Today we are going to learn how to fingerpick, but not just learn a fingerpicking pattern and then play it over the exact same chord shapes, but actually how to find those chord tones in different spots on the fretboard and create more unique and full sounding layers that you can use when arranging ukulele covers, playing covers with multiple ukuleles, writing your own songs on the ukulele or just trying to mix up a cover you've played a million times and make it sound like it is more your own take on the song.
Make sure you use the tabs with this one, ideally you would take what you learn in this lesson and apply it to a chord progression that you are comfotable with, so you can not only learn the concept but also internalize it and utilitze it as well. There are two MP3 tracks with this lesson, one with the fingerpicking and one without. Use the one with to get the timing down just right, use the one without to try and play the fingerpicking pattern, but without the help of the backing track. After you get that try and create your OWN fingerpicking pattern to play over the backing track.
