New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday, subscribe and learn Today we are going to learn how to play the classic Georgia's On My Mind by Ray Charles on the Ukulele. I listened to a lot of versions of this song, of course starting with Ray himself, then covers, instrumentals on piano, guitar, ukulele to name a few, then I took all my favorite pieces from all the versions and put them together into a fun and beautiful version that is a lot of fun to play. There are barre chords but the rhythm is basic with most of it being quarter tones with a mix of 8th notes as well. I have heard the tempo to be played as 'longingly" which I am going to guess is just loose and emotive. I was very sick in filming this, I had the flu (covid test came back negative) and because of course life can be funny I hurt my back the day before I became sick, so I did my best to muscle through the tutorial, but excuse the sick creature that you see in the intro.
