Today we are breaking down DADGAD...on the Ukulele? So, you can't play it exactly the same because we only have 4 strings, not 6, so how can we get it on the Ukulele? If you want the exact same notes you can tune the Ukulele GDDA... but it doesn't have the same personality, so let's try and get that DADGAD energy. If you take a guitar, tune it to DADGAD and put a capo on the 5th fret you get GDGCDG, and from the 4th string up it was GCDG, so that is our DADGAD style tuning on the ukulele, now we have an Open Gsus4 tuning for our Ukulele.

I will walk you through the tuning and its magic as well as all the hot spots on the ukulele, cool drone sounding chords that you can use and the G major scale. Because it is a sus tuning you could also build songs around the G minor scale as well.
