After more than half a month had passed, the once spacious and open Safehouse Number Three had undergone a complete transformation.

Rows of recently installed glass walls divided Safehouse Number Three into two distinct areas, leaving only a one-meter-wide aisle in between for entry and exit.

Inside the glass wall on the left, the setup resembled a cozy home.

This was Sun Cheng's specially prepared living area, equipped with a sectional sofa, coffee table, bookshelf, wardrobe, television, and a large double bed.

He even partitioned a bathroom of less than ten square meters at one end of the living area with tempered glass, and at the other end, he created a small space of around twenty square meters, stocked with refrigerated cabinets filled with various food reserves, as well as a complete set of kitchenware and tableware.

When necessary, he had stored enough food and water here to last two people for a month.

Separated by a not-so-wide corridor from the living area was the workspace, which was considerably messier than the meticulously arranged living space on the other side.

In the late hours of the night, Sun Cheng, with traces of oil stains on his cheeks from who knows when, was seated in the workspace of Villa's underground Safehouse Number Three, which was over thirty meters deep.

Surrounding him were piles of completely disassembled parts!

"…Revenge, is the data recording complete?"

Setting down his disassembly tools, Sun Cheng eased his neck, which had become sore from bending down for too long, and asked.

By his side, the micro-sized Decepticon, Revenge, which had transformed into its battle form at some point, played the role of a qualified assistant and tool.

"Data recording complete. Would you like to process it?"

"Process!"

"Understood. Processing data…"

During the time Revenge was processing the data, Sun Cheng found a rare moment to relax.

The workspace within Safehouse Number Three was a small laboratory he had established after his return to reality. Due to his inability to go to Base One located at Tiger King Ridge because of an unknown force's attention on him, he needed a place to work that wouldn't delay the plans he had set in motion.

With a space of about a hundred square meters, it was clear that only a limited number of devices could fit in.

In the Real World, Sun Cheng lacked a mechanical body and couldn't freely engage in the seemingly miraculous research that the Decepticons could. Therefore, the small laboratory within Safehouse Number Three was mainly a place for him to tinker with and handle minor projects.

Currently, Sun Cheng was working on what he considered a crucial research project in this space.

The Sleep Pod!

The concept of the "Sleep Pod" was inspired by the Sleep Pods commonly seen on spaceships in science fiction movies.

For the nations of Earth, which had yet to reach interstellar civilization, the Sleep Pod was a theoretical product with development potential. After all, with Earth's current technological level, over 80% of its components and functionalities could already be manufactured.

However, the two core challenges – the technology for "awakening after extended suspended animation" and ensuring that bodily functions didn't deteriorate during prolonged suspended animation – remained unsolved.

Sun Cheng hadn't considered building Sleep Pods; he didn't need them for now. However, he possessed the technology to manufacture them.

Several months ago, he had acquired a small spacecraft made by the Hunter Civilization on Nubra Island. This spacecraft had similar equipment.

Though the extraterrestrial beings couldn't directly use the equipment on the ship due to their different body structures, the principles were somewhat similar. In the Transformers Universe, Sun Cheng had commanded his Decepticon engineers to thoroughly reverse-engineer and modify the equipment.

He had even sent a few death row inmates to Base Two through various channels for experimentation, confirming that the Sleep Pods modified by the Decepticon engineers could indeed be used by humans.

The technology of the Sleep Pod had become a sort of "black technology" that Sun Cheng brought back. Part of it resided in his mind, while the rest was stored on a large storage chip at Tiger King Ridge's Base One.

Currently, his research on Sleep Pods was somewhat related to his recent work.

Since returning to reality, due to the extensive workload at his company, he had to dedicate at least an hour or two each day to physical exercise after coming home.

This led to Sun Cheng needing to sleep a full seven to eight hours each day to alleviate mental and physical fatigue.

For someone accustomed to a mechanical body, this was unacceptable.

A day only had twenty-four hours, yet a third of it was wasted on sleep due to the fragility of the human body.

Therefore, after recruiting an executive assistant – also intended to test the abilities of the future Chief Operating Officer of his group – Sun Cheng delegated the tasks he used to handle and centralize to Lin, who had joined the company. This allowed him to free up an extra two to three hours each day.

He used these extra hours to focus on researching and designing the "Sleep Pod."

In Sun Cheng's design, the "Sleep Pod" was theoretically a specialized device that could assist in achieving deep sleep, thus shortening sleep time and rapidly facilitating brain and body recovery.

While designing the Sleep Pod, he drew inspiration from the technology behind Sleep Pods. However, the technology on the Hunter Civilization ship was primitive, and the Decepticon engineers from the Transformers Universe had no use for such technology, so their modifications had retained only the most basic functions.

Thus, Sun Cheng's first step in designing the "Sleep Pod" involved integrating the medical functions possessed by some of Earth's medical devices, such as monitoring heart rate, pulse, and brainwave frequencies, into the Sleep Pod technology.

In the future, he hoped to use the "Sleep Pod" to simulate changes in the electromagnetic field between different muscle tissues during simulated body training and deep sleep, subtly transforming the body during sleep.

Of course, this was a gradual process.

Currently, Sun Cheng's research and development of the "Sleep Pod" were still in the initial stages, focusing on integrating the medical functionalities he could use from Earth's medical devices into the Sleep Pod.

Revenge swiftly completed the data recording and processing of the devices he had just disassembled. Although it was just a micro-sized Decepticon devoid of self-awareness, its computational ability and its capabilities to connect to the internet and infiltrate data ports in major laboratories were remarkable.

With this exceptional tool by his side, although Sun Cheng's progress in research was currently slow, he hadn't encountered any major obstacles preventing him from continuing his studies.

As time flowed by, Sun Cheng delved into the pile of components, skillfully using more refined techniques to reassemble these scattered mechanical elements according to his design.

After around an hour, suddenly, Revenge, which had been silently standing by like an alloy statue, raised its head abruptly, and its red eyes rapidly flickered.

After processing the information transmitted from outside, its cold, hollow electronic voice sounded.

"Master, the ultra-miniature surveillance device monitoring the bar has detected some useful leads. Would you like to view them?"

Hearing this, Sun Cheng set down the socket wrench in his hand.
