Soon, a steady stream of battle reports reached Sun Cheng's hands.

He finally confirmed that in the Mariana Trench region, a difficult defensive battle had taken place between the Autobots and Decepticons, centered around Megatron's remains.

Several invading Decepticons had their identities roughly determined through the base's awakening of military satellites.

Although it was within his expectations, Sun Cheng still would have preferred to be wrong.

A mechanoid resembling his previous mechanical body by about fifty or sixty percent was quite certain to be Ravage.

This guy, like Frenzy, was a member of the Decepticon intelligence organization under the command of Soundwave, the "Cassette Legion."

Regarding Ravage, the previous self didn't know much. It was one of the most mysterious figures within the "Cassette Legion." Its current beast mode was a type of mechanical beast known as a "Prowling Lion" that originated on Cybertron Planet. Whether it truly came from a "Prowling Lion" was unknown to the previous self.

The appearance of Ravage was by no means good news. But compared to that, what gave Sun Cheng a headache was that his previous speculation had been confirmed.

Hercules had arrived!

When the "Constructions" had been killed by Forerunner previously, Sun Cheng had an ominous feeling. He worried that it might have been the real machine "Hercules," created by the wicked scientist Shockwave of the Decepticon Legion, which had come to Earth.

Looking at things now, his concerns had turned into reality.

Among the other four Decepticons captured by the base's military satellites, Sun Cheng once again identified "Drawer," "Scavenger," and "Scrapper."

These three Decepticons were all members of the "Devastator Squad," components of the colossal combined Decepticon "Hercules."

Facing the horrifying war machine that could easily sway the outcome of a battle, Sun Cheng was temporarily facing a rather tricky situation.

It wasn't that he couldn't handle "Hercules." As the first type of colossal combined Decepticon born in the mid-phase of the "Cybertron Civil War," "Hercules" was not invincible.

Both the "Triple Changers" that emerged later in the civil war's later stages and the updated generations of colossal combined warriors developed by the Decepticons and Autobots to counter "Hercules" could easily take on "Hercules."

The first-generation "Hercules" had its issues, and even when facing some powerful Leader-class warriors, it could only maintain an advantage for a short period of time.

However, Sun Cheng's new mechanical body still had a considerable gap from Leader-class warriors, so facing "Hercules" would be quite strenuous.

Earth's weaponry included only nuclear weapons and some highly potent earth-penetrating/anti-ship missiles that could severely damage "Hercules."

On Sun Cheng's side, he only had two or three types of electromagnetic weapons capable of inflicting serious damage to such a war machine.

And that wasn't the most difficult part. Although Shockwave was the initial developer of "Hercules," after creating the first-generation "Hercules," he went on to perfect the "Triple Changers." It was Starscream who took over the "Devastator Plan."

Even within the Decepticon Legion filled with executioners and war maniacs, Starscream was someone few Decepticons dared to provoke. His coldness, cunning, and cruelty made the vast majority of Decepticons keep their distance from him.

Starscream had always advocated using sea warfare tactics to overwhelm the Autobots, and he had even developed a mature technology for mass-producing cannon fodder warriors in the shortest time.

As of now, the most comprehensive and user-friendly audiobook app is available. It integrates four major voice synthesis engines and offers over 100 voice tones. Moreover, it supports offline reading. Get the new source app at huanyuanapp.org.

Originally, "Hercules" was far from mature, and since there wasn't an independent Spark to support the energy consumption of such a colossal construct, Shockwave had the idea to create six Sparks that would maintain interconnectedness. Eventually, these six independent Decepticons were combined into a powerful warrior.

The cost, however, was that once combined, the six originally independent Decepticons would never be able to separate again and would consume an enormous amount of energy.

After taking over, Starscream didn't bother to improve these technological flaws.

Not only that, but he also significantly reduced the weaponry and power of Hercules.

However, the Hercules transformed by his hands posed an even greater threat to the Autobots.

There was no other reason except that Starscream, utilizing his mature cultivation techniques, mass-produced the six independent Decepticon warriors that composed Hercules. As a result, this war machine appeared on the battlefield in large numbers.

With just this point, even the first developer, Shockwave, had to admit defeat.

Sun Cheng was also troubled by this. The six Decepticon cannon fodder members of the "Devastator Squad" were dispersed. Handling them with his current power wouldn't be difficult unless hundreds of them suddenly arrived.

However, if he had to face two or three "Hercules" constructs, the base would suffer considerable losses. If four or five attacked the base simultaneously, all the hard work he had put in over the past year would be in vain.

Of course, Sun Cheng also thought he might be worrying too much.

Based on the data obtained from studying the Cores and Sparks of the "Constructions" at the base, once Hercules transformed and combined, the energy consumption of his mechanical body per day was several times higher than that of a Leader-class warrior. Their Sparks were also not as powerful as those of Leader-class individuals, so unless Starscream could acquire a large number of Energon Cubes to replenish Hercules' energy in time, their lifespans would be very short.

Creating Hercules during times of peace was undoubtedly a severe waste of resources.

The outcome of the battle in the Mariana Trench quickly became clear. Despite having only four warriors on the Autobot side, there were as many as five Decepticons attempting to revive Megatron through the invasion.

However, despite the Autobots' numerical disadvantage, having elite warriors like Ironhide and Sideswipe made the invasion undoubtedly end in failure.

It appeared that Ironhide and the others were already at Mariana Trench by the time the Decepticons arrived.

Although Sun Cheng wasn't sure why a few Autobots who had a close cooperation with the U.S. military wouldn't be on their warships, upon receiving news of the attack on a U.S. naval cruiser, Ironhide and the others seemed to have rushed there to support immediately.

Even though they were outnumbered by one Decepticon, both Ironhide and Sideswipe would likely require some time and effort to determine the outcome if Sun Cheng were to face them now. The cannon-fodder type Decepticon warriors wouldn't stand a chance against them.

Because the battles between the Autobots and Decepticons seemed to be taking place underwater, the spy satellites couldn't capture any images. So, Sun Cheng and the others were unaware of the specific details of the battles, but they knew the result.

The spy satellites did capture a scene of Ravage escaping, but there were no images of the other invading Decepticons.

It was quite evident that this Decepticon operation had failed.
