No one could have anticipated that a decisive battle between the Autobots and Decepticons, which had been going on for millions of years, would occur on Earth, millions of light-years away from Cybertron Planet. What's more surprising is that the first shot of this battle was fired not by the Autobots or Decepticons but by the United States military.

In the skies above southern Jordan, a RQ-4 Global Hawk was circling over the Petra Mountains. This particular unmanned reconnaissance aircraft had been modified by Sector Seven. Its ISS (sensory module) was different from the standard Global Hawk, equipped with a specialized detection system designed to detect unique electromagnetic and energy reactions.

Three days ago, an elite reconnaissance team dispatched from the Special Operations Command in Qatar had infiltrated the Petra Mountains of Jordan but had gone completely silent shortly after their insertion.

The last distress signal from the reconnaissance team indicated that they had encountered a Decepticon squad. A US military satellite had later captured images of the deceased US soldiers, but due to concerns about the presence of Decepticons in the area, the retrieval of the bodies of the fallen soldiers had been halted by authorities in Qatar.

Ultimately, it was the Jordanian authorities who discovered and recovered the bodies, subsequently transferring them to the stationed US military.

After the Sound Nest unit had completed its rest and was deployed to the Tabuk Air Base in Saudi Arabia, and with Major of the Fifth Fleet leading their entry into the Red Sea, the entire territory of Jordan had fallen within the attack range of the US military.

It was only then that a specialized Global Hawk, once part of the Sound Nest equipment, took off from the Tabuk Air Base and entered Jordan's Petra Mountains to conduct a detailed reconnaissance of the area.

The reason for not using a satellite was not due to a lack of desire but rather a result of The Pentagon's realization that their communication satellites could potentially be compromised. If communication satellites could be hijacked, military satellites were equally vulnerable.

In fact, their suspicions were correct. Soundwave was currently controlling one of the US military's space-based surveillance satellites, continuously collecting various types of intelligence.

Sound Nest's reactivation and deployment to the Tabuk Air Base in Saudi Arabia, along with the Fifth Fleet's Major setting sail for the Red Sea, were all known to him. He easily filtered out this information from the vast amount of data he monitored about the United States.

The Global Hawk that took off from the Tabuk Air Base was naturally under Soundwave's surveillance.

"...Lazerbeak, take care of it!"

Starscream had already reported the situation to Lord Fallen. While Soundwave knew that Starscream had likely concealed this information for about three days, he was not foolish enough to report it to Lord Fallen; his loyalty lay with Megatron.

Seeing that Lord Fallen had not immediately ordered Starscream to construct a new mechanical body for Megatron and reawaken the commander of the Skytiger Legion after they had brought Megatron's head back, but had instead ordered all Decepticons to continue searching for the Leadership Module and Optimus Prime, it was evident that the entire Skytiger Legion was merely a useful tool for Lord Fallen.

Lazerbeak had been hovering over the Petra Mountains, observing and monitoring Baricade and the others. Upon hearing the command, he promptly responded, "As you wish, my master!"

He spread his wings and took off from a mountain peak near the Nameless Temple, rapidly ascending towards the Global Hawk flying at an altitude of ten kilometers.

The specialized reconnaissance equipment mounted on this Global Hawk quickly detected Lazerbeak's unique energy and electromagnetic signatures.

Simultaneously, at a base hundreds of kilometers away, alarms began to sound. "Warning... Warning... Global Hawk has detected special energy and electromagnetic reactions. Suspected Decepticon is rapidly approaching the Global Hawk..."

Colonel Williams was in the command center, overseeing the reconnaissance mission. The decision to send the Global Hawk ahead for preliminary reconnaissance had come from higher-ups in response to the latest orders from back home. Since the Sound Nest unit had collaborated with the Autobots to combat the Decepticons in the past, they were likely to be the sole ground combat unit deployed in the event of an attack. Gathering as much intelligence as possible from the Decepticons before the battle was crucial.

As soon as he heard the alarm, Colonel Williams hurried over to the control center. He watched the images transmitted by the Global Hawk while giving orders. "Increase altitude and immediately cross-reference the database to confirm the target's identity..."

Due to the mass production of Decepticon cannon fodder soldiers, Sound Nest had established a database to identify them. Decepticons in their alternate flight forms were rare. They had only encountered a few, such as Blackout, Surfboard, Starscream, and Megatron.

With a quick database check, the target's identity was confirmed. "Sir, the database cross-reference is complete. The target is Lazerbeak!"

"Damn!" Colonel Williams cursed upon hearing this.

Lazerbeak was known to be a rather unique Decepticon. He was one of the very few beast-type Decepticons on Earth and possessed high intelligence. The Autobots had warned Sound Nest that Lazerbeak, like Frenzy, was part of the Cassette Legion, a specialized information-gathering unit within the Skytiger Legion.

Lazerbeak's presence indicated that the commander of the Cassette Legion, Soundwave, was nearby.

"Launch missiles and immediately return!" As Lazerbeak approached the Global Hawk, Colonel Williams quickly ordered the technical personnel in the control room to initiate the return procedure.

This Global Hawk, unlike the standard version, had been modified with assistance from the Autobots and could carry two small combat missiles for self-defense.

"Yes, sir!" The technicians followed the command and locked onto Lazerbeak. Two close-combat missiles were ejected from the drone's compartment and launched toward the Decepticon.

"Whoosh!"

The missiles left behind long trails of smoke as they headed toward Lazerbeak, who was now less than two thousand meters from the Global Hawk.

However, Lazerbeak showed a hint of mockery in his eyes. Between his wings, two small machine guns appeared and sprayed a barrage of bullets at the incoming missiles, quickly detonating them.

Then, he accelerated and swiftly caught up to the Global Hawk before destroying it in mid-air.

"Damn!" Hundreds of kilometers away, Colonel Williams stared at the now-snowy screen with a grim expression.

The fate of the Global Hawk was clear to them.

As he pondered how to report the loss of a Global Hawk, Captain Robert rushed in, drenched in sweat, and delivered bad news.

"Major, The Pentagon has received an urgent notification from NASA's Planetary Defense Office. They've detected a bizarre meteor shower composed of thirty-seven meteorites that have entered outer space near Earth. Based on the trajectory calculations, they will impact the Red Sea area in 47 minutes."

This dire news plunged the command center of the Sound Nest unit into silence.
