitate at all and immediately flew into the sky, heading towards Bumblebee and the others.

Shake hesitated for a moment but ultimately didn't say anything. He transformed into a smoking blue car, his left side still emitting smoke, and left the battlefield.

Breakdown, on the other hand, reverted to his combat form and approached Ironhide. "Commander, if I leave too, what will happen here..."

He looked at Ironhide's injured right arm, and Ironhide's gaze shifted to Crane, who was still unconscious.

He couldn't leave yet, at least until Crane woke up.

Shaking his head, Ironhide ordered sternly, "Immediately go support Bumblebee and the others. Protecting the Leadership Module is our top priority. Go quickly..."

Breakdown hesitated for a moment but nodded. He transformed back into his armored vehicle form and sped off in the direction of Bumblebee.

Most of the Majors had withdrawn, leaving only Autobot Backfire, Crane, and the three of them here.

Leadfoot had already disappeared, and Drift and the others had taken care of most of the Decepticon cannon fodder on this side of the battlefield before leaving.

Astrotrain looked at Ironhide with an unfriendly expression. There were several cracks in the armor of his mechanical body, clearly indicating that the four missiles from Breakdown had inflicted significant damage.

"Commander, let Crane and me hold them off. You go protect the Leadership Module!"

Autobot Backfire was a silent warrior. He transformed into a military-grade Hummer all-terrain vehicle and was one of Ironhide's old subordinates. That was why Ironhide had kept him behind to help with the rearguard action.

After saying that, he grabbed a heavy machine gun and opened fire on Astrotrain.

Crane had regained consciousness after being unconscious for a while.

Rubbing his head, he looked at Ironhide with a hint of embarrassment. "I'm sorry, Commander!"

"Prepare for battle, soldier!"

Ironhide didn't dwell on Crane's earlier recklessness. After all, he had acted out of concern for Ironhide's safety.

Facing the combined assault of the three Autobots, with one of them being the commander equipped with a large number of weapons, Astrotrain, despite his unique mechanical body, couldn't get close to engage in melee combat. Instead, he had to endure their relentless ranged attacks.

Grenades and machine gun bullets continued to land on Astrotrain's body. While most of them only caused minor injuries individually, their cumulative effect took a toll on him.

"You cowardly fools..."

He roared in anger, and after a shot from Ironhide forced him to jump back, Astrotrain leaped up several times and disappeared into the mountains.

After uttering those words, Backfire picked up a heavy machine gun and began firing at Astrotrain.

Ironhide exhaled deeply. He still had Bumblebee and the others on his mind, so without hesitation, he said, "We need to hurry and support Bumblebee and the others. Let's go..."

With that, he transformed into a heavily damaged pickup truck with cracks along his right side and sped off in the direction where Bumblebee and the others had gone.
