The CIA's intelligence personnel assigned to monitor Braxton were not only the few he had just taken care of. There was another surveillance point two kilometers away, ready to act at any moment.

Clearly, Sun Cheng didn't have much time left.

Because of the presence of the Autobots, he was still somewhat cautious about staying in the United States for an extended period.

Currently, despite having many doubts in his mind, he didn't rush to ask immediately.

Grasping Braxton, who had an unpleasant expression, Sun Cheng half-raised him into the air, disregarding his protests. He quickly seized him and activated the optical cloaking net, heading towards the pier.

Taking Braxton out of the United States wasn't an overly difficult task.

The security measures in the United States were only somewhat troublesome for individuals, but for someone like Sun Cheng, it was easy to handle the immigration procedures and ensure Braxton's departure from the country.

...

However, considering the swift potential response from the CIA, Sun Cheng didn't arrange for Braxton to be evacuated by plane. Instead, he directly placed him on a cargo ship at the pier, shipping him to Mexico first and then transferring him to Brazil.

If it weren't for considering the fragility of the human body, which prevented him from traversing the skies like Sun Cheng, things wouldn't have been so complicated.

Thus, after discreetly bringing Braxton to the Houston pier, Sun Cheng quickly surveyed the area and soon found a cargo ship bound for Mexico.

Without delay, Sun Cheng swiftly boarded the freighter with Braxton, then found an inconspicuous hiding spot and settled down.

"Alright... Mr. Braxton... you're safe now, and it's time for me to collect my mission reward..."

Sitting down on the freighter, Sun Cheng, with his Core activated, had already scanned the ship's conditions. Being familiar with the entire freighter's layout, he had no worries about being discovered.

Imitating Sun Cheng's actions, Braxton also sat down on the deck, his expression still unpleasant.

After a moment of drooping his head, he finally replied with frustration, "Damn... I really should've known better. You've really made a mess of things for me this time..."

Sun Cheng observed him with curiosity, neither interrupting nor urging him to continue.

Braxton's initial reaction upon seeing him had piqued Sun Cheng's interest. However, after waiting for several seconds without any further words, he asked, "… It seems that you aren't surprised by my existence, Mr. Braxton. That has me quite curious... There's plenty of time now, and you're perfectly safe... So, tell me, how did you come to know about my existence?"

Braxton's lips moved, and it took a while before he frustratedly removed his baseball cap and tossed it aside, finally beginning to recount his story.

As it turned out, this guy had indeed gotten himself into trouble because of Sun Cheng.

Sun Cheng had previously sensed his money-oriented nature, and he had certainly been right.

As one of the senior agents of the CIA, Braxton recently learned through insiders that there have been personnel adjustments at the top of the CIA to prepare for the upcoming US elections. He will soon be replaced, and the CIA's gray income channels for drug sales will be taken over.

Naturally, Braxton was not willing to easily give up this lucrative opportunity. However, he realized that he had no control over the personnel adjustments.

In this disgruntled state of being reassigned, Braxton finally thought of Sun Cheng, who he had once been in contact with, and decided to seek a new source of wealth.

After being transferred back to a domestic position, he used his new identity to gather intelligence on the "NEST Project."

Under the guise of his convenient identity, Braxton, driven by curiosity, delved deeper into his investigation.

As he gathered more and more intelligence about the NEST Project, Braxton discovered that it was a highly classified special military unit within the United States. Surprisingly, even middle and high-level personnel like him, serving US intelligence agencies, had never heard of it.

Motivated by his curiosity, he continued to dig deeper.

However, as Braxton acquired more information about the Sound Nest unit, some individuals within the CIA began to take notice of his activities.

Eventually, Braxton, who was naturally cautious, realized that his residence had been searched. He abruptly realized that he was under suspicion.

After cautiously conducting a few tests, he confirmed that CIA agents were indeed monitoring and investigating him. Braxton began to panic.

He attempted to reach out to his contacts, but he astutely recognized that someone was trying to extract information from him. With almost twenty years of experience in the CIA, he realized that he had become bait for the agency. The CIA had undoubtedly detected something amiss with him, but they were not in a hurry to arrest him. They wanted him to play his part one last time and lure out the puppeteer behind the scenes, the one who was contacting him and gathering information about the Sound Nest unit!

"So... is this why you thought of contacting me?" Braxton asked, wearing a face filled with bitterness and regret. Sun Cheng, looking down on him, appeared delighted.

"Hahaha...hahaha...very well..."

For an agent like Braxton, driven by greed and lust, there was nothing more agonizing than losing everything.

However, for Sun Cheng, these matters were inconsequential.

Staring intently at Braxton for some time, Sun Cheng finally came to a conclusion: although this guy might fear him, he had never shown the slightest hint of it.

He may be insatiable, but he is daring.

Compared to Rivera, Braxton might be a more suitable puppet.

At that moment, the smile on his face grew even stronger, and even his voice involuntarily became gentler.

"Braxton... Do you know what the most precious thing in this world is for you humans?"

His sudden question caused Braxton, who had been somewhat lethargic, to raise his head.

"The most precious thing?"

Braxton looked at Sun Cheng with a mix of annoyance and doubt in his eyes, "I... I don't know..."

After answering, he then wore an expression of disillusionment and asked indifferently, "So, what's the answer?"

"It's power!"

Sun Cheng extended a finger and lightly tapped it on the deck in front of him, producing a clanging metallic sound.

"For you human beings, life lasts only a hundred years at most. The pursuit of a happy family, perfect love, and successful career can all be easily achieved under power... and you've only lost some insignificant things."

"Go to Brazil, and I will support you in becoming the king of this country. Then, I will compensate you a thousandfold for what you've lost... In exchange, from today onward, sell your soul to me..."
