Today we are going to learn how to play "King of the Road" by Roger Miller in the fingerstyle. This song is a ton of fun to play as it has a very cool rolling, mellow melody with some random points of emphasis that really add to the song. It is very approachable if you are new to the style, nothing to tricky and even the harder parts have some easier ways to play them if you feel overwhelmed by some of the chord shapes being used. The original song was in Bb and had a key change, this version is in C, much easier to harmonize and play on the ukulele and it doesn't contain the key change, it is just in C for the entire song. It is broken down into an AABA format with the A being a 16 bar verse and the B part is an 8 bar bridge, we break them all down note by note, 4 bars at a time and then at the end of the tutorial there is a full play-along of the entire song.
