In the last five minutes before the battle began, William Major and his team were ready. Considering the astonishing aerial combat record created by Frenzy in the Battle of Las Vegas, despite the readiness of dozens of armed Apache helicopters, they were preparing for a ground offensive in this battle.

After the two Predators took off, William Major immediately went to the data receiving vehicle to watch the data transmitted by the drones.

"Code P3009C, wind speed level 3, wind direction southwest, flight altitude 2415 meters..."

"Code P2916X, wind speed level 3, wind direction southwest, flight altitude 2931 meters..."

"Display the ground images..."

Inside the data receiving vehicle, William Major approached the screen and requested from the console.

"Yes, sir."

The console quickly connected the ground footage captured by the two Predator drones to the vehicle.

"There are no signs of any buildings on the ground. If the satellites are correct, the only possible hiding place for those Decepticons is here..."

He pointed to a location on the video transmitted by one of the drones. William Major's expression turned grim. The location he pointed to was an abandoned intercontinental missile launch silo that had been left unused by the US military for many years.

During the Cold War, the United States built too many of these, but with the easing of tensions between the US and the Soviet Union in the 1980s, they were largely abandoned.

Due to the unwillingness to continue maintenance or allocate funds for their dismantling, almost all abandoned intercontinental missile silos remained unused.

No one could have anticipated that decades later, such an abandoned silo would become the base for extraterrestrial mechanical life.

"I have already reported to the Pentagon, and the military will soon initiate a comprehensive inspection of the abandoned silos across the country..." said William Major, his eyes fixed on the screen. "Sergeant, I need your aircraft to fly lower, preferably closer to the silo!"

"No problem, sir!"

Upon receiving the order, the sergeant in charge of controlling the drones immediately maneuvered one of the Predators to reduce its flight altitude from over 2,000 meters to 400 to 500 meters, preparing for a closer look at the silo.

Inside the data receiving vehicle, everyone gathered around the screen, ready to observe the condition of the silo up close.

Suddenly, the red alarm sounded abruptly.

"Beep... beep... beep..."

"What's happening?"

William Major's expression changed, and he quickly inquired with the control console.

"Sir, the Predator has been locked on by missiles..." the young sergeant in front of the console, who was responsible for lowering the flight altitude of a Predator drone, replied with a pale face. Suddenly, two missiles appeared within the surveillance field of view of the Predator.

"No..."

Captain Robert covered his face in agony. Being from a special forces background, he knew that the flying altitude of the Predator was too low, and there was no time to react.

As expected, almost the moment he closed his eyes in pain, a violent explosion ensued, and the screen of a data receiver in the control center instantly turned into static, filled with radio interference.

"We've been discovered... damn..."

Major William had a gloomy expression on his face as he angrily stomped his foot.

The alarm sound of "beep beep beep" did not stop after the destruction of the drone; it continued to ring in his ears.

Almost in the instant he stomped his foot, another voice filled with panic sounded, "It's a Hellfire missile... how is this possible?"

"Hellfire?"

The faces of everyone inside the data receiving vehicle instantly changed. Hellfire was one of the standard missiles used by the US military. It was an air-to-ground missile specifically designed by Lockheed Martin for Apache attack helicopters to target ground tank units.

Although Hellfire missiles were no longer exclusively used by Apaches, as the US also exported a significant number of them overseas, it was certain that the export of each Hellfire missile was tightly controlled.

"Hellfire? How could our missile end up here?"

Major William wore an expression of disbelief and hastily pushed past an officer in front of him to reach another data receiver, preparing to assess the situation.

However, to his surprise, almost as soon as his eyes fell upon the screen, an explosion suddenly rang out, and the screen turned to static.

"The Predator... it's done for..."

The young officer in front of the data receiver turned pale, tears glistening in his eyes.

He had made great efforts to control the unmanned drone, attempting to maximize its speed and increase its altitude to over six thousand meters as soon as the radar detected a missile lock.

But it was all in vain!

Four Hellfire missiles came hurtling towards them. Although he launched two Stinger air-to-air missiles loaded on the drone in an attempt to evade them, one of the Hellfire missiles still struck the aircraft, causing it to explode.

Crack!

The sound of bones grinding against each other echoed as Major William took a deep breath.

Glancing at his wristwatch, noticing that time was almost up with only one minute remaining, he finally restrained himself, adjusted his military cap, and placed it firmly on his head.

"Spread the word, prepare for battle."

I wanted to inform the Autobots and let them take the lead!

After all, as the commander of the Sound Nest, William Major has fought alongside the Autobots several times and understands how their strength compares to the US military.

However, as a soldier and a proud American, his pride does not allow his troops to assist the Autobots.

After hesitating for a while, William Major's American pride ultimately overcame everything. He decided that the US military would still take the lead in this battle, and the Autobots would play a supporting role.

Now, as the agreed battle time arrives, dozens of armed Apache helicopters swiftly ascend amidst the roaring sound. Active-duty M1A2 main battle tanks emerge from their hiding spots and begin to assemble.

Fully equipped, William Major boards an infantry fighting vehicle and opens the communication channel for everyone. He declares in a loud voice, "Everyone, we are embarking on a secret operation today. This is our Sound Nest Force's second mission since its establishment. Although we achieved perfect success in the previous battle in Tucson, it does not guarantee the same outcome today. In fact, just a moment ago, the two drones we launched have completely disappeared!"

"...Clearly, our target for today's operation is a more ruthless and cunning Decepticon... We have limited information about them, and we can't even confirm if there is only one target today..."

"But we are all elite soldiers from various branches of the US military, the bravest and most skilled warriors of our nation... We are not afraid of hardships, we fear nothing, and this victory will undoubtedly be ours..."

"Now, I give the order. Let the operation commence..."
