At 2:54am, when the urgent knocking on the bedroom door woke up the sleeping American President Richard Bruce Cheney, he was furious. He was about to coldly reprimand whoever was knocking on his door, but the voice from outside immediately made him wide awake. "Mr. President, two of our domestic military bases have been attacked and several nuclear warheads have been lost!"

After splashing his face with cold water, Cheney quickly met several high-ranking defense and intelligence officials in his office, including Defense Secretary Jon Voight, CIA Director Michael Hayden, and FBI Director Robert Mueller.

"Idiots, they're all idiots! The CIA increases their budget every year, and the FBI is always asking me for money. And now? Gentlemen, can you tell me why our heavily guarded military bases on American soil were attacked by Onslaught, and why two were attacked at the same time?"

It's no wonder that Cheney was so angry. Since the end of World War II, Americans have prided themselves on the slogan of "keeping war out of our homeland," which would be shattered during his tenure.

Just a few years ago, the self-directed and self-acted '911 incident' was enough to make angry American citizens donate money or even their lives, and politicians like Cheney designed plans for two wars.

Not to mention the dividends and consequences of the two wars that America has yet to digest. Now, for the first time since World War II, America has encountered a carefully planned military Onslaught from hostile forces, which not only destroyed two US military bases but also took away four nuclear warheads.

If this matter were to be leaked, not only would the United States be shaken, but the whole world would be shaken as well.

Thinking of this, Cheney couldn't hide his anger anymore. He tapped his finger on the desk and said in an extremely cold tone, "Do you want me to be the first president of the United States to be impeached by the people?"

This was too cruel. Voight, Hayden, Mueller, and others looked at each other, and finally Defense Secretary Voight took the initiative to step forward and explain in a similarly ugly tone, "Mr. President, things are not as simple as you think. I have already communicated with the CIA and FBI, and they can guarantee that no military forces from any hostile country can infiltrate the United States and cause damage!"

As soon as Cheney heard this, he became furious. "So you want to tell me that the aliens attacked us?"

"I'm afraid so!"

Voight answered with a grim face.

"Nonsense!" Cheney sneered. As the President of the United States, how could he not pay attention to the rumors of Area 51? He knew that it was just an advanced aircraft research base of the US military, but because of its high level of secrecy and some intentional guidance by some interested parties, it eventually became a world-famous extraterrestrial research base.

Voight didn't speak anymore. He took out more than a dozen pictures from the file bag under his ribs and put them in front of Cheney.

After casually glancing at them, Cheney's face changed dramatically. He picked up the pictures and looked at them several times before asking calmly, "Where did these pictures come from?"

"Some of them were taken by military satellites at high altitudes. These blurry pictures show Onslaught at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The last few clear ones were taken by the Air Force at the Renville base. We tried to analyze the armor strength of these robots, and their strength far exceeds all alloys currently in the United States' technology verification stage!"

Voight sighed, "So we think that these attacks may be aliens!"

"Aliens!" Cheney stood up in frustration, pacing back and forth for a while before looking at his subordinates angrily, "And then? Where do these robots come from? Why did they attack America? What do they want with our nuclear warheads? Is the war going to start again? Most importantly, how do I answer the media and our citizens? Are you telling me that aliens attacked us? Do you believe it?"

The office fell silent!

CIA Director Hayden hesitated for a moment before breaking the deadlock, "Your Excellency, we may not be completely ignorant of these robots. I only took over the CIA last year, and because the CIA headquarters sealed too many confidential files, I only finished organizing them recently. If I remember correctly, there is a research plan on robots stored in the CIA archives. However, I am not authorized to read that file, and I need you and the Defense Secretary to authorize me before I can apply to view it..."

"There is such a plan?"

Cheney was stunned. When Hayden said that, some vague memories also surfaced in his mind. He vaguely remembered seeing a similar file.

However, he was the President of the United States after all, and this country was too powerful and had too many secrets to keep, so even after two terms in office, there were still many confidential documents left behind by his predecessors that he had not read.

Whitney obviously knew the most about it. Seeing the President's gaze fall on him, he had no choice but to answer truthfully, "There are only a few confidential documents left in American history that require authorization from both the President and the Secretary of Defense to access. If the CIA headquarters also has them, then what Director Hayden mentioned can only be referring to the Seventh District!"

The Seventh District was a more obscure term than the now world-famous Fifty-One District.

So after Whitney finished speaking, not only were Hayden and Miller, the heads of the CIA and FBI, completely baffled, even Cheney, the President of the United States, looked confused.

Seeing everyone's gaze fall on him, Whitney could only smile bitterly and shake his head. "Don't look at me, even I need presidential authorization to access that document. The only thing I know about this term comes from the office records left by the first Secretary of Defense!"

"So, we can only authorize each other to access this document now?"

Cheney seemed to be deep in thought.

"I'm afraid that's the case, Mr. President!" Whitney nodded.

"Well, okay!"

Cheney immediately stood up and beckoned his subordinates to enter the underground mansion built to resist nuclear strikes located beneath the White House.

They walked all the way to a room with only a desk and chair without drawers, specially set up for the President to read high-level classified documents after the completion of information electronicization in the United States.

Originally, this room was not accessible to officials other than the President, but today was a special situation, so Cheney temporarily set aside the rules.

Several people entered the room together, and Cheney sat down in front of the computer without hesitation.

After the computer was turned on and buffered for a while, a password input box appeared. Everyone tacitly turned away and Cheney entered the password.

After logging in to the operating interface, he could only think and operate simultaneously with the not-so-good computer, and it took more than ten minutes to find the authorization for the Seventh District mentioned by Whitney.

After Cheney clicked on it, he didn't expect a special operating interface to automatically pop up on the computer, and at the same time, a mechanical sound also sounded, "Access to this confidential document requires authorization from the current President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense. Would you like to continue to the next step?"

He quickly clicked continue, and the operating interface changed again. "Capturing image, confirming visitor is the current President of the United States, Richard Bruce Cheney. Please follow the prompts below to proceed with voice authorization!"

"I authorize access to this document as President of the United States!"

"Authorization accepted, please switch to the Secretary of Defense authorization within 60 seconds!"

Cheney had to stand up and let Whitney sit on the stool, and then he completed the authorization according to the prompt. After the operating interface suddenly disappeared, the phone next to the computer, which looked like an old-fashioned landline from the 1990s, suddenly rang.

Cheney was stunned for a moment, and then he realized that everyone was looking at him. He walked over to pick up the phone.

Instantly, a middle-aged man's gentle voice came from the other end of the phone, "This is the Seventh District, hello, Mr. President..."
