"Squeak..."

After a scan that lasted for more than half an hour, it finally came to an end with a machine-like chime.

Sun Cheng calmly stood aside, feeling out of place amidst the fervent atmosphere inside the laboratory.

"Unbelievable, his life should have come to an end. The surface armor of his mechanical body has begun to rust, yet he's still not dead..."

"He is indeed a Pathfinder, as the legends say!"

"Master, please allow us to read his memories. It will be a treasure trove beyond imagination. Once fully utilized, it will greatly help you control Earth in the shortest time..."

"This esteemed Pathfinder is currently in a peculiar state, somewhere between life and death. Quite intriguing..."

"I see. The reason this esteemed Pathfinder can survive even after his Spark has extinguished is that he has another independent energy supply system inside him..."

"I see. He must be an extremely powerful warrior, and his weapon system inside his body consumes a considerable amount of energy. Perhaps this Lord also realized this and equipped himself with an independent energy supply system outside the Spark, just like the auxiliary power system in Sun Cheng's mechanical body."

Facing "Skyfire," a veteran Decepticon who had likely survived for millions of years, the engineers initially showed a considerable amount of fear. However, they soon fell into a frenzy, or rather, madness—a more appropriate description that even Sun Cheng found troublesome.

Even without further instructions from him, the dozen or so engineers quickly discussed among themselves and formulated a complete research process.

Using the terrifying manufacturing capabilities within the base, they took personal action and, in less than two hours, created a set of detection machines that combined dozens of complex functions, such as ultra-soundwave, nuclear magnetic resonance, and laser scanning, to comprehensively examine "Skyfire's" mechanical body.

The results were evident. Although the conclusions reached by the engineers were consistent with Sun Cheng's initial test results when he first met "Skyfire" in Washington, they were more detailed and comprehensive.

They even found the reason why "Skyfire" hadn't completely died despite his mechanical body being decayed. It was because "Skyfire's" mechanical body contained a terrifying weapon system that far surpassed Sun Cheng's new mechanical body. However, the energy consumption of that weapon system was also terrifying, and even this former Decepticon elder couldn't maintain it. So, in his mechanical body, he designed another independent energy supply system outside the Spark, similar to the auxiliary power system in Sun Cheng's mechanical body.

This was the reason why "Skyfire's" Spark had been extinguished long ago, yet he hadn't completely died.

However, he couldn't hold on for much longer.

The buzzing and noisy sounds didn't last long.

Soon, the engineers noticed their master, Sun Cheng, standing there with a cold expression, looking calmly at each of them as they expressed their opinions and thoughts, but he remained silent.

In an instant, the deeply ingrained concept of respect and inferiority among Decepticons silenced all the engineers, including Atlas.

Seeing this, Sun Cheng finally spoke, "Is the discussion over?"

No one dared to speak at this moment, especially those greedy engineers who had tried to access "Skyfire's" memories. They were now too afraid to even look up at him.

With a cold snort, Sun Cheng merely warned them; he didn't delve further.

"Skyfire's" memories were probably the richest treasure he had ever obtained until now, with its value possibly surpassing even the Cybertronian spaceship that might be lying at the bottom of Lake Titicaca, assuming it was still functional.

After all, no matter how advanced a spaceship was, it was still just a spaceship.

Once the knowledge and Cybertronian technology in "Skyfire's" head were thoroughly digested, Sun Cheng and his team might even be able to build similar spacecraft in the near future.

How could he easily share such a treasure? Even with his engineers, who were loyal to him, they could only get a share when he needed it or with his permission.

All of it? Impossible!

Selfishness was the nature of life, and Sun Cheng didn't trust anyone in this world other than himself.

"...Now that the discussion is over, I will ask, and you will answer!"

After giving his greedy subordinates a reminder, Sun Cheng turned his gaze to Atlas. "Atlas, you go first... Can this guy be saved?"

Atlas evaded his gaze with some unease, clearly having had thoughts about accessing "Skyfire's" memories earlier.

He shook his head, but his tone wasn't entirely certain. "Master, I cannot give you a precise answer on this matter. This Lord's mechanical body has existed for too long, and his Spark was extinguished decades ago. If it weren't for the existence of another energy supply system inside him, he probably would have already joined the Primordials... This Lord probably sensed that his life had reached its end, so he voluntarily entered a state of dormancy... However, the energy supply system inside his body has only allowed him to survive for a few more decades. Because it hasn't been replenished for too long, his organs have begun to decay, and even now, rust has spread throughout his body..."

However, forgetting the fear from before, Atlas suddenly looked up at Sun Cheng with a change in his tone.

"To save him, besides the legendary 'Leadership Module,' only the 'All Spark' would have such capabilities!"

The blue light in Sun Cheng's eyes flickered, but he didn't continue the inquiry.

Information about the "Leadership Module" was no longer a secret within the base, especially after "Dust Up" joined and the bits of intelligence he acquired from "Excavator." Though Sun Cheng's team didn't fully understand what it was, they knew it was a valuable item—one that even "Lord Fallen," one of the Thirteen Primes from Cybertronian legends, had tried to control. Its value was probably even higher than that of the "All Spark."

Sun Cheng didn't give it much thought. Firstly, he didn't know where this item was hidden on Earth. Secondly, he didn't have the energy to snatch it from the jaws of a Cybertronian ancestor, especially when he had already offended Megatron and was on bad terms with the Autobots and the United States.

As for the "All Spark," that item had already been shattered long ago.

However, Sun Cheng had several fragments of the "All Spark" in his possession.

With this thought in mind, Sun Cheng squinted his eyes and looked at Atlas. It seemed this guy was trying to play a little trick on him.
