Wang Hong approached the pile of ashes with a hint of reluctance, hoping to find something useful amidst the remnants.

It was a great waste to see such a formidable five-tier carcass reduced to ashes. Wang Hong's heart bled at the sight. However, given the circumstances at that time, victory was the only thing that mattered, and nothing else was considered.

Using the Golden Crow Fire to attack the enemy came with its own challenges. Once the flames were unleashed, Wang Hong couldn't retrieve them; he had to wait until they burnt out completely.

This resulted in significant waste, and it wasn't the first time precious spoils had been incinerated.

He carefully sifted through the pile of ashes on the ground, and to his surprise, he discovered a piece of blue-scaled armor that had survived the Golden Crow Fire's onslaught.

The fact that it had not turned to ash within the Golden Crow Fire indicated that it was no ordinary item. However, its specific properties would require further study back home.

Still not entirely satisfied, he meticulously searched through the ashes several times before reluctantly leaving the scene.

The savage beast they had just encountered had emerged from a mountain cave, which was now buried under the aftermath of their battle.

Using their magic weapons, the group relentlessly pounded the entrance of the mountain cave, soon revealing a vast opening.

"You all guard the entrance while I go inside," he instructed his subordinates.

After they secured the entrance, he swiftly disappeared into the mountain cave.

The cave was exceptionally spacious, with smooth and polished stone walls. It appeared to be the dwelling place of the savage beast, its body having worn the cave over the years.

After walking deeper into the cave for about fifteen minutes, Wang Hong came across a clear water pool ahead.

In the center of the pool, there was a small piece of land with a fruit tree bearing a dozen or so green fruits.

Beneath the tree, there were plant-like growths that resembled wild herbs, potentially some kind of Spiritual Herb.

While Wang Hong didn't recognize these particular Spiritual Herbs or the fruit tree, the fact that they were intentionally preserved by the five-tier savage beast indicated their extraordinary nature.

Wang Hong flew to the small island in the pool and carefully transplanted all the plant-like growths into his spatial storage.

To make room for these Spiritual Plants, he had to dig up a mutated spirit fruit tree from his spatial storage.

Even this spirit fruit tree couldn't be wasted; he planned to plant it on Qizhou Island once they returned.

Currently, the spirit fruit shop in Great Chu Immortal Nation had gained some recognition in Fengwu Continent, generating valuable resources for the nation each year.

With the 365 acres of land in his spatial storage, it was becoming increasingly insufficient.

As he added more varieties of Spiritual Plants to his collection, their growth periods extended, necessitating more space in the spirit fields.

For every new Spiritual Herb added, he had to remove an existing one to make space.

Many less commonly used Spiritual Herbs had already been removed, and their harvested herbs and seeds were carefully stored for future use.

Having cleared the small island of Spirit Plants in the pool, he flew out of the water and proceeded along a passageway that led deeper into the cave.

At the end of the passage, he entered a significantly large stone chamber, seemingly the primary resting place of the savage beast, covered in fine sand with traces of the beast's presence.

In one corner of the Stone Chamber, there were scattered items, including a large gray crystal, larger than a fist, casually tossed onto the fine sand.

It seemed that the savage beast had been using it and had left it there temporarily, intending to return to it later.

Wang Hong's eyes lit up as he picked up the crystal. He had coveted one for a long time but never had the chance to obtain one.

As soon as he held the crystal, he could sense the surging energy within it. A slight absorption of its power resulted in a noticeable improvement in his physical condition.

This crystal was of much higher quality than any they had previously found, and it would be of greater assistance to Wang Hong, a high-tier cultivator.

After storing the crystal, he approached the pile of items in the corner. While they appeared haphazardly arranged, none of them were ordinary.

Among these items were six more large gray crystals, in addition to the one previously found. It was astonishing that the savage beast had acquired seven such crystals on the island.

The pile also contained some high-tier refining materials and various Spiritual Herbs, all of which Wang Hong carefully sorted and stored.

Once he had collected all these items, he was left with a three-inch-long object.

This item appeared to be made of metal, black, and roughly the width of chopsticks. Its surface had a coarse texture, and despite its small size, it felt as heavy as hundreds of pounds when held.

Moreover, it was incredibly sturdy; Wang Hong tried to cut it with a Flying Sword, but it wouldn't break.

The durability of this item was different from that of the Jade Tree, which relied on the Grand Dao Rune's defense. This object's hardness was inherent to its material, without any need for additional mystic techniques.

What intrigued Wang Hong the most was the faint trace of vitality he could sense within the item.

Despite examining it with his Divine Sense numerous times, he couldn't determine if this iron lump was a part of a plant.

However, there was undeniably a hint of life within it.

Unable to confirm its nature, he decided to plant it directly into his spatial storage. If it could truly grow, that would be excellent. If not, it wouldn't matter.

He took the metal bar and placed it in his spatial storage, finding a random spot to plant it in the soil.

After tidying up the Stone Chamber, he exited through the passageway and explored the remaining three tunnels, each yielding some valuable treasures.

Having thoroughly searched the entire cave mansion, Wang Hong finally left the mountain cave.

Outside the cave, his subordinates who had retreated to the outskirts had returned. Two Flying Boats had been destroyed, and out of the six hundred people, approximately half had been injured or killed.

Fortunately, Wang Hong's troops were well-treated, and any injured soldiers were given all the help they needed to recover using Healing Pills.

Temporary tents had been set up on the island to provide a place for the wounded to recuperate.

Meanwhile, some soldiers had been dispatched to explore the island. As the former residence of a five-tier savage beast, there was a chance of finding valuable items.

A day later, the soldiers returned, having collected a substantial number of Spiritual Herbs from the island. Some of these herbs were of high tier, making it an unexpected windfall.

This visit to the central region's small island had yielded a considerable amount of resources, including crystals, Blood Crystals, and savage beast meat, enough to sustain Great Chu Immortal Nation's warriors for a long time.

For Wang Hong, the most significant gain was the seven crystals. Just these crystals alone would provide him with tremendous assistance.

"Spread the word, we will temporarily station ourselves on this island. During this time, we can go out in batches and hunt savage beasts in the vicinity," Wang Hong decided to rest here temporarily and await Skinny Monkey's fleet to gather.
