Today we are going to learn how to play "Wild Blue" by John Mayer on the ukulele. This song at its core is an easy beginner song, but it is also covered in interesting rhythmic and harmonic ideas. So to make sure we have something for everyone I taught an easy beginner singer version first and then after that I broke down all the cool stuff that John plays on the guitar. That would make this a great song to learn to play with a friend and it would be a blast to jam out blues you can apply these ideas to other songs as well.

Awesome thank you for covering! I'm in the" love" John Mayer camp. This is one of my favorite songs off that album - it's as if John Mayer and Jack Johnson bred a song together, haha. And maybe John's next album will be 70's inspired!? He could certainly pull it off!

He could totally pull it off, have you ever seen his cover of Cissy Strut? It is soooo good. if not, check out "John Mayer - Cissy Strut" we also did a tutorial for that song, but it is based more on the original song by The Meters. I too, am in the love camp.
