In the Federal Bureau of Investigation base office in the Metropolis area, Jimmy, who was sitting at the meeting table, stood up and shook hands with Bruce, who had just walked in.

The strong black detective agent always looked somewhat serious. He took a step back to let Bruce walk into the office, and the two sat down at the table.

"Mr. Wayne, thank you very much for taking the time to cooperate with the investigation and contribute to the federal government's security and education efforts," Jimmy politely praised Bruce.

Bruce shook his head slightly, showing a worried expression, and said to Jimmy, "You should know why I'm here. I don't want my educational background to be tarnished, and I don't want the Wayne Group to be involved in this matter."

"I'm here to make sure your investigation doesn't affect my business, and there won't be any rumors that could impact my personal reputation."

Bruce's words were very straightforward, but Jimmy didn't mind. He looked at Bruce seriously and said, "Mr. Wayne, please trust the ability of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. We will uphold the law and do our best to give everyone a satisfactory result."

"Okay, let's get down to business." Bruce seemed a bit impatient. He looked at Jimmy and said, "What do you want to ask me?"

Before Jimmy could speak, Bruce spread his hands and said, "You should know that I'm responsible for the Wayne Group and don't have much time to go to school and study. If you want to understand some of Professor Rodriguez's personal habits from me, you're asking too much."

"Of course." Jimmy nodded and said, "This is just a routine inquiry, and it won't involve any of your or the other party's privacy. If you feel uncomfortable with the questions I'm about to ask, you can refuse to answer."

"Wait, you're not trying to do a psychological evaluation or profile on me, are you?" Bruce frowned and said, "Don't play that game with me. No politician or businessman would allow anyone to pry into their inner thoughts."

Seeing Bruce's very resistant expression, Jimmy sighed lightly and said, "Mr. Wayne, calm down. You haven't accused Professor Rodriguez of anything. As long as you haven't claimed to have been abused by him, we won't conduct any psychological tests on you."

Bruce rolled his eyes and said, "I know Roman and Thomas too. I didn't expect them to be such sensitive people. How could a university professor do anything to them? Don't the Sinnett family and the Elliott family have anyone left?"

Hearing this, Jimmy's eyebrows twitched slightly, but he didn't respond immediately. He silently noted down what Bruce had said.

This was actually one of the doubts Jimmy had discovered in the investigation process. Logically speaking, as the eldest sons and heirs of two major families, Roman and Thomas' normal state should be like what Bruce described - busy with business every day, with little time to go to school.

Even if they went to school for the sake of their reputation, they wouldn't have to be trapped in school and subjected to someone's abuse. They should have the ability to get out of the situation at any time.

Generally speaking, bullying in teacher-student relationships occurs when the teacher is very dominant, but the students are completely powerless to resist.

The two wealthy second-generation students shouldn't be in a situation where they have no ability to resist. Their relationship with the professor shouldn't be so unequal.

Of course, Jimmy wouldn't think that Schiller could be cleared of suspicion because of this. In the end, it still depends on the testimony of the accusers and what happens when the two parties confront each other.

"Okay, Mr. Wayne, let's start. Since you haven't accused Professor Rodriguez of anything, we'll just ask you some simple questions."

Jimmy leaned forward and looked at Bruce, saying, "In your impression, what kind of person do you think this professor is?"

"A very typical university professor." Bruce replied, "He enters the classroom two minutes early to teach, and leaves immediately after class. When lecturing on theoretical courses, you can fall asleep three times in ten minutes. But when it comes to debating topics, he is fair and impartial."

"Can you use one word to describe your first impression of him?"

"Strict," Bruce answered.

Jimmy nodded and then asked, "Do you feel uncomfortable with this strictness?"

Bruce pursed his lips and thought for a moment, then said, "Whether a strict teacher is good or bad often depends on your attitude towards learning. If you want to learn well, a professor with high academic level, seriousness and strictness will naturally be more popular."

"But if you just want to muddle through, like me, and you happen to encounter a strict teacher, you'll probably curse him a million times in your heart."

"Have you done that before?" Jimmy tilted his head slightly and looked at Bruce from under his eyelids.

Bruce shook his head and said, "Why would I want to get on the wrong side of such a professor? Any person with a conscience knows that he is doing it for your own good, just fulfilling his duty as a teacher. He wants to teach me, but I don't need to learn, so we just don't have common interests, but it's not to the point of hatred."

Jimmy slowly furrowed his brow. This famous little Wayne was indeed, as rumored, a somewhat dissolute but extremely shrewd businessman. His words never strayed from common interests and he never made any sharp statements, handling any issue quite smoothly without targeting anyone.

But he had to acknowledge that Bruce's explanation made some sense. The main accusers, Roman and Thomas, were also from business families. They probably chose the psychology major because they felt it might give them some advantages in the business world.

If their family businesses were busy, and the professor required them to study hard, they should be able to understand that the professor was just doing his job. Even if he was teaching them something they didn't need, they shouldn't become enemies.

Moreover, offending such a famous scholar actually has no benefits for businessmen. They all like to find common interests and make friends. No shrewd businessman would, because they couldn't use someone at the moment, go on to mock, be indifferent, and become enemies with them, which is completely against the smooth nature of businessmen.

So Jimmy looked into Bruce's eyes and then asked him, "So how do you see Roman and Thomas? Are you friends? How's the relationship?"

"We can be considered friends."

"Bruce gave an ambiguous answer and said, "I am friends with anyone in Gotham, even if they don't like me, they will still need me."

Jimmy understood the underlying meaning, in other words, given the size of the Wayne Group, no business family would not want to curry favor with Bruce Wayne.

"Let me be honest with you," Bruce said with a sigh, "The two of them, on the surface, have a good relationship with me, but deep down, they are probably very jealous of me. My parents passed away, and I took over the Wayne Group at a young age, effectively holding all the power. But they, on the other hand, are still under the control of their parents and have little freedom. Of course, they would be jealous of me."

Bruce stroked his chin and said, "I recently heard that Thomas was imprisoned, accused of murdering his own parents. It's surprising that the conflict between him and his parents was so great."

"And that Roman, I heard he was recently arrested for planning a hospital murder case. Instead of quickly hiring good lawyers to defend himself, he jumped out to accuse a university professor. I was quite surprised by that."

Jimmy slowly narrowed his eyes and said to Bruce, "It's clear that you want to defend your university professor, but the situation you described has already been thoroughly investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation."

"Of course, Thomas and Roman are both murderers. Personally, I believe that cruel criminals do not deserve sympathy."

"But under federal law, murderers and students are two different identities. They will be imprisoned for the murder charge and pay the price, but they can still exercise their rights as students and accuse their teachers."

Bruce spread his hands, shook his head, and gave an absurd expression, then looked into Jimmy's eyes and said, "Since you've said all this, what else can I say? Do you have any other questions?"

Jimmy looked down at the documents on the desk and then continued, "Have you had any private contact with Professor Rodriguez? What is your relationship like?"

"Of course, we've had contact. I even invited him to have dinner at Wayne Manor. I think it's necessary to maintain a good relationship with such a scholar, but as for a personal relationship..." Bruce shook his head and said, "You should be able to imagine that such a strict teacher would prefer good students. As for me..."

Bruce didn't continue, and Jimmy understood his meaning. Suddenly, Bruce snapped his fingers and said, "Didn't you ask Evans? Oh, he's Little Falcone's star student... Wait, what am I saying? There's no way you could interrogate Falcone!"

Jimmy gave a helpless smile, tilted his head to the side, and with his brows furrowed, he said, "That's the problem. I understand that you want to help Professor Rodriguez, but the fact is, the majority of students we've investigated don't have a very positive opinion of him."

"And those good students you mentioned, most of them are unwilling to cooperate with the investigation, let alone allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation to conduct a psychological evaluation on them. You should understand that this would lead to a more negative evaluation result for Professor Rodriguez."

Bruce pondered for a moment and then said, "Are you asking me to go persuade Falcone or other gang family members' students to come forward?"

Before Jimmy could respond, Bruce continued, "No gang family would ever bow down to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, whether you try to bring them here or you want to enter Gotham. That would be an invasion of their territory."

"I know the Constitution and national honor give you the right to walk on every inch of federal land, and their refusal to let you get close is their mistake. But in reality, you can't correct these mistakes or make them pay the price."

"You'd better not even think about asking me to persuade them. Although the Wayne Group's business is global, I'm still a Gotham native, and the Wayne Group is a local Gotham company. Getting into a conflict with the local gangs would make my life in Gotham unbearable."

Jimmy looked silently at Bruce, and Bruce looked back at him. After a while, Jimmy nodded, accepting the result.

He put the documents away, but didn't immediately stand up to shake Bruce's hand. Instead, he sat there, placing his hands on the desktop, and said to Bruce, "I can express my personal view on this investigation. I believe that criminals capable of committing such cruel acts of murdering their own parents and other strangers are not worthy of sympathy at any time."

"Their accusations against others are completely the pot calling the kettle black. There are likely some unspeakable secrets behind it." Jimmy's expression was very calm, as if he was not expressing this somewhat radical opinion.

"I hope to ensure fairness for both sides, including Professor Rodriguez, but the problem is, we currently have too little evidence from the investigation that is favorable to him."

Jimmy stood up, holding the documents. He lightly tapped the edge of the documents on the desktop to align the papers, and in a somewhat mysterious tone, said to Bruce:

"Mr. Wayne, if you don't want your educational background to be tarnished, you'd better act quickly."
