"There's a situation..."

As Sun Cheng observed, the burly man in front of him made a gesture, and the tall, muscular African American soldier blocking his way immediately nodded. He glanced at Sun Cheng and then positioned himself in front of him, holding his gun up in alert.

Sun Cheng took notice. Although his back was exposed to him, there were two soldiers crouching on either side of him, also aiming their guns in caution. The muzzle was just slightly lifted, ready to strike him down at any moment.

This vigilance and attitude undoubtedly confirmed his previous thoughts once again. This team of people was not ordinary poachers; they were likely active military personnel or even special forces.

Clearly, they didn't trust him.

Seeing their exceptionally well-equipped gear, with a variety of firearms, they were even capable of launching a small-scale assault on a base.

Sun Cheng was content to remain silent and non-resistant, quietly observing their actions.

After a beastly roar, the whole team quickly crouched down, each on high alert.

However, after about three to five minutes, there were still no other sounds. Everyone's gaze naturally fell upon the most burly man in the team.

"Boss, it might be a snowy owl..." The first to speak was the skinny white soldier who wore glasses. Annoyed, he used the muzzle of his gun to nudge his military cap. The storm on the island was fierce, and even while hiding under the trees, rainwater continuously poured down on them, making it quite uncomfortable.

The snowy owl was a large owl species widely distributed in North America. Its call was peculiar, and if it didn't have a somewhat pleasing appearance, its social acceptance probably wouldn't be much better than that of a crow.

The burly man who seemed to be the team leader pondered for a moment, then quietly commanded the two young soldiers beside him, "Robbie, Alfie, go and check up ahead. Billy, Bin, cover them..."

"Yes, Colonel..."

Receiving the orders, several soldiers cautiously stepped out from under the tree canopy and slowly proceeded in the direction where the sound had come from while maintaining vigilance.

The protective curtain hanging around Sun Cheng's body had already been soaked through, making him feel very uncomfortable. Just as he was about to move, he suddenly felt something hard pressing against his back.

"Don't move..." Soon after, a cold and threatening voice came from behind.

Sun Cheng turned his head to look and indeed saw a soldier crouching next to him, pointing a gun at him.

Wearing a displeased expression, he protested to the soldier, "Buddy, you've already illegally invaded a private island, and now you want to restrict my movements. Surely, you won't even allow me to shake off the rainwater on my body? Also, I've warned you before, you need to leave this place immediately. Damn it, what on earth is Hammond thinking? He actually resurrected dinosaurs!"

Sun Cheng intentionally raised his voice during his protest, drawing all the dissatisfied glances from the entire team onto himself.

But he had become smarter. He continued to feign indifference and gradually revealed information about the island to gain the attention of these unidentified soldiers and attempt to erase their distrust and hostility towards him.

The burly soldier referred to as Colonel calmly looked over, his icy gaze fixed on Sun Cheng for a moment before he slightly shook his head at the soldier holding the gun against him. "Halen..."

"Alright, Colonel..." Soldier Halen once again moved the muzzle away from Sun Cheng and aimed it at the ground. However, his vigilant eyes made it evident that if Sun Cheng made any threatening moves, the gun would be pointed at him again.

The tension on Sun Cheng's face finally eased. He forced a friendly smile, nodded at the Colonel, and then took off the curtain draped over him, wringing it out forcefully.

"You said there are dinosaurs on the island?"

The Colonel stared at his actions for a while, then surveyed the area around Sun Cheng, but he didn't notice any place where a weapon could be hidden. He withdrew his cold, intimidating gaze and asked him.

"I've already warned you..." Sun Cheng twisted the curtain, raising his head to meet his gaze with a somewhat uneasy expression. He said, "Hammond invited us to the island for a business negotiation. His international genetic technology company is seeking financing. But damn it, this bastard never told us that his company actually resurrected dinosaurs, including carnivorous ones. Damn it, can you imagine? He's even revived the Tyrannosaurus rex, the prehistoric overlord. Damn it, does he think he can keep those monsters in a zoo? Those things would devour an adult Angus bull in a day..."

After speaking, seeing that these people still half-doubted his words, Sun Cheng decisively took out the camera hanging on his chest, played with it for a moment, and then flipped through the photos he had taken with Revenge earlier, handing the camera over to indicate that the Colonel should take a look.

As expected, the Colonel took it and couldn't help but frown. After looking at the first photo, his face was filled with disbelief as he looked up at Sun Cheng.

"These are the photos I took this afternoon. I was planning to take them back to the company to convince the board..."

Sun Cheng watched as the other soldiers, curious as well, leaned in one by one to look at the camera. He walked over and showed the Colonel how to browse through the other photos. Realizing that this time no one was stopping him, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

"Temporarily safe..." Sun Cheng breathed a sigh of relief in his heart.

However, he had let his guard down.

The close-up photos of dinosaurs saved in Revenge's transformed camera startled the Colonel and his men.

"Oh my God, what kind of monster is this?!"

"Good Lord, this thing must weigh hundreds of tons..."

"What the hell is this place? Damn it, are all these monsters on the island?"

The photos stored in Revenge's transformed camera clearly terrified the soldiers. They exclaimed in shock. At first, everyone paid attention to lowering their voices, but later no one bothered to do so. Even the most taciturn and burly Colonel couldn't help but curse a few times, showing the magnitude of the impact the dinosaurs had on them.

There were only a little over a hundred photos taken in the camera, so they quickly finished looking at them.

After they finished, the Colonel's face was filled with frustration as he cursed, "Damn it!"

He then glanced sideways at the African American soldier with a mustache who had somehow squeezed next to him. He stared at the camera in the soldier's hand and snorted, "Your plane crashed in a really messed up place..."

The African American soldier's facial muscles twitched slightly upon hearing this, and Sun Cheng curiously looked over, clearly seeing his Adam's apple move incessantly. His gaze also seemed a bit elusive and flickering, but he didn't say anything.

Seeing that everyone had finished looking, and his purpose of proving his identity had been achieved, Sun Cheng was thinking about asking the Colonel to return his camera.

Suddenly, a sharp warning sound came from not far away, "Alfie, be careful..."

The next moment, a burst of intense gunfire erupted!

The team, who had relaxed their guard after being shocked by the dinosaur photos, immediately turned pale. They looked towards the direction where the gunshots originated, and amidst the flashes of bullets, the silhouettes of several two to three-meter-tall long-necked creatures appeared faintly in the darkness.
