Hey Good Lookin' by Hank Williams in the fingerstyle/chord melody/solo ukulele style

Today we are going to learn how to play Hey Good Lookin' by Hank Williams, chord melody style with some travis picking to boot! This song is one of my favorites from one of my favorite song writers of all time, and the founder of the 27 club, Hank Williams, Sr. This song was released in 1951. In 2001 it was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and in 2003 CMT, Country Music Television, voted the song 19th greatest country song of all time. The song is a basic A B format, or a verse and a chorus, but you'll see that the lyrics are changing every time the chorus comes around.

Another one of my fall time favorite song writers, Cole Porter, wrote a song called Hey Good Lookin' in 1942 for the broadway musical "Something for the Boys" which Hank said that he "borrowed heavily from." The story goes that Hank wrote his version on a plane in 20 minutes for his friend Jimmy Dickens, but when he finished he decided to keep it for himself because he jokingly told Dickens "that song is too good for you."
