Mr. Big - To Be With You - SOLO (Patreon)

We did this song about two weeks ago and I got a message from a Patreon asking if we could teach the solo and it sounded like a perfect idea for a Wednesday lesson. The general balance is songs on Saturdays and concepts, theory, techniques, scales, etc on Wednesdays. I like to teach the solos on Wednesday, too, when possible. The solo is only 8 measures and it is fairly straight forward as a lot of it is a lovely arrangement of double stops that are 8th and 1/4 beats that follow the melody. There are some quick hammer ons and pull offs on the 4th and 8th measures and pretty tricky 2 beat run of some 16ths, but all in all if you are looking for a good solo to be our first solo this is a great one. The double stops are also a nice little trick to examine and analyze so you can throw them into your own playing and improve your solo composition and improvisation while jamming.
